Rooney Mara In Givenchy – The Maison Cartier Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Their Emblem La Panthere De Cartier

Rooney Mara In Givenchy - The Maison Cartier Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Their Emblem La Panthere De Cartier

Rooney Mara attended the 100th anniversary celebration of Maison Cartier’s emblem, La Panthère De Cartier, held at Skylight Clarkson Studios on Wednesday (November 12) in New York City.

No surprises, the actress wore black, donning a look from the Givenchy Spring 2015 collection which is a collection I knew we would see her wearing considering the many black options, some evoking the darkly gothic romantic style she tends to favour.

Styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, I just love how this lace-panelled and satin-hemmed ruched design is enriched with feminine details that spell out elegance.

Super slicked-back hair and a signature deep berry lip rounded out this exquisite look.

It takes a lot for me to love black but she nailed it.

Alicia Keys, Madonna & Joan Smalls In Givenchy – 9th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

Alicia Keys, Madonna & Joan Smalls In Givenchy - 9th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

The Keep A Child Alive Annual Black Ball held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday (October 30) in New York City turned out to be something of a Givenchy-fest.

Alicia Keys: The pregnant host, who looks ready to pop any day soon, looked divine wearing a sumptuous black satin off-the-shoulder empire-waist Givenchy Couture gown with shimmering silver straps custom made by Riccardo Tisci, who was also in attendance at this charitable event. Matching silver and onyx drop earrings and silver bracelets accessorized her look, with a pop of pink to the lips providing the finishing touch.

Madonna: The queen of pop was in the house, donning a corseted black frock with a delicate black lace skirt from Givenchy’s Spring 2015 collection styled with her signature crucifix, lace gloves, and leather boots which it took three people to help her get into.

Joan Smalls: While brown might not be our favourite red carpet colour, who can argue that Joan Smalls doesn’t look stunning in her Givenchy Spring 2015 keyhole gown with a smattering of shimmering embellishments? Factor in that dark-berry lip and you have me at her feet saying “We are not worthy”. What a goddess.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture – ‘Interstellar’ LA Premiere

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture - 'Interstellar' LA Premiere

Jessica Chastain attended the ‘Interstellar’ LA premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Sunday (October 26) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Givenchy Haute Couture gown custom made by Riccardo Tisci.

Her gown is quite unassuming from the front, even with the laser-cut leather lace appliqués, but things get a lot more interesting from the side and back as the lace panel and open back are revealed.

Styled with Givenchy sandals and a breathtaking pair of Fred Leighton carved jade and diamond earrings, the actress looks as stunning and as graceful as ever, but I would only consider this a BDOTW look when viewing the dress from the side.

Veronica Lake-esque tresses and a ruby lip rounded out her look.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture – American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture - American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jessica Chastain attended the 28th American Cinematheque Award presentation honouring Matthew McConaughey held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (October 21) in Beverly Hills, California.

Yellow has always been a colour favoured by Jessica Chastain – remember her Zac Posen Cannes Film Festival gown, her Viktor & Rolf Toronto Film Festival gown and her Oscar de la Renta dress?

On this occasion she delights in her favourite hue wearing a custom-made Givenchy Couture draped halter dress by Riccardo Tisci which is simple in design but made all the more compelling with that bejewelled neckline, which she complements with sky-blue Suzanne Kalan stud earrings.

Accented with a gold belt, she styled her look with Givenchy shark-lock sandals and a slicked-back ‘do.

Who Wore Givenchy Better…Naomi Watts or Lindsay Lohan?

Who Wore Givenchy Better Naomi Watts or Lindsay Lohan

Naomi Watts wore a shimmering sequined Givenchy Pre-Fall 2014 dress to the 13th Annual AARP Movies For Grownups Awards Gala back in February, styling her frock with a black Jimmy Choo clutch, Anita Ko ‘Dagger’ earrings and nude strappy sandals.

Lindsay Lohan wore the same dress earlier this month, styling her look with sparkling pumps which matched her dress.

Usually a fan of matchy matchy, it didn’t work in Lindsay’s favour. Regardless, Naomi’s styling of the look ensured she was the clear winner.

Lindsay Lohan In Givenchy – ‘Speed The Plow’ Press Night After-Party

Lindsay Lohan In Givenchy - 'Speed The Plow' Press Night After-Party

Lindsay Lohan attended the press night after-party of ‘Speed The Plow’ held at the National Liberal Club on Thursday (October 2) in London, England following her performance.

The words ‘Lindsay’ and ‘hot mess’ have often been used in the same sentence when commenting on her looks, but that is not the case on this occasion.

Her Givenchy frock certainly brought the glitz factor to the occasion, sparkling with pink shimmering sequins which shine against the figure-hugging silhouette for a limelight-stealing look.

Minimal accessories were needed; however, I wish she’d upped her shoe game as the matching sparkling Louboutins are lame. She can do better.

You may remember that Naomi Watts wore this same dress earlier this year.
