Models @ 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Here is a roundup of the models who attended amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 21) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Karolína Kurková: On this occasion, the model wore an Alexis Mabille Couture gown which was a cleverly reworked shirt dress. It’s all in the details.

Karlie Kloss: The model continued to impress on the red carpet, this time smouldering in Tom Ford.

De Grisogono Divine Party

De Grisogono Divine Party

Actresses and models were in attendance at the de Grisogono Divine Party, held during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (May 19) in Cap d’Antibes, France, where de Grisogono jewels were naturally the most striking accessory of the evening.

Karlie Kloss: The model stepped up her game in an embellished Oscar de la Renta gown in a vibrant shade of blue, although the skirt really needed to be steamed.

Joan Smalls: Her statement earrings popped against the all-black look, where the Givenchy Couture semi-sheer gown flaunted a sculpted, futuristic vibe.

Charlize Theron In Givenchy Couture – Life Ball 2015

Charlize Theron In Givenchy Couture - Life Ball 2015

Charlize Theron spoke at the Life Ball 2015 at City Hall in Vienna, Austria on Saturday (May 16).

Succumbing to the sheer madness, even the actress was not immune to the see-through trend in a Givenchy Couture design notable for its bold, embellished tribal patterning in addition to the lacy perforated skirt.

The dress was quite complex, some may say overworked, so she paired it simply with black Givenchy sandals.

I wish her effortless ponytail and diamond earrings had a more sleek gown counterpart to fully maximize her beautiful on-stage presence.

Hailee Steinfeld In Givenchy – 2015 Billboard Music Awards

Hailee Steinfeld In Givenchy - 2015 Billboard Music Awards

Hailee Steinfeld attended the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, hosted at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (May 17).

Still adhering to her prairie-girl style, the starlet wore a Givenchy Spring 2015 black-and-white crochet frock.

I’m frankly puzzled by this selection tonight, as it lands more into the category of country-western cowgirl especially as styled with the belt, black boots, and ponytail.

We’ve seen her debut some interesting experimental looks lately, but this one falls short of directional flair and lacks a bit of personality.

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture - 'Mad Max Fury Road' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Julianne Moore attended the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ premiere during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in Cannes, France.

Velvet in summer is normally something I would frown upon, but when you’re on a hot streak you roll with it.

Looking ever so elegant and continuing her dramatic approach to dressing for this festival, Julianne stunned wearing a blood-red custom Givenchy gown.

Styled with Chopard jewels and matching velvet pumps, she’s managed to do the impossible by outdoing her opening-ceremony look.

Again I have to ask: where was this dress-confidence during awards season?

Are you about ready to crown her Queen of Cannes?

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.
