Red Carpet Fashion Awards

My reaction to Julianna Margulies on the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening was simply, ‘WOW’.

I can’t believe this is the same woman who would only either wear just black or just Narciso Rodriguez in black on the red carpet.

On this occasion she was regal and radiant wearing a Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 Couture gown.

Her beautiful floral strapless gown was styled with Fred Leighton jewels and eggplant Brian Atwood ‘Karin’ platform sandals.

Picking a best dressed from this event is going to be near impossible.

Leighton Meester hit the red carpet at the Tribeca Screening Room in New York City, for the screening of her new movie ‘The Oranges’ yesterday evening with co-star Huge Laurie.

I was starting to worry that Leighton has lost her mojo when it came to her footwear, so I was relieved to see her wearing a pair of Jerome C. Rousseau leopard print pumps with her Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 dress.

As you know, I’m not one to get excited about an LBD, but I love the beautiful chiffon detail draped from the waist plus the addition of the gold waistband makes this look interesting.

Sultry waves, a black clutch, gold earrings and barely-there makeup completed her look.

Amy Adams walked the red carpet for a screening of her film ‘The Master’ at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City on Tuesday.

For the event, Amy chose to wear a Giambattista Valli Resort 2013 dress.

The actress really had been playing it safe lately, so this animal-print look is a bold step out of her comfort-zone.

I prefer the close up to the long-shot as I’m not crazy about the black skirt.

Strawberry-blonde curls, Brian Atwood ‘Hamper’ pumps and a natural makeup complete her look.

Amy Adams’ dress literally sparkled on the red carpet at the 9th annual Style Awards at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night.

The actress (who wore a gorgeous plum Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture cocktail dress), however, looked a little less happy to be there.

Nevertheless, the dress fit her perfectly I particularly love the neckline and flared skirt and the simple VBH clutch and black pumps added a classic, yet understated, touch.

Slicked back hair and an apricot lip completed the look.

It’s not often we see Kristin Scott Thomas stepping out of her favoured colour palette of black, navy and grey, but she surprised us on Saturday night.

The British actress took to the red carpet at the 2012 Venice Film Festival wearing a Giambattista Valli Resort 2013 silk paisley print skirt and top for the ‘Cherchez Hortense’ premiere.

With her hair swept up into a chic updo, she added a rich red lip colour and a selection of breathtaking jewels including two-tone statement earrings.

A gold sparkling Christian Louboutin Maykimay clutch completed her look.

Do you love this new look from Kristin, or do you prefer her more classic style?

Michelle Jenner attended the ‘Las Aventuras de Tadeo Jones’ premiere in Madrid, Spain, yesterday evening.

The Spanish beauty wore one of the beautiful dresses from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 collection.

The full-length pleated look with metallic and floral panels was perfectly coordinated with a yellow Diane Von Furstenberg clutch and Chanel statement jewels.

I’m not crazy about her hairstyle, but I’m grateful for a sunshine yellow, matchy-matchy summery look on the red carpet right now considering so many celebs are no longer selecting spring pieces.
