Madonna In Givenchy – 2015 Grammy Awards

Madonna In Givenchy - 2015 Grammy Awards_

Madonna may have been among the earlier arrivals for the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8), but she certainly was not to be missed as she staked her sartorial claim on the red carpet at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

It’s been some time since we’ve seen the music icon on the scene, and she has come back with a bang. The icon who last year turned heads at the 2014 Grammys with a mannish suit, fedora, and a gold grill, went in an opposite yet no less arresting direction this year.

Her burlesque-inspired Givenchy ensemble this evening sees her returning to her more old-school Madge days. With this look, she could walk straight into the cabaret and hit the stage without making so much as a slight costume change.

The lace-encrusted, ribbon-accented, corseted bodysuit made use of every manageable bit of embellishment, even if it did prove just a teensy bit tight for those twins.

To accompany the theatrical piece, she left no accessory behind—from the fingerless arm gloves to the black fishnets and over-the-knee boots. Of course, her netted terrero-inspired hat, which sat atop retro platinum pin curls and a sultry cat-eye, was the icing on this dramatic layered cake of a look.

Was this leather-and-lace overload both over-the-top and oozing of extravagance? Yes. But this is Madonna and this is the Grammys. And this is how to get the night started on a memorable note.

Julia Roberts In Givenchy – 2015 SAG Awards

Julia Roberts In Givenchy - 2015 SAG Awards

Julia Roberts attended the 2015 SAG Awards held on Sunday evening (January 25) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

The actress, nominated for ‘The Normal Heart’, wore a tuxedo-inspired black jumpsuit from Givenchy making it the second year in a row she has worn a jumpsuit to the SAG Awards. She accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Considering Julia was recently named the face of Givenchy, I was hoping she would pull out all of the stops. The jumpsuit fits her fairly well. However, the satin detail at the hips feel poorly placed and it’s just generally a bit meh.

I never get tired of that incredible hair and thousand-watt smile but I want to see Julia have a major fashion moment this season.

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture – 2015 SAG Awards

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture - 2015 SAG Awards 2

Julianne Moore glowed, per usual, on the red carpet on Sunday (January 25) at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

I’m a big fan of Julianne’s sartorial choices–she always manages to look flawless and modern with her constant lean towards interesting details and shapes. And her SAG Awards choice of Givenchy Couture was no different.

The rich emerald hue looked impeccable against Julianne’s porcelain skin and fiery locks. The simple silhouette allowed for the beading, which gave the gown some movement, to take center stage–err, red carpet.

Julianne punctuated her red carpet style with jewels by Chopard jewels in the form of circular purple stone earrings and a stack of glittery rings.

What do you think of Julianne’s SAG style?

Julianne Moore In Givenchy – Watch What Happens Live

Julianne Moore In Givenchy - Watch What Happens Live

Julianne Moore made a guest appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Wednesday (January 21), which is taped in New York City.

Combining her favourites, Givenchy and black, the Golden Globe winner wore a loose-fit ruffled-hem dress.

While failing to really excite, the look does uphold comfort with LBD charm.

Styled with Givenchy sandals, the look was completed with ruffled waves.

Which way do you think Julianne will go this weekend? Tom Ford or Givenchy again?

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Julianne Moore In Givenchy – 2015 Golden Globes

Julianne Moore ruled the Red Carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

Switching it up from her usual black ensembles, the actress wore a custom Givenchy Couture gown, boasting a sparkly bodice and feather detail.

I think that Julianne definitely pulled off this fierce look, but I would have preferred it if her hair was pulled back in a loose bun at the nape of the neck. This would have emphasized the high neckline, and better accentuated her glitzy Chopard earrings.

Her smoky-eyed makeup and dramatic lashes are in synchrony with the gown’s dark detail, leading to an elegant look from head to toe.

4th Annual Sean Penn & Friends ‘Help Haiti Home’ Gala Benefit

4th Annual Sean Penn & Friends 'Help Haiti Home' Gala Benefit

The 4th Annual Sean Penn & Friends HELP HAITI HOME Gala Benefiting J/P Haitian Relief Organization was held at the Montage Hotel on Saturday (January 10) in Los Angeles, California, which raise approximately $6 million.

Charlize Theron: Joining her fiancé on the red carpet, the South-African actress added a touch of glamour to proceedings wearing a beaded Givenchy halter-neck dress with a shimmering effect that no doubt grabbed attention of the night along with the sight of those long, lean legs. The look was styled simply with Givenchy black accessories and Harry Winston jewels.

Reese Witherspoon: The actress wore a black Balenciaga v-neck frock accented with crystal detailing styled with Christian Louboutin black satin ‘Gardnera’ sandals. Despite the bling, I’m still waiting for Reese it take things back up to fifth gear; this effort is stalling in second.

Salma Hayek: If the dress code was LBD, Salma flaunted the rules wearing a Stella McCartney fitted, racer-front, teal-blue gown with sexy lace panels snaking down the sides giving her an even slinkier silhouette. Styled with an oversized blue clutch, the look was completed with diamond jewels and kohl-rimmed eyes. I can’t wait to see her on the red carpet tonight at the Golden Globes.

For me Salma was the best of the bunch. What do you think?
