Zhang Ziyi In Mikael D & Georges Hobeika - 'Lucky Star' Press Conference & Premiere

Zhang Ziyi wore two looks for both the press conference and premiere of her latest movie, ‘Lucky Star’, with only one look being a success in my eyes.

Press Conference: Her first look was a Mikael D Resort 2014 graphic-print dress with a cascade front which, with the right styling, could’ve been an interesting look. Tumbling curls and conservative pumps don’t really complement the edgy design.

Premiere: It was back to tried and true for the premiere, where the actress shone wearing a Georges Hobeika Fall 2013 Couture yellow strapless cocktail dress embroidered with delicate bows, flower-shaped paillettes and Swarovski crystals. If I was to be overly fussy I would say lose the necklace, but the shoes and hair work on this occasion as both complement her pretty frock.

Sarah Paulson In Georges Hobeika Couture - '12 Years A Slave' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Sarah Paulson joined her co-star Lupita Nyong’o on the red carpet at the Princess of Wales Theatre for the ’12 Years A Slave’ Toronto International Film Festival premiere in Canada on Friday evening.

The actress wore an exquisite Georges Hobeika Fall 2013 Couture gown, our first look at this collection on the red carpet.

Her rose-beige, strapless guipure lace-and-tulle tea-length dress was styled with a matching rose-beige clutch plus rose-gold metallic Oscar Tiye pumps and lavender drop earrings which adds some vitality to the look and prevent it from feeling too one-note.

Simple makeup and side parted sleek tresses provided the finishing touches to her look.

Jing Tian In Georges Hobeika Couture - 16th Shanghai Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Following her BDOTW win 2 weeks ago, Jing Tian was back out on the red carpet for the closing ceremony of the 16th Shanghai Film Festival on Sunday evening.

The beautiful actress wore another Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 Couture gown.

On this occasion, she selected a gorgeous gown in a nude-rose organza featuring a delicately embroidered lace top.

This look is just as pretty, but has more simplicity than her dramatic opener.

BDOTW 17 Jun

Jing Tian’s Georges Hobeika Couture gown, which she wore to the Shanghai Film Festival opening ceremony this weekend, blew us all away; taking home the prize of best dressed this week.

When it came to the fellas you picked Zachary Levi donning a Reiss suit. Whereas I selected Jake Gyllenhaal who swept me off my feet looking very handsome wearing a classic tux.

Jing Tian In Georges Hobeika Couture - 2013 Shanghai Film Festival Opening Ceremony

You can always expect a jaw-dropping moment from the Shanghai Film Festival. On Saturday evening that moment came from Jing Tian, who arrived on the red carpet for the opening ceremony at Shanghai Culture Square in China with Donnie Yen.

Looking every inch a modern princess, she stunned wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 Couture white ball gown featuring a delicate embroidered lace top and a breathtaking floral print organza skirt.

You know I can’t resist a princess moment like this, so even though this moment would’ve been perfected with an updo, this is still a BDOTW contender in my eyes.

Darby Stanchfield In Georges Hobeika - 53rd Monte Carlo TV Festival Closing Ceremony

Joshua Malina and Darby Stanchfield, stars of the hit TV show ‘Scandal’, attended the closing ceremony of the 53rd Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco on Thursday evening.

Adding a high dose of glamour to the proceedings, Darby looked stunning wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 gown.

Her golden sparkler, featuring a scooped neckline and a gorgeous train, was styled with a gold clutch and triple-drop earrings, with her beautiful flame-coloured wavy locks swept over one shoulder.

A BDOTW-worthy contender if I ever saw one.

'Fruitvale Station' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The ‘Fruitvale Station’ premiere took place during Cannes Film Festival this evening following the photocall earlier today.

Octavia Spencer: As expected, the actress wore a Tadashi Shoji custom gown. We’ve seen the actress don many gowns in shade of cream, lavender, black and blue, but never a fiery hue like this red tulle-and-lace draped cape sleeve gown. The colour is so striking and the style so very flattering.

Ahna O’Reilly: The actress selected an ivory fully sequined Elie Saab one-sleeve gown with cut-outs at the waist.

Melonie Diaz: Like Octavia, Melonie also opted for a bold colour wearing an Emilio Pucci sea-blue chiffon gown accented with a black beaded belt and styled with silver jewels. Once again she worked a bold lip colour.
