Chris Pratt In Ermenegildo Zegna - ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ London Premiere

Chris Pratt attended the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square on Thursday (July 24) in London, England

The leading man looked very dapper in his Ermenegildo Zegna brown windowpane, two button, three-piece, notch lapel suit which he styled with black lace up shoes.

Once again he makes me swoon.

Menswear 26 June

Here is a quick look at what some of the guys were wearing on the red carpet yesterday.

Ansel Elgort: The young actor attended the Valentino show as part of Paris Fashion Week Menswear Spring 2015 in France. Wearing a Spring 2014 navy suit with epaulettes to give it a military feel, the look was styled with a white shirt and brown Valentino loafers. He is giving a very strong Jude Law vibe here.

Jay Z: The rapper, who joined his Atelier-Versace-clad wife on their joint ‘On The Run’ tour yesterday evening, wore a custom Rodarte black, charcoal and white ’99 Problems’ jersey with black cargo pants and a lot of bling.

Mark Wahlberg: The ‘Transformers’ actor joined his co-stars Nicola Peltz and Li Bingbing on the red carpet for the New York premiere last night wearing another Giorgio Armani suit, which fared much better, fit-wise, than his last outing.

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor is still on a hot streak from awards season as he picked up Best Actor in a Drama Series for ‘True Detective’ at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Keeping it simple and classic, the actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture burgundy herringbone, two-button, notch-lapel suit with a bow tie. His double monk-strap shoes don’t hide the fact that his trousers are just a tad too long.

Mark Wahlberg: The actor joined Li Bingbing and Nicola Peltz on the red carpet for the ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Hong Kong premiere wearing an Armani suit. I love the light grey colour with the lighter blue tie, but the fit is way off for me. It feels at least a size too big.

Josh Dallas: The ‘Once Upon A Time’ actor joined Matthew at the Critics’ Choice Awards yesterday evening. Keeping it all black and not opting for a tie, the actor wore a Z Zegna shawl-collar suit with a grosgrain lapel and buttoned-up shirt.

Here’s a quick look at the fellas taking to the red carpet last night.

Tinie Tempah: The rapper and FROW regular attended the PRISM x Disturbing London Collection launch in London yesterday evening. Looking as sharp as always, Tinie wore a Burberry Tailoring mauve blazer, white shirt and sleek maroon tie, keeping his trousers stylishly (in his eyes at the very least) short, as always. Black loafers and his BFC (British Fashion Council) pin rounded out his look. It may be a familiar format, but the colourways and fits do differ keeping this look fresh and interesting.

Robert Pattinson: The British actor made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’. It appears that the male Dior ambassadors, aren’t held to the same expectations as the women, as Rob wore a Gucci burgundy notch lapel two button Signoria suit paired with an unbuttoned printed Louis Vuitton shirt for a more laid-back feel.

Stephen Moyer: While many guys are delighting with their colourful choices on the red carpet of late, the British actor stuck to black, selecting an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture two-button notched-lapel suit. A wise choice for the ‘True Blood’ premiere, which he attended with his wife Anna Paquin. He styled his look with a Jennifer Meyer earring and Christian Louboutin ‘Trepeter’ flats.

Over the weekend, a handful of men were out and about in a range of eclectic and colourful ensembles. The traditional suit was completely missing in action among this group of guys, who were none too afraid to push the envelope beyond basic black.

David Gandy: The model was ever so dapper in his Marks & Spencer Best Of British Collection ensemble when he attended the One For The Boys Charity Ball during the London Collections: Men. With that steely stare, this handsome hot topic can pull off this hyper-tailored, three-piece suit including a plaid sport coat, white vest and dark pleated pants.

Kellan Lutz: At the 2014 MuchMusic Awards in Toronto, Canada, the actor hit the red carpet in a burgundy Ermenegildo Zegna two-button, notch lapel suit. His maroon tie may have been a bit askance, but it’s hard to argue with this eggplant-hued statement.

Luke Evans: Making quite the impression, Luke may have even out-dressed David at the One For the Boys Charity Ball. His Fendi Spring 2014 statement featured a chaotic pattern of blue and charcoal lines, which he complemented with a navy tie and patent blue, rubber-soled loafers. Too loud?
