Variety Power Of Women New York Luncheon

Variety Power Of Women New York Luncheon

A host of lovely ladies took to the red carpet for the Variety Power Of Women: New York luncheon held at Cipriani 42nd Street today (April 25) in New York City.

Sarah Jessica Parker: The actress wore a dress from her favourite designer: Giles, donning a strapless pink, mauve and black bat-print frock styled with an Alice+ Olivia embroidered Victorian top and SJP ‘Fawn’ pumps.

Iman: Looking as beautiful and statuesque as ever, the supermodel donned a Michael Kors pleated nutmeg dress from the Spring 2014 collection accented with a snakeskin belt. The dress was styled with a Michael Kors ‘Miranda’ clutch in a matching hue and chocolate open-toe sandals. You may remember that Heidi Klum wore this same dress earlier this year.

Claire Danes: Looking pretty in hot-pink Claire wore an Oscar de la Renta dress with a bubble hem styled with nude sandals.

Leslie Mann In Giles – ‘The Other Woman’ London Premiere

Leslie Mann In Giles - 'The Other Woman' London PremiereLeslie Mann joined Kate Upton at the premiere of ‘The Other Woman,’ hosted tonight (April 2) at the Curzon Mayfair in London, England.

Whereas Kate was the epitome of old Hollywood elegance, Leslie painted her glam look with a bit of artsy mod flair, donning a Giles Fall 2014 frock.

The white design was punched through with an exploded branch-like pattern and complemented by a bib neckline of sparkling black paillettes.

A knotted low updo and a bright coral-orange lip completed this red-carpet outing, which was far more chicly impactful than her Amsterdam look. Would you agree?

Gwendoline Christie In Giles – ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 New York Premiere

Gwendoline Christie In Giles - ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 New York Premiere

Gwendoline Christie joined her co-stars on the red carpet for the ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 New York premiere held at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on Tuesday (March 18) in New York City.

At first I thought the statuesque beauty had bitten off more than she could chew with this Giles Fall 2014 ivory duchess-satin frock with a floral motif on the bodice and contrast black neckline, because I was initially unsure about the draped black satin detail from the hip, but actually it’s that detail which makes this look interesting.

Fierce kolh-rimmed eyes and black Louboutins completed her look.

Yay or nay on this unusual look?

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles – ‘city.ballet’ Series New York Premiere

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles & Saint Laurent - 'city ballet' Series New York Premiere

Sarah Jessica Parker posed on the red carpet of AOL On’s ‘city.ballet’ series premiere, for which she is the executive producer, at Tribeca Cinemas yesterday in New York City.

She put on quite the set of wide-ranging pieces, edging up her pastel-pink, high-low Giles Spring 2014 dress—which just so happened to match her lipstick—with a mega-studded, black leather Saint Laurent Resort 2014 jacket.

SJP only removed the jacket once inside the venue to reveal the sheer embroidered sleeves on her Giles dress.

Polka-dot tights and teal suede Manolo Blahnik pumps, alongside a blue-and-black, gold chain Freedom of Animals handbag and a vintage-look collar Fred Leighton necklace, made for a somewhat eclectic collection of bedfellows to accessorize her punk-funk look.

Perhaps she was hearkening back to her ‘Sex and the City’ days.

Do all the style pieces fit together, or do you find SJP’s entrance just plain puzzling?

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles – Lexus Design Disrupted Event

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles - Lexus Design Disrupted Event

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Lexus Design Disrupted event held at SIR Stage 37 in New York City yesterday.

Turning to a designer who is fast becoming her favourite – Giles Deacon – she selected a georgette tunic dress with a trapeze silhouette with a studded neckline and bracelet-length sleeves from his Fall 2013 collection, which she wore without the white blouse the dress was styled with on the runway.

Further simplifying the look, she wore black Gianvito Rossi pumps and Fred Leighton jewels, styling her wavy tresses into a side-swiped low-slung ponytail.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Giles – 2013 Met Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker

We knew we could count on fashion-girl Sarah Jessica Parker to fully embody the ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ theme of the 2013 Met Gala in New York City on Monday.

Making one of the most grand and unforgettable entrances of the evening, SJP’s look was head-and-shoulders above the rest—literally.

She donned a paint-splattered, gold-leaf gown from the Giles Fall 2013 collection, but she added far more theatrics to the abstract-printed runway look with a custom Philip Treacy headpiece.

Rather than coax her hair into a mohawk, she crowned her locks with this radical fascinator and, in so doing, cemented her status as the punk-belle of the ball.

With the voluminous, high-low cut of the dress, her very-visible, over-the-knee Christian Louboutin velvet boots would have been a talking point, if it weren’t for that ‘hawk.

The same goes for her Fred Leighton jewels. No amount of sparkle could compete with the glinting gold of that hat or the gown.

Whew! Did SJP blow you away with her ferocious, no-holds-barred look?
