Angelababy In Georges Chakra Couture – ‘Tai Chi O’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

On Friday evening, Angelababy hit the red carpet during the 2012 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her latest film, ‘Tai Chi O’.

I’ve loved her Elie Saab, and surprisingly loved her in Herve Leger, but that love doesn’t extend to this Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture gown.

This lime green shimmering beaded dress with peach and blue tulle accents and a chiffon train screams pageant queen to me.

As beautiful as she looks, there’s nothing I find appealing about this gown.

Christian Louboutin diamante peep-toes, which are two sizes too big for her, flowing raven locks, a silver serpent cuff and diamond encrusted drop earrings completed her look.

Mena Suvari In Georges Chakra Couture – 11th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree

Mena Suvari also attended the 11th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree last night, which was held at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

Even with the sassy attitude, the ‘American Pie’ actress can still pull off sweet cocktail dresses like this Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture frock.

I’m glad the white silk gazar dress with pleats and floral embroidered straps was modified from the runway version, which has a ‘here comes the bride’ feel to it with the train.

She joined a host of stars who carried an Edie Parker clutch to this event, hers was a silver confetti clutch, which would’ve been a lot less overwhelming had it been a tad smaller.

Like Ashley Madekwe, Mena opted for an interesting choice of footwear, selecting lilac ankle-strap peep-toes when silver or white would’ve been such an obvious choice.

Dana Rebecca Designs silver drop earrings, a sleek centre-parted hairstyle and cat-eyes completed her look.

Some of you were so keen on Ashley’s stand-out shoe choice, so I would be interested on your thoughts on Mena’s.

Michelle Jenner In Georges Chakra Couture – ‘Isabel’ Madrid Premiere

Michelle Jenner attended the premiere of her latest movie ‘Isabel’ in Madrid last night.

The actress wore a stunning Georges Chakra Fall 2009 Couture gown.

Her emerald-green fully sequined gown with a central split and following train with silver starburst embellishment is stunning.

I love the complementary green-and-gold Pinko clutch and the Jimmy Choo heels, but there is just one problem.

The guy standing next to her makes her appear as though she’s over-dressed for the event.

I wish she had been captured alone.

Gwen Stefani In Georges Chakra Couture – The Heart Foundation Gala

Apparently Thursday night was celebrity date night, as Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale also took to the red carpet last night.

They showed their support for the Heart Foundation Gala, which was held at the Hollywood Palladium in LA.

The singer looked stunning wearing a Georges Chakra Fall 2010 Couture dress.

Her black satin one-shoulder asymmetrical dress with sequin bands was styled with a signature red lip and a pink clutch for a pop of colour.

Black satin Louboutins and a quiffed updo completed her fabulous look.

I can’t wait to see her next week taking the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival.

Hopefully she has more Couture looks for us to marvel at.

Martina McBride In Georges Chakra – 2012 Academy Of Country Music Awards

One designer who is guaranteed to be showcased at any Country Music Awards ceremony is Georges Chakra.

On this occasion that honour went to Martina McBride, who was nominated for Female Vocalist Of The Year at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, held on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The brunette wore a summery look from the designer’s Spring 2011 Couture collection.

Her short white embroidered dress, enriched with coral stones, was teamed with simple nude pumps.

Swarovski blue crystal Hyacinth earrings, a pretty pink lip colour and a simple bun completed her look.
