Chris Pine In Giorgio Armani - 87th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Chris Pine was on hand to announce the 87th Academy Awards nominations on Thursday (January 15), which was held at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

As the current face of one of Giorgio Armani’s signature fragrances, ‘Armani Code’, it was not a surprise to see the handsome actor wearing a suit by the Italian brand.

Beautifully tailored with construction to ensure the masculine shape remains strong through the shoulders and chest, his Giorgio Armani Made to Measure charcoal-grey two-button notch-lapel suit styled with a classic white open shirt was given an extra flourish via his dotted pocket square.

2015 Golden Globes Menswear Roundup

2015 Golden Globes Menswear Roundup

The guys were none too shabby when it came to their sartorial selections at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, held last night (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, boasting a range of looks that went way beyond the standard black tux.

Matt Bomer: The Best Supporting Actor winner for ‘The Normal Heart’ was dressed just as winningly in an impeccable Ralph Lauren Black Label navy shawl collar tuxedo that naturally brought out his own baby blues and was handsomely paired with a dark bowtie and crisp white button-down shirt.

Eddie Redmayne: Looking as sharp as ever, ‘The Theory of Everything’ Best Actor winner took a Euro-cool version of black velvet out for a spin, donning a Gucci notch-lapel, two-button New Signoria evening jacket with a white evening shirt, black satin bowtie, black tuxedo trousers and black patent leather lace-up shoes.

Alan Cumming
: Having quite the nude moment, ‘The Good Wife’ actor and nominee wore a buff wool, two-button peak lapel tuxedo, buff dress shirt and buff silk skinny tie from the Spring 2015 Calvin Klein Collection. Between the monochromatic buff-ness and the rolled pant legs, not to mention his Christian Louboutin ‘Mika On Stage’ sneakers, this look translated as more comical than cool.

Quvenzhane Wallis In Giorgio Armani – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Quvenzhane Wallis In Giorgio Armani - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Quvenzhane Wallis attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

The young actress, who is the face of Armani Junior, wore a custom Giorgio Armani cream and lilac gown.

The look is so very sophisticated, as one would expect from an Armani piece, while still maintaining a young, fun, sweet outlook.

Diamond jewels and ringlets completed her adorable look.

You may remember during her 2013 award season run Quvenzhane always carried a dog-shaped bag, but on this occasion her greatest accessory was her gorgeous smile.

Bella Thorne In Giorgio Armani - 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Bella Thorne attended the 41st Annual People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live on Wednesday (January 7) in Los Angeles, California.

Know for her love of sugary dresses, the Disney actress opted to suit up on this occasion, donning a well-tailored shawl-collared one-button Armani suit.

Opting to go sans blouse, the 17-year-old actress completed her look with Armani strappy sandals and an orange-tinged lip shade.

Having fallen out of love with Bella’s style in recent times, this is much more like it. Sexy, chic and elegant without over-accessorizing or a hint of try-hard.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 16 dec

Here is a quick look at some of the dapper gents taking to the red carpet this week.

Common: The actor attended the ‘Selma’ New York premiere alongside the lovely Tessa Thompson on Sunday (December 14), looking pretty sharp himself wearing a Calvin Klein Collection suit. While the cut and fit is to be admired, I can’t help swooning at how the oxblood hue is so heavenly against his caramel skin tone. Styled with a blush shirt and patterned tie, the look was completed by a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood lace-up shoes with a contrast trim.

Bradley Cooper: The actor was back to his super-sharp best, donning a black silky-smooth cashmere Tom Ford suit to the ‘American Sniper’ New York premiere. The look is simple and classic, which only serves to bring out those gorgeous blue eyes. While I prefer Cooper with a bit of stubble, this clean-shaven look does have me swooning.

Dan Stevens: The British actor attended the ‘Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb’ London premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square on Monday (December 15). The buttoned-up shirt tieless look doesn’t always work for me as it has a feeling of being not quite finished, yet with the slickness of the Armani suit styled with the studded shoes, I would say Dan pulls this look off with great aplomb.

2014 Glamour Awards

2014 Glamour Awards

There was yet more glamour to be had on the red carpet (aside from Diane Kruger and Poppy Delevingne) at the 2014 Glamour Awards in Milan, Italy, on Thursday (December 10).

Nicoletta Romanoff: The Italian actress keeps up her love affair with all things Valentino, wearing a red and burgundy lace panel dress styled with a red studded Valentino clutch.

Sofia Odescalchi: The journalist brings a wish-list dress to life, donning a strapless Fendi pretty pink floral dress styled with a contrasting Fendi clutch to give the look a slight edge.

Valentina Corti: Looking radiant in Giorgio Armani, I’m delighted to see that she opted for a better clutch option than Cheryl Fernandez-Versini when she wore the same dress earlier this month.
