2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night

Alongside Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing and Shu Qi, there were many other stars who attended the 2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night held at China World Summit Wing in Beijing, China yesterday evening.

You weren’t too enamored with the aforementioned starlets, so how do this lot fare?

Bai Baihe: The Chinese actress kept things very simple wearing a red silk satin Valentino Fall 2013 long sleeved portrait neckline gown styled with a clear Valentino clutch and – what appears to be -  no makeup. If I was to put one person from this event through to BDOTW, she would be my pick.

Gao Yuanyuan: Opting for a more futuristic look, the Chinese actress wore a Burberry Prorsum LBD with striking geometric metal straps from the Fall 2013 collection.  She styled her frock with a Bulgari clutch – which was perfectly in tune with the vibe of her dress – and simple black pumps.

Sui He: The Chinese model looked very beautiful and statuesque wearing a Marios Schwab Fall 2013 dark-green velvet gown with a gold accent at the empire-waist. The gown appears to be off-the-shoulder, however, it features an illusion yoke only noticeable by the neckline. While I am not a fan of how she accessorized the look, I do love the gown, and both her hair and makeup.

Darby Stanchfield & Katie Lowes 'Scandal' Season 3 Premiere

Darby Stanchfield and Katie Lowes joined Kerry Washington at the recent ‘Scandal’ Season 3 premiere at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, where their red-carpet entrances couldn’t have been more different.

Darby Stanchfield: The actress donned a Georges Hobeika gown with a grey embellished bodice and off-white chiffon skirt. But even her auburn waves and radiant blush-toned makeup, I was sensing a drabness here, although it was expounded with her distracting, oversized white clutch.

Katie Lowes: Skipping the gown and going straight to the cocktail frock, Katie wore a strapless red Rachel Roy design with gold jewellery and silvery Jean-Michel Cazabat shoes, which was too many mixed metals for my taste. A magenta lip added even more contrasting colours.

With Kerry’s Prada prairie dress added to the lineup of these two ladies’ rather lacklustre looks, this premiere was definitely trending on the fashionably eclectic side. Perhaps it was more of a style scandal than anything else. Do you agree?

Working that signature bold lip, Holland Roden attended Entertainment Weekly’s Pre-Emmy Party held at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in West Hollywood, California on Friday evening.

The ‘Teen Wolf’ actress wore a sexy Georges Chakra Fall 2012 Couture black sequin tulle dress featuring a feather-accented bust to add more drama to her stunning appearance.

With her red hair tied up into a chic top knot, she completed her look with Stuart Weitzman ankle strap pumps.

Katharine McPhee In Georges Hobeika Couture - 2013 Creative Emmy Awards

Katharine McPhee took to the red carpet yesterday evening at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California for the 2013 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

The beautiful ‘Smash’ actress looked radiant wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 Couture powder pink gown, featuring a lace, sleeveless top exquisitely embroidered with white flower motifs adorned by silver and pink pearls and Swarovski crystals.

Norman Silverman ear cuffs added an unexpected edge to her look, yet they didn’t detract from all the sophistication of her gorgeous look.

Wavy brunette locks and a bright red lip shade provided the finishing touches to Katharine’s look.

Zhang Ziyi In Mikael D & Georges Hobeika - 'Lucky Star' Press Conference & Premiere

Zhang Ziyi wore two looks for both the press conference and premiere of her latest movie, ‘Lucky Star’, with only one look being a success in my eyes.

Press Conference: Her first look was a Mikael D Resort 2014 graphic-print dress with a cascade front which, with the right styling, could’ve been an interesting look. Tumbling curls and conservative pumps don’t really complement the edgy design.

Premiere: It was back to tried and true for the premiere, where the actress shone wearing a Georges Hobeika Fall 2013 Couture yellow strapless cocktail dress embroidered with delicate bows, flower-shaped paillettes and Swarovski crystals. If I was to be overly fussy I would say lose the necklace, but the shoes and hair work on this occasion as both complement her pretty frock.
