Rym Saidi weds Wissam Breidy in Georges Hobeika Couture

Tunisian top model Rym Saidi and Wissam Breidy celebrated their wedding reception on Friday (September 1).

For the fairytale occasion, Rym wore a breathtaking Georges Hobeika Couture bridal gown inspired by Andalusian nights and palatial celebrations.

The custom designed was crafted to reflect the elegance and romantic expression of Rym’s character and strength.

Designed in a mermaid silhouette gown, reminiscent of Georges Hobeika’s Fall 2017 Couture collection, which featured an extravagant hooded cape embroidered with crystals, multi-colored beads and silk organza flowers, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything more captivating.

Platino Awards 2017

The Platino Awards 2017 were held on Saturday (July 22) in Madrid, Spain with a number of stars putting forth their glamorous side for Ibero-America’s annual film awards.

Mar Saura: Adding a gilded touch to her glamorous approach, Mar was striking in a Georges Hobeika fit-and-flare gown with golden embellishment. I love how her simple, complementary styling prevented any possibility of an overcooked look, keeping the dress on the right side of sophistication.

Juana Acosta: With a look that prioritized sharp elegance, Juana wore a Michael Kors Collection black gown for an asymmetrical look that left me with mixed feelings on the singular sling sleeve.

Sonia Balaco: Between the feathered plumage and the thigh-bearing, bow-bearing cutouts, there was a lot to take in with this Diogo Miranda Fall 2017 frock, so I’m glad she kept the accessories on the more minimal side with Monseo jewels, a Louis Vuitton clutch, and Christian Louboutin sandals. I will always struggle to find the flattering side of a gaping cutout placed at the high hip, though.

‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

More fashionable femmes—specifically, the model set—were out in force for ‘The Beguiled’ Cannes Film Festival premiere on Wednesday (May 24).

Cindy Bruna
: The French model stunned in a Georges Hobeika Couture petal-pink gown enlightened with allover glimmering embellishment. While the top was rather sheer, I was still taken by the gorgeous swoop of the undulating train, with Cindy of course striking the ultimate pose to breathe additional life into the dress.

Jasmine Tookes
: Subtly shaded in lavender, this Georges Chakra Spring 2017 Couture gown maintained the epitome of classic sophistication. I love the one-shoulder silhouette’s fresh, modern edge that was primarily imbued by the wrapped panels. Jimmy Choo heels and Boucheron jewels completed the effect that may have been on the more minimal side for Cannes but still made a mighty impact.

‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The premiere of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ on Sunday (May 21) brought a number of other stars to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Clotilde Courau: Clotilde brought a gilded touch to the proceedings with her embroidered Georges Hobeika gown. Just don’t look too closely at the nude illusion components that provided a slightly distracting tint to the majestic gold filigree look.

Barbara Meier: Electric blue will always be one of my favourite colours, especially with the fiery red locks of Barbara’s. So, I’m not sure why I wasn’t completely in awe of this Alexis Mabille Couture look. I blame the stiff, structured silhouette of the off-the-shoulder bodice that seemed a bit awkward.

Laetitia Casta: The slashed-to-there look comes back yet again in this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 gown, and in case you had any chance of missing the thigh-high slit, this one’s embellished in crystals. It’s nothing revolutionary for Cannes, but a sleek bun would have been in order to better highlight her gorgeous earrings.

Coco Rocha In Georges Hobeika Couture – ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Coco Rocha also embraced a pink streak at the premiere of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 21).

For the statuesque supermodel, this Georges Hobeika Spring 2017 Couture gown was her ode to princess-inspired dressing—with a slit-to-there twist.

From the cotton-candy pink colour to the cascade of ruffles and swirls of embellishment, there was much youthful fancy and fairy-tale dreaming in this dress.

Coco even braided her short locks to complete the effect, with Boucheron jewels finishing the look.
