Naomi Watts In Fendi – ‘The Glass Castle’ New York Screening

Naomi Watts attended ‘The Glass Castle’ New York screening on Wednesday (August 9).

Opting to go back to the basics, the result of her Fend Fall 2017 satin look is pure modern elegance. I just wish the grooming of the blouse had been better.

Some might be disappointed that she didn’t go super glam for the occasion, but I think her choice of accessories – which included a Judith Leiber Couture clutch – and glossy red lips keeps this look interesting enough for a screening in New York.

Debra Messing In Fendi – ‘Will & Grace’ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

‘Will & Grace’ is back, and to kick off the first day of production on the revival series, only a ribbon-cutting ceremony complete with confetti cannons would do. On Wednesday (August 2) in LA, Debra Messing was joined by co-stars Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes for the festivities.

No better way to commemorate the day than with Debra’s exuberant, multi-colour Fendi Resort 2017 frock, the electric blue and petrol hues of which made her flame locks come even more alive.

The feminine, pleated silhouette was also lovely on the actress.

The shoes wouldn’t have been my first choice, as they were rather clunky and seemed almost too big on her. But I suppose their style did echo some of the retro allure presented in the frock.

amfAR Paris Dinner 2017

The amfAR Paris Dinner was hosted at the Grand Palais on Sunday (July 2), and it certainly served up an eclectic array of looks.

Cindy Bruna: Statuesque and striking, the French model was a study in sleek simplicity in a Dsquared2 gown that looked to sharp tailoring and a mode of Le Smoking sensibility for inspiration. I love how the belted waist fully celebrated the structured sophistication with de Grisogono jewels adding a touch of sparkle.

Noemie Lenoir: Alternatively, there was no place for minimalism in this French model-actress’s Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2016 Couture ensemble. I was delighted to see this look stripped down from its original runway presentation, as the glittery sequin split tunic top and foliage-embossed pants were plenty decorative enough.

Sarah Snyder: Creating her own sexy, mod superheroine vibe out of this Fendi Pre-Fall 2017 high-low dress, Sarah styled the frock with what can only be called fierce Fendi over-the-knee boots that did reflect the red textural fabric on the underside of the skirt. Or, should we call it a cape.

Tommy Dorfman FROW at Spring 2018 Menswear Fashion Week

Tommy Dorfman has been a noticeable fixture on the front row at Spring 2018 Menswear Fashion Week in Milan and Paris, attending a trio of shows where the young actor looked as if he could have stepped straight from the runway himself.

Fendi show: At Fendi, he paid homage to the brand with a schoolboy-meets-sporty edge. Successfully wearing this mauve zipper sweater, emblazoned with racing stripes, alongside army-green pinstripe trousers was no small feat. But, he does so incredibly seamlessly. I love the additional quirk of the ‘Green’ knapsack, with athletic shoes rounding out the look.

Cerruti show: Letting his shirt do the talking at Cerruti on Friday (June 23), this tee-and-shorts number got a style-forward upgrade with the statement printed backpack and flatform footwear that made menswear sandals seem quite alright—good, even.

Balmain show: Adding knee-high socks to a pair of quilted, buckle sandals, Tommy continued to push the directional envelope at Balmain the next day, Saturday (June 24). Of course, it was his hyper-embellished, studded and mesh tunic dress that commanded much of the attention. Yet, he wore it with a spirit of easy nonchalance.
