Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet Red Carpet Roundup

Elisabeth Moss wasn’t the only one in attendance at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Wednesday (August 2) in Beverly Hills, California, as more stars joined her on the red carpet.

Jenny Slate: Jenny has had an amazing run lately, so I had high expectations for this outing. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed a bit with her presentation of this Etro outfit that was styled with metallic Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope Pearl’ heels and Ileana Makri jewels. The top half was reminiscent of a bathrobe with her bra peeking through, and it seemed a clunky pairing to the diagonal stripes in the skirt below. Her bedhead hair and makeup also seemed to be mere afterthought.

Alison Brie: Alison’s fringed, metallic Thai Nguyen Atelier Pre-Fall 2017 dress presented as far more polished effect with plenty of sultry, modern flapper appeal. Eva Fehren jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels completed the look.

Aja Naomi King: There was nothing so significant about the silhouette of this effortless, boho-flowy Reformation dress, but its sunny, yellow colour was positively radiant on Aja.

Entertainment Weekly Hosts Its Annual Comic-Con Party

Along with Candice Patton, Dania Ramirez, and Tessa Thompson, there were many more starlets in attendance to celebrate as Entertainment Weekly hosted Its annual Comic-Con 2017 party on Saturday (July 22) in San Diego, California.

Willa Holland: Silky, satiny materials can be a challenge to wear on the red carpet, and some of those issues with creasing and sheen were seen in this Giorgio Armani suit. Willa styled the silvery, tuxedo-inspired look with Beladora jewels and a sexy pair of Malone Souliers ‘Robyn’ pumps.

Nathalie Emmanuel: With a strong, black-and-white graphic punch, Nathalie would not be missed in this Etro Spring 2017 wrap dress that she styled with a multi-colour belt for added impact.

Phoebe Tonkin: I actually loved seeing this Gucci Fall 2017 studded, leather mini stripped of its over-the-top runway styling. What remained was a precious, girly floral frock with plenty of edge, too.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Etro – InStyle EE Rising Star Party

‘Split’ actress Anya Taylor-Joy showed another side to her style personality at the InStyle EE Rising Star Party in London on Wednesday (February 1).

Joining Kate Bosworth at the event, the up-and-coming starlet wore a more dramatic version of feminine florals in this Etro Fall 2016 metallic lace frock.

Making the dress her own while looking towards spring, she styled it sans outerwear and with cherry blossom-hued makeup. Normally I wouldn’t have preferred such a blocky, ankle-strap shoe, but these worked on this occasion.

Teresa Palmer In Etro – The IMDb Studio At The 2017 Sundance Film Festival

Teresa Palmer was at the IMDb Studio during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on Friday (January 20).

Likely in an effort to make her Etro Fall 2016 paisley tapestry dress more suitable for the winter temperatures, the ‘Berlin Syndrome’ actress covered up completely with a Wolford black Colorado turtleneck body and Wolford black tights.

With black booties rounding out the look, would you have liked Teresa to have taken inspiration from the runway? As it may have presented a more flattering and edgy silhouette while still being weather appropriate.

Sarah Paulson In Etro – ‘Carol’ New York Premiere

Sarah Paulson In Etro - 'Carol' New York Premiere

Sarah Paulson was also at the ‘Carol’ premiere, alongside Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, hosted at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City on Monday (November 16).

Dressed in an Etro Fall 2015 look, the actress beautifully managed the measured maximalism of the textural, metallic tapestry of the gown.

The overall mood was luxe boho, which she completed with her recent signature side-swept wavy ’do.
