Katherine Waterston In Gabriela Hearst – ‘Alien Covenant’ New York Screening

Katherine Waterston made her elegant appearance at Entertainment Weekly’s special screening of ‘Alien Covenant’ on Monday (May 15).

The actress, who seems to be systematically creating a signature look for herself, stepped out once again in a selection from Gabriela Hearst’s Fall 2017 collection.

Her deep royal velvet dress is a sophisticated take on the classic slip dress with its delicate embellishment and slight bias cut it has just the right amount of that special ingredient to keep it from being dull.

The darkly romantic mood of Gabriela Hearst’s recent collection is a perfect illustration of the Katherine Waterston aesthetic.

Katherine Waterston In Gabriela Hearst – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Katherine Waterston continued to promote her latest film, ‘Alien: Covenant’ on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ which aired on Tuesday (May 9).

I had to rub my eyes a few times to ensure they weren’t deceiving me, just to check that Katherine was wearing a colour other than black or white.

I was taken by how her forest green Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 dress combines simplicity with elegant sensuality.

Visually inviting with semi-sheer turtleneck, this double-layered look was considerably more successful than Rebecca Hall’s from the same collection.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

Emma Watson In Gabriela Hearst – ‘The Circle’ Press Tour

Emma Watson continued the press tour for ‘The Circle’ with a stop at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco on Friday (April 28).

I was completely floored by the stunning chicness of this monochromatic moment from the Gabriela Hearst Spring 2017 collection.

The independent designer is known for ethical values to be at the heart of the brand, but she is also a master in sleekly tailored sophistication as demonstrated with this look.

The bold red shade is a knockout on its own. But when applied to the subtle sultriness of an off-the-shoulder bodysuit and the effortless structure of flared trousers, the result is truly sublime.

Rebecca Hall In Gabriela Hearst – ‘The Dinner’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Rebecca Hall wore her second Gabriela Hearst dress in a row during the Tribeca Film Festival for ‘The Dinner’ premiere on Monday (April 24) in New York City.

I was very disappointed by this ivory Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 velvet look. This is not related to the season or the fabrication; more to do with how drab the look feels and how poorly it was styled.

The Monique Péan necklaces tried to save it, but with those black platform shoes, this look was doomed for failure.

Methinks the black version would’ve translated better on the red carpet.

Rebecca Hall In Gabriela Hearst – ‘Permission’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Rebecca Hall attended the premiere of ‘Permission’ during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday (April 22) in New York City.

Spring hasn’t quite sprung for the actress who donned a Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 forest-green frock, which demonstrated the designer’s penchant for tailored minimalism.

However, I much preferred the more modest—yet still sensuous—teardrop neckline than this wider version on her.

Wearing the tea-length dress as presented on the runway, with Gabriela Hearst flatforms, she stayed true to the original vision which put the look on quirkier ground rather than a sleeker offering.

A light dusting of Monique Péan jewels finished the ensemble.
