Olivia Palermo In Giambattista Valli – “Henry’s Crime” New York Screening

Olivia Palermo attended The Cinema Society screening of “Henry’s Crime” at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema in New York City yesterday.

She’s the first celebrity to wear a look from the Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 collection, which was one of my favourites of the season.

Her gorgeous dress has 4 elements; a white sleeveless top with a black bejewelled waistband and red fur trim plus a printed skirt.

We’re often saying that celebrities should step out of their comfort-zone and do something different, and it looks like Olivia took our advice yesterday.

She arrived at this event sporting a puffy bouffant which instantly reminded me of Simba from ‘The Lion King.’

Nice try Olivia, but with so much detail on your lovely dress a sleeker, less fussy hairstyle would’ve worked better with your look on this occasion.

Jimmy Choo ‘Feline’ sandals and a black clutch completed her look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Jamie Chung in Giambattista Valli

For the 6th week in a row we’ve agreed on who is the BDOTW – I think this must be a record.

Even though we believed that Jamie Chung wore the wrong shoes with her mind blowing yellow Giambattista Valli strapless dress, she was still a worthy winner.

Her glamorous look was perfected with sexy loose waves, bright red lips, Loree Rodkin jewels and a metallic Judith Lieber clutch.

Christine Baranski was my runner up.

Jamie Chung In Giambattista Valli – “Sucker Punch” LA Premiere

I love Jamie Chung. The first time I ever featured her she blew me away so much I gave her BDOTW.

She wowed me again last night at the “Sucker Punch” LA Premiere.

I will love her for life for wearing one of my favourite looks from the Giambattista Valli strapless draped mousseline dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

The yellow dress has a taupe panel which drapes from the waist and a sexy thigh-high split.

She teamed her look with Loree Rodkin chandelier earrings, a Loree Rodkin Peacock feather ring, a silver Judith Leiber “Op Art” embossed leather minaudière and nude Ruthie Davis pumps.

I wish she opted for strappy heels.

Thick brunette waves draped over one shoulder and red lippie completed her look.

Giambattista Valli Fall 2011

The Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 collection started quietly but ended very dramatically.

The first few looks got me thinking that the designer was opting for a more minimalist approach to Fall, as we saw simple grey looks with just a few embellished details around the neckline.

Then the presentation picked up pace rather quickly as the next few looks hit the runway with more colour, texture, volume and structure.

Valli presented his signature cocoon shaped coats and dresses which would’ve delighted his socialite fans in the front row.

Shift dresses, shaggy furs, floral print coats, leggy pants, ruffled dresses, peplum skirts and drop-waist dresses hit the runway.

I loved the models hair which was a skewed half-up half-down ponytail.

Pops of yellow, red, hot pink and gold stood alongside the mostly black, white and grey collection.

The shoes varied from spiked brogues, to booties and pointy ankle boots.

I was expecting a dramatic finish and the designer didn’t let me down.

He ended his presentation with two stunning gowns with long trains. The red dress was spectacular. I’ve never seen anything move so beautifully down the runway.

Can’t you just picture this dress on the red carpet at the Met Gala?

Kate Beckinsale will be going gaga for this dress. It’s so her as she loves a long train.

This was a very charming and sophisticated collection which will appeal to a wide range for women from those who lunch to the downtown chick who will love the shaggy furs. Kate Lanphear would look great wearing on of those furs.

Front Row: Elettra Rosselini, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Kate Lanphear, Leigh Lezark, Caroline Siebe

Favourites: Red finale gown and white coccon dress with black floral embellishements

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Kate Beckinsale, Olivia Palermo, Victoria Beckham, Diane Kruger, Leighton Meester, Melanie Laurent, Zoe Saldana and Fan Bing Bing

Jessica Alba In Giambattista Valli – NEA’s Read Across America Kickoff with First Lady Obama

Jessica Alba attended NEA’s Read Across America Kickoff with First Lady Obama at The Library of Congress on in Washington, DC. yesterday.

She opted for a chic sophiscated look wearing a Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 shift dress.

The actress read Dr. Seuss’ to elementary school students during a kickoff event wearing her floral print pocketed dress with tights and black shoes.

I love that this look is event appropriate without being neither too formal nor too conservative.

Paz Vega In Giambattista Valli – Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscar Viewing Party

There was yet another white dress worn on the red carpet at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s Oscar Viewing Party in West Hollywood, California last night.

Spanish actress Paz Vega was oozing sexy sophistication wearing a white Giambattista Valli Resort 2011 ensemble.

The look included a white sleeveless keyhole detail top with a tie to the waist, paired with a full length ruffled skirt.

Vhernier jewels and a Ferragamo silver metal minaudière complete this white hot look.

Annette Bening In Giambattista Valli – “The Jay Leno Show”

Annette Bening recently appeared on the “The Jay Leno Show” which is taped in LA.

She talked to the host about Newsweek cover, faking while acting in sex scenes and her new movie “The Kids Are Alright.”

She looked beautiful in her Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2011 dress colour block dress.

It’s very event appropriate, especially as she opted for the black and leopard print version.

This look is both modern, yet classic at the same time which is why is suits Annette so well.

I’m picturing nude peep-toes.

What type of shoes do you think Annette paired with her look?
