Models @ The 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

Aside from Taylor Swift’s after-party look, there wasn’t much to shout about on the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held at London’s Earls Court on Tuesday (December 2) which had a distinct black or white theme.

Karlie Kloss: Standing out for its non-revealing nature was Karlie Kloss’s look. The figure-hugging silhouette and sexy slit worked in an artful juxtaposition with the demure high neck and almost Victorian bow to the neckline of the Alexander McQueen dress, which was styled with a skull-clasp clutch.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Too tight and so tacky. That pretty much sums up my feelings about this ridiculous yet expected Balmain Spring 2015 look. A sure contender for WDOTY.

Candice Swanepoel: Also taking the revealing route was Candice, whose Zuhair Murad white floral embroidered sheer long-sleeve Spring 2015 gown left precious little to the imagination.

Julianne Moore In Givenchy – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Julianne Moore In Givenchy - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Julianne Moore attended IFP’s 24th Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

The actress wore a Givenchy Spring 2015 black and white knitted dress with silk lace panels accented with metal studs, which made me scream “no, no, a thousand times no”.

Julianne is much better than this. The dress is so ill-fitted, unflattering, poorly designed and not up to her usual standards.

I weep for this look and hope that she turns things around quickly for her next red carpet appearance.

Rooney Mara In Givenchy – The Maison Cartier Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Their Emblem La Panthere De Cartier

Rooney Mara In Givenchy - The Maison Cartier Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Their Emblem La Panthere De Cartier

Rooney Mara attended the 100th anniversary celebration of Maison Cartier’s emblem, La Panthère De Cartier, held at Skylight Clarkson Studios on Wednesday (November 12) in New York City.

No surprises, the actress wore black, donning a look from the Givenchy Spring 2015 collection which is a collection I knew we would see her wearing considering the many black options, some evoking the darkly gothic romantic style she tends to favour.

Styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, I just love how this lace-panelled and satin-hemmed ruched design is enriched with feminine details that spell out elegance.

Super slicked-back hair and a signature deep berry lip rounded out this exquisite look.

It takes a lot for me to love black but she nailed it.

Alicia Keys, Madonna & Joan Smalls In Givenchy – 9th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

Alicia Keys, Madonna & Joan Smalls In Givenchy - 9th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

The Keep A Child Alive Annual Black Ball held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday (October 30) in New York City turned out to be something of a Givenchy-fest.

Alicia Keys: The pregnant host, who looks ready to pop any day soon, looked divine wearing a sumptuous black satin off-the-shoulder empire-waist Givenchy Couture gown with shimmering silver straps custom made by Riccardo Tisci, who was also in attendance at this charitable event. Matching silver and onyx drop earrings and silver bracelets accessorized her look, with a pop of pink to the lips providing the finishing touch.

Madonna: The queen of pop was in the house, donning a corseted black frock with a delicate black lace skirt from Givenchy’s Spring 2015 collection styled with her signature crucifix, lace gloves, and leather boots which it took three people to help her get into.

Joan Smalls: While brown might not be our favourite red carpet colour, who can argue that Joan Smalls doesn’t look stunning in her Givenchy Spring 2015 keyhole gown with a smattering of shimmering embellishments? Factor in that dark-berry lip and you have me at her feet saying “We are not worthy”. What a goddess.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture – ‘Interstellar’ LA Premiere

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture - 'Interstellar' LA Premiere

Jessica Chastain attended the ‘Interstellar’ LA premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Sunday (October 26) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Givenchy Haute Couture gown custom made by Riccardo Tisci.

Her gown is quite unassuming from the front, even with the laser-cut leather lace appliqués, but things get a lot more interesting from the side and back as the lace panel and open back are revealed.

Styled with Givenchy sandals and a breathtaking pair of Fred Leighton carved jade and diamond earrings, the actress looks as stunning and as graceful as ever, but I would only consider this a BDOTW look when viewing the dress from the side.

Veronica Lake-esque tresses and a ruby lip rounded out her look.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture – American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture - American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jessica Chastain attended the 28th American Cinematheque Award presentation honouring Matthew McConaughey held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (October 21) in Beverly Hills, California.

Yellow has always been a colour favoured by Jessica Chastain – remember her Zac Posen Cannes Film Festival gown, her Viktor & Rolf Toronto Film Festival gown and her Oscar de la Renta dress?

On this occasion she delights in her favourite hue wearing a custom-made Givenchy Couture draped halter dress by Riccardo Tisci which is simple in design but made all the more compelling with that bejewelled neckline, which she complements with sky-blue Suzanne Kalan stud earrings.

Accented with a gold belt, she styled her look with Givenchy shark-lock sandals and a slicked-back ‘do.
