Best Dressed Of The Week – Pace Wu In Valentino & Giambattista Valli & Adrien Brody In Margiela

Pace Wu BDOTW

Pace Wu was undoubtedly the best dressed of last week, but we picked two different looks.

You fell in love with her romantic Valentino lace gown, while her Giambattista Valli ensemble with its impeccable styling caught my eye.

Despite my love for three-piece suits, I picked Adrien Brody in Margiela over Leonardo DiCaprio in Tom Ford for my best dressed male. A choice which you also shared.

Pace Wu’s Fall 2013 Paris Fashion Week

Pace Wu PFW1

She did it again: Pace Wu was the Queen of Paris Fashion Week. This time she took in twelve shows giving twelve amazing front row looks.

Long may she reign.

Carven: She started off her fashionable week last Thursday at the Carven Fall 2013 presentation dressed in a summery organza cut-out embroidered dress from the Spring 2013 collection. Giving the pretty frock an edge, she styled the look with an interesting black clutch, which mimics the design on her dress, and open-toe lace booties.

Lanvin: Even though she looks divine, this chartreuse asymmetrical mini dress with a black bow on the shoulder from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with the same Lanvin ‘Arpege’ minaudiere the model carried on the runway, was my least favourite, as I’m not so crazy about the colour.

Viktor & Rolf: I adore this chic blue satin gown with a bow accent from the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2013 collection, but I wish she hadn’t opted for the white blazer as I’m curious to see the whole look, which differed from the gown which took to the runway. She styled her look with her favourite Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ ankle-strap platform peep-toes and a pink clutch.

Audrey Tautou In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Populaire’ New York Premiere

Audrey Tautou In Giambattista Valli Couture - 'Populaire' New York Premiere

Audrey Tautou made a welcome return to the red carpet at the Paris Theatre in New York City last night for the ‘Populaire’ premiere.

Known for wearing Chanel, the French actress wore a Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture gown on this occasion.

Her black macramé lace gown was tea-length on the leggy model, whereas it just hits the floor on the petite actress.

I love the simple, elegant styling of this look. Just a black clutch, rosy cheeks and a bronze lip colour completed her look.

Kate Bosworth In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Kate Bosworth In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2013 Vanity Fair Party Showing she’s not afraid to flaunt her pins amid a packed room of long Oscars gowns, Kate Bosworth joined the A-list who attended the 2013 Vanity Fair Party, hosted on Sunday night at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

Like her fellow fashion risk-taker Diane Kruger, she wore a Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture creation.

Up close, the medieval rose design and silver tinsel embroidery was intricate and enchanting. It also lent a nymph-like quality to this flora-filled design.

While the frock fell a bit longer on Kate than the model, the actress still cut it pretty short in the precious, baby-doll silhouette.

Silver Casadei heels and a bright fuchsia-pink lip colour rounded out this look. The braided updo trend, which we saw so much of earlier this awards season, also made a comeback here.

Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Never one to shy away from taking a fashion risk or two on the red carpet, Diane Kruger opted for a very unique look at the 2013 Vanity Fair Party, held at Sunset Tower on Sunday evening.

The German actress wore a Giambattisa Valli Spring 2013 Couture dress.

Her caped long-sleeve white dress with black velvet beading and asymmetrical hemline is yet another tricky look which Diane pulls off with ease.

Keeping her look simple she styled her hair in a center parted bun with a neutral makeup.

Faberge jewels, Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ white pumps with a black trim and Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit gold and black metal clutch accessorized her look.

Was this an fashion-forward risk that paid off, or does this look not work for you?
