Will Smith Prada

With the release of the film ‘After Earth’, stars Will and Jaden Smith have been stylishly travelling across the globe for their promo tour to take on Asia, which has given us some interesting looks from both of them.

Will wore mostly Prada, whereas Jaden stuck to a black-and-white colour palette.

Tokyo Premiere: On the first stop the two of them sported dark colour schemes: Will wore a grey suit with a printed tie. Jaden wore all black save for his printed socks.  This is the first time I like harem pants.

Taipei Press Conference: Keeping the dark colour scheme intact, Will paired his black Prada suit with a grey shirt and dark grey tie, yawn.  Jaden, on the other hand, opted for a spirted black-and-white look.

Anne Hathaway In Givenchy - 2013 Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner

Anne Hathaway’s new blonde ‘do, which she debuted at the 2013 Met Gala, appears to have given her a new lease of life, of which I am very grateful.

The actress looked fierce once again on Wednesday evening while attending the 2013 Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner held at Skylight Studios in New York City wearing a Givenchy Spring 2013 mini dress.

Her pink high-neck organza frock with gold metal plaque insets at the shoulder signals that Anne is back to having fun with fashion.

Gold Pour La Victoire’s metallic ‘Bethanie’ sandals, a gold Jimmy Choo clutch and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Do you like Anne’s new look, or is she trying too hard?

Met Men

To celebrate the new ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, some of the biggest celebs walked down the red carpet. In honour of the exhibit, many of the men chose to give their formal looks a bit of punk inspiration, which made for an exciting menswear event.

Eddie Redmayne: The red carpet phenom added another beautiful look to his collection, wearing a Dior Homme navy-blue wool tuxedo with black grosgrain peak lapels. As always, it fit just right. To finish it off, Eddie added a white cotton shirt, a black satin bow tie, a white pocket square, and black patent-leather derbies.

Frank Ocean: In a Givenchy black tuxedo, Frank looked incredibly dapper for the event. His two-button notch-lapel tux fit well and he paired it classically with a white shirt and black bow tie. To give the outfit a little kick of punk, Frank opted for shoes with silver studs going around the soles – a very cool addition.

Joshua Jackson: I’ve never been OK with wearing a red tie to a red carpet event. It’s cheesy. I don’t like that aspect of his outfit, but I love the beige linen lapels on his Dior Homme black suit. Even though it’s a small detail on his jacket, it made for a stylish look. Joshua topped it off with a white cotton shirt and a Chanel ‘J12 Black Matte Ceramic’ watch.

Met Gala 2013

Here is a roundup of the rest of the ladies who took to the red carpet for the 2013 Met Gala on Monday evening. Models @ The Met post will follow.

Brooklyn Decker: The actress wore a custom Peter Pilotto look inspired by the Spring 2013 collection. While the look is custom I feel like I have seen this look several times before, so there is nothing fresh or new about it, unlike other custom looks as showcased by Karolina Kurkova and several others. Her Sergio Rossi ‘Hypnos’ sandals, however, are a work of art.

Alicia Keys: The singer took to the red carpet wearing a custom Jason Wu gown. Her black leather and bordeaux sequin embroidered halter gown is beautiful, but I wish Alicia had pushed the punk vibe with the styling a bit more; the red streaks in her hair aren’t enough for me, especially when we know Alicia isn’t afraid of taking a fashion risk. Robert Lee Morris jewels and a vintage clutch completed her look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal: The actress wore a beautiful custom Calvin Klein scarlet gown for the occasion which was punked up as far as she would go with a studded choker and a Tod’s black studded clutch with a gold frame. While I do love this look, I wish Maggie had gone bra shopping before this event.

Kim Kardashian Givenchy - 2013 Met Gala

I know this is one post you weren’t expecting to see, but I was so horrified at how bad Kim Kardashian looked at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday evening that I was compelled to write something.

Anna Wintour lifted her bar on the reality TV star from last year’s Met Gala to allow her to walk proudly with her baby daddy Kanye West on the red carpet on Monday evening.
As you know, Anna has final approval on the looks, so this could be her having the last laugh.

I mean, really, this floral Givenchy Fall 2013 blossom gown is not only horrendous but it is doing nothing for her and I have seen it from every angle.

We have complained that some didn’t try hard enough last night, but Kim tried too hard. Her desperation was oozing from her every pore.

Aside from the side slit, I think the high-neck, built-in-glove gown made her look frumpy. Just when I thought she was getting to grips with her maternity style, which she was fighting against for so long, this goes and happens.

Stéphane Rolland would’ve made her a far more flattering gown.

Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy Couture - 2013 Met Gala

The biggest shocker of the night would’ve been if Amanda Seyfried had not worn Givenchy to the 2013 Met Gala, but of course she did.

The blonde beauty selected a dramatic print gown with a draped back from the Givenchy Spring 2007 Couture collection.

Not only was the print eye-catching, but also the lengthy train. What is the Met Gala without a dramatic train?

Opting for flawless makeup, Amanda completed her look with Fred Leighton jewels.
