Kate Bosworth’s 2015 Coachella Music Festival Style

Kate Bosworth's 2015 Coachella Style

Kate Bosworth has long been the queen of Coachella, leading the way when it comes to boho dressing, but for this years festival I felt like she has evolved, passed the denim shorts and fringe hobo bags to a style that had more finesse and more polish.

Some might argue that isn’t what Coachella is about, but I’m totally enamoured by both looks.

Coach Backstage Party: Wearing all white save for her tan sandals, I like how her lace up white Equipment ‘Knox’ shirt gives a slight ’70s folklore vibe to her modern look.

The Empire Polo Club: This was my favourite look of the two, as I love the styling of her white Kempner ‘Barbell’ T-Shirt dress with the Navajo inspired Etro jacket, self-designed western-inspired studded boots and Coach ‘Rivets Dakotah’ bag from the previous look.

In interviews, Kate claims that her Coachella looks were thrown together last minute, but I think it’s clear a lot of time, effort and planning went into these looks. Not that that’s a bad thing.

Leighton Meester In Etro – Los Angeles Opening Of ‘Like Sunday, Like Rain’

Leighton Meester In Etro - Los Angeles Opening Of 'Like Sunday, Like Rain'

Leighton Meester attended the opening of ‘Like Sunday, Like Rain’ held at Laemmle’s Town Center 5 on Wednesday (March 18) in Encino, California.

The actress wore an Etro white crop top with chain metal detail and gold shimmering printed trousers which is steeped with the brand’s iconic 70s inspired boho-luxe aesthetic.

I love how the look balances feminine sophistication with a casual vibe. Less was more in this case.

Styled with an Emm Kuo clutch, you no longer need to mourn the loss of her shoe game, as she completed her look with a pair of strappy thonged Christian Louboutin sandals.

Mark Ronson In Etro – Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute Honouring Martin Bandier

Mark Ronson In Etro - Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute Honouring Martin Bandier

Mark Ronson and Josephine de La Baume attended the Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute To Industry Icons honouring Martin Bandier on Saturday (February 7) in Los Angeles, California.

Even with the bright yellow hue Josephine wore, there was no upstaging Mark who spun classic menswear on its head wearing a traditional style of suit punctuated with an Etro Fall 2013 velvet paisley double-breasted jacket.

It’s a hard look to pull off; I think even the experimental David Oyelowo may shy away from this look, but Mark makes this work with relative ease.

Anne Hathaway In Etro, Aritzia & Citizens of Humanity – AOL Build Speaker Series

Anne Hathaway In Etro, Aritzia & Citizens of Humanity - AOL Build Speaker Series

Anne Hathaway continued promoting her new movie, ‘Song One’, on Wednesday (January 21) in New York City.

Hotel Departure: Spotted leaving her hotel with husband Adam Shulman, the actress wore an Etro Fall 2014 coat, which is a luxe take on the season’s most covetable style: the blanket coat. Crafted from wool, its soft and lightweight texture offers enough warmth, yet she added a scarf for extra comfort. The look was styled with a black Valentino shoulder bag and The Frye Company ‘Reina’ brown booties.

AOL Build Speaker Series: Upon reaching her destination at the AOL Studios, her coat was removed to reveal a double-denim look, which continues her more laidback approach to red carpet dressing. She wore an Aritzia ‘Weyba’ denim shirt with Citizens of Humanity ‘Racer’ low-rise skinny jeans, which overall I find really refreshing.

Do you like Anne’s laidback approach or would you have preferred something more stylized?

Kate Beckinsale In Etro – Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony

Kate Beckinsale In Etro - Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony

Kate Beckinsale attended the Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony held at NASA Ames Research Center on Sunday (November 9) in Mountain View, California.

The actress, who is known for sticking to a red carpet formula which is yet to fail her, incorporated some print into her red carpet repertoire, and where better to start than with Etro?

Balancing rich prints with a moody colour palette while serving up plenty of sex appeal via the deep plunge and cut-outs, this is the change of direction that many of you have been screaming for.

Even the usually bouffant ponytail was relaxed on this occasion with Atelier Swarovski earring completing her look.

More of the same, or should she stick to what she knows? I’m going for a happy medium.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Mens 16 October

Here’s a quick menswear roundup.

James Marsden: The actor joined his ‘The Best Of Me’ co-star Michelle Monaghan for the 20th Annual Fulfillment Fund Stars Benefit Gala held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (October 14) in Beverly Hills, California. He wore a navy cotton jacket with a military-taped lapel from Kent and Curwen’s Spring 2015 collection, styled with a mahogany tie which matched his patent-leather shoes. Yet another swoon-worthy look from the guy who is ruling the red carpet at the moment.

Brad Pitt: When I saw the actor on the red carpet last night (October 15) for ‘The Fury’ Washington D.C. premiere, the first thing to come to mind was George “Pornstache” Mendez from ‘Orange is the New Black’. ‘Tache aside, the actor looked very suave in his charcoal-grey suit.

Miles Teller: The actor attended the gala premiere for ‘Whiplash’ during the 58th BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square on Thursday (October 15) in London, England. Not letting the non-stop rain dampen his suit, the actor looked very dapper in his dark-wood windowpane notched-lapel suit. Much like James Marsden, the actor has showcased impeccable style all year.
