Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Fergie looked sensational as she arrived at The Clinton Foundation’s ‘A Decade Of Difference’ Gala in LA with hubby Josh Duhamel on Friday night.

The Black Eyed Peas singer struck a pose on the red carpet wearing a Georges Chakra Spring 2011 Couture dress.

She looked chic wearing this navy blue and white one-shoulder dress with an asymmetrical pleated organza bust and geometric embroidered skirt.

Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Strass’ pumps and a matching Hervé Léger by Max Azria clutch perfectly accessorized her look.

A top knot and pink lip gloss provided the finishing touches.

During Paris Fashion Week I also attended the Georges Chakra Fall 2011 Couture presentation.

The designer showcased a typically high octane over the top collection which attracts celebrity clients such as Queen Latifah, Kelly Rowland, Li Bing Bing and Michelle Trachtenberg.

As expected we saw many fall like colours such as black, chocolate brown, bronze, rich reds and purples, but the sparks came via some bright colours such as tangerine and fuchsia pink.

There was so much variety in this collection from the pleated off-the-shoulder gown with the gold tone cummerbund, a sequined jumpsuit with a pale blue train, a red sequin dress with laser cut-outs and of course the wedding gown which was very different in style to the usual ballgowns.

I really liked the makeup. Gold and purple eyeshadow with rouge lips really popped against the pale skins of the model.

Their hair was pulled up into a tight bun with a single purple floral accent.

Favourites: The finale gown and the purple frou frou gown

Who I See Wearing This Collection: The Country Girls; Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Hillary Scott, and Carrie Underwood plus Katy Perry, Queen Latifah, Emily Blunt, Selena Gomez

Most Predictable Award
Every time I see Nina Dobrev on the red carpet my reaction is, “Next” as I find her style and red carpet choices so dated and boring.

I featured her on this occasion to highlight the point and to prevent the inevitable question, “Why didn’t you feature Nina Dobrev?”

At the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards she wore Georges Chakra Fall 2010 Couture dress.

Unfortunately the Vampire Diaries’ actress doesn’t make the dress work for me.

By shortening the dress, it just becomes a long line in predictable mini dresses she’s already worn on the red carpet.

The iridescent emerald green strapless dress with an asymmetric bow was paired with Aldo shoes.

If the L’Oreal memo said ‘Big Couture Gown Night’, everyone got the message.

Li Bing Bing (no relation to Fan) wore a Georges Chakra Spring 2011 Couture gown on the red carpet for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “The Artist” Premiere this evening.

I always thought this gown had a Princess Leia vibe to it when I saw it presented back in January; so I find it adorable that the Asian actress styled her hair accordingly.

I love that she opted for this big gown, but didn’t pile it high with jewels as the gown sparkles plenty on its own.

She clearly didn’t travel all that way to go unnoticed or upstaged by the other stars on this red carpet, and I admire her for that.

Here are the rest of the looks from Good Housekeeping’s Shine On Event.

Christy Turlington: The model still looks like she did 20 years ago. She doesn’t appear to be aging. It must be the supermodel gene. Christy attended this event wearing a Louis Vuitton teal blue dress with a black boucle cropped jacket. Her chic look was teamed with black accessories.

Heather Graham: The blonde actress is a huge fan of L’Wren Scott, and who can blame her when it gives her a body like woah. The peach figure-hugging L’Wren Scott wool-blend dress was paired with matchy peachy pumps, fuchsia pink lips and a gold VBH clutch. BDOTW?

Eve: The singer wore a Jean Claude Jitrois white leather dress which she over accessorized with too much jewelery.

The Grammy Nominations Concert Live took place last night in LA with the attendance of celebrities who unveiled next year’s nominees.

Katy Perry was looking gorgeous wearing a Georges Chakra Fall 2010 Couture dress.

Her gold sequined off-the-shoulder dress was paired with nude Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps.

Katy loves Lebanese designers as much as I do, but I wish she’d shortened this dress so it was above the knee.

I’m not particularly excited by the pumps either, but they are quite anonymous allowing the dress to be the main focus of this look.

The nominations were announced live on CBS during an hour-long concert special hosted by LL Cool J from L.A.’s Club Nokia.

The Grammy’s will take place on February 13, 2011.

Carla Gugino walked the red carpet in LA last night for the premiere of her new movie, “Faster” which also stars Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock.”

She shimmered wearing a Georges Chakra Couture dress.

I’m a huge fan of Carla’s style and Georges designs, but this sparkling short silver lame dress with radiating bursts of rhinestones doesn’t quite work for me.

In order for me to like this dress it would have to be modified into a spaghetti strap dress and remove the yoke, but even then I think I may still struggle to like it.

Her hair and make-up are beautiful though.

Silver peep-toes and a matching clutch complete her look.
