Bella Thorne In Vintage Giorgio Armani – 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

Bella Thorne In Vintage Giorgio Armani - 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

Bella Thorne was also among the PYTs at the 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party with Emporio Armani, hosted on Friday (September 26) in Los Angeles, California.

She paired a vintage Giorgio Armani navy beaded striped top with black wide-leg Emporio Armani cropped trousers.

I wanted to like her mix of retro and contemporary, but ultimately the styling and the fit put me off this look.

The pants translated as semi-clownish and the tube top seemed as if might slip off at some point. As for the bright-blue patent heels and white python, chain-strap clutch, they were jarring accompaniments—nor did her silver necklace and bangles make sense.

Even her glorious, flame-red waves seemed to fall lacklustre in the face of this ensemble, rather than setting it afire.

Jaimie Alexander In Giorgio Armani – HBO’s Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception

Jaimie Alexander In Giorgio Armani - HBO’s Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception

Jaimie Alexander attended HBO’s Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception held at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center on Monday (August 25) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress, who’s known for her love of figure-hugging – and, at times, revealing – frocks, this time opted for a very sophisticated look from Giorgio Armani’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

The white silk long-sleeved layered cocktail dress with a plunging opening and a thin black belt closure at the neckline was styled with a selection of jewels from Sethi Couture, Le Vian and M.C.L by Matthew Campbell Laurenza, plus an Emm Kuo ‘Guggenheim’ oyster-shell and black resin and stingray minaudière clutch with blue lapis detail, and black Stuart Weitzman pumps.

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While the constellation of actresses on the scene at the 2014 Emmy Awards had all of us focused on the range of red-carpet gowns and glam, there was plenty more eye candy to be had with the men in the mix at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday night (August 25).

Matthew McConaughey: Not one to ever be a shrinking violet, the ‘True Detective’ actor and nominee suited up in a bold blue Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with contrasting black lapels, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘New Orleans’ flats, and a Bulgari watch and cufflinks. Was it my favourite look of his? Perhaps not. It even drew ‘A Night at the Roxbury’ comparisons among the Twitter-verse. But, with that handsome gaze, he can pull off anything.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ Emmy winner couldn’t have accepted his trophy in more classic fashion. He wore top-to-toe Prada in a black kid-mohair tuxedo, with a two-button notch-lapel design and velvet trim on the collar. A white smoking silk shirt, black bowtie and black spazzolato lace-up shoes, plus a Bulgari timepiece, completed the look.

Ty Burrell: Channeling his own blue mood, the ‘Modern Family’ Emmy winner wore a custom Todd Snyder tuxedo that was made especially for his big night. The Italian wool design was a collaborative effort between Ty, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and the designer and boasts a unique shade of blue called ‘dusk,’ which nicely updates the tux from the more standard colourways of black and navy.

Priyanka Chopra In Giorgio Armani – Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Priyanka Chopra In Giorgio Armani - Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Priyanka Chopra made a guest appearance on a popular television show in Mumbai called ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ yesterday evening (August 19) to promote her new movie, ‘Mary Kom’, which is about a boxer who has won the world championship several times against all odds.

Undeterred by the somewhat bitter taste Will Arnett left in your mouth by wearing a white suit on the red carpet, the Bollywood actress donned a crisp white Giorgio Armani suit.

J’adore the sleekness of the look, the clean lines and the rather interesting black scoop top emblazoned with the phrase “you just can’t beat a person who won’t give up”, no doubt in reference to her movie.

Sunshine-yellow Jimmy Choo ‘Tebori’ sandals and Suhani Pittie jewels accessorized her look, with a flaming-red lip, slicked-back hair and smouldering eyes rounding out her look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Rachel McAdams In Zuhair Murad Couture, Zoe Saldana In Valentino, Chris Hemsworth In Dolce & Gabbana & Chadwick Boseman In Giorgio Armani

BDOTW Women 28 July

Rachel McAdams was your runaway winner this week for her gorgeous Zuhair Murad Couture cocktail dress worn to the ‘A Most Wanted Man’ premiere.

You not only loved how beautiful she looked, but also the change in direction.

My favourite was Zoe Saldana. After a so-so showing at Cannes, this look sees her back to her best.

The Valentino gown she wore to the London ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ premiere was soft, pretty and feminine, which was also a change in pace from the directional look she donned to the LA premiere.

When it came to the guys, Chris Hemsworth was your clear winner, looking sharp in his Dolce & Gabbana outfit. I was seduced by the cool-blue Armani suit worn by ‘Get On Up’ actor Chadwick Boseman. Styling and fit were very much on point.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Men222

There were plenty of fellas taking to the red carpet last night (July 21). Here is a quick roundup.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor attended ‘The F Word’ premiere held at Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Canada. He looked as sharp as ever, donning a blue-black suit from Saint Laurent, keeping the mood fairly relaxed by opting to go sans tie. Christian Louboutin ‘Trepeter’ flats rounded out his sleek look.

Chris Pratt: Joining his lovely wife Anna Faris and Zoe Saldana at the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ LA premiere, Chris showed off his new sculptured body wearing a SAND Copenhagen grey suit. Styled with a light-pink shirt, navy textured tie, polka-dot pocket square and Chopard Mille Miglia rose-gold timepiece, the actor has never looked better.

Chadwick Boseman: The handsome actor wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure dark cobalt blue and burgundy glen plaid two-button notch lapel suit with a pale lavender shirt, navy and burgundy neck tie and a burgundy pocket square to the premiere of ‘Get On Up’ in New York City. This look made me swoon; from the colour combo to the impeccably tailored fit.

Menswear Roundup

Menswear 26 June

Here is a quick look at what some of the guys were wearing on the red carpet yesterday.

Ansel Elgort: The young actor attended the Valentino show as part of Paris Fashion Week Menswear Spring 2015 in France. Wearing a Spring 2014 navy suit with epaulettes to give it a military feel, the look was styled with a white shirt and brown Valentino loafers. He is giving a very strong Jude Law vibe here.

Jay Z: The rapper, who joined his Atelier-Versace-clad wife on their joint ‘On The Run’ tour yesterday evening, wore a custom Rodarte black, charcoal and white ’99 Problems’ jersey with black cargo pants and a lot of bling.

Mark Wahlberg: The ‘Transformers’ actor joined his co-stars Nicola Peltz and Li Bingbing on the red carpet for the New York premiere last night wearing another Giorgio Armani suit, which fared much better, fit-wise, than his last outing.

Menswear Midweek Roundup

Menswear Midweek Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Chris Pine: The new face of the bestselling fragrance Armani Code was a front row guest at Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2015 menswear show during Milan Fashion week on Tuesday (June 24). The handsome actor was of course wearing a Giorgio Armani suit. The finely textured navy notched-lapel suit was styled with a crisp white unbuttoned shirt with contrasting blue loafers. The only thing to improve this look, in my eyes, would be just a bit of product in his hair, or a haircut.

Zach Braff: The actor joined co-star Ashley Greene on the red carpet for the ‘Wish I Was Here’ LA premiere. He wore a Dior Homme grey wool micro-check slim lapel three-piece suit, burgundy cotton shirt, navy silk tie and black calfskin leather derbies. I’m not loving the colour combination here. I would start with losing the fall-hued shirt and tie in favour of lighter shades.

Jim Parsons: Opting for colour which wasn’t so Fall-like, the best thing about this look for me was Jim’s tie.
