Erin O’Connor celebrates receiving her MBE in Giles & Erdem

It was a very proud moment for Erin O’Connor who was honoured with an MBE for her services to fashion and charity yesterday (November 15), at an Investitures ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London.

Investitures ceremony: Marrying formal elegance with plenty of style, the model wore Giles Deacon custom made coat. While the opulent detailing and military influences are apparent, the ruffles and peplum gives her coat a ladylike air. I’m sure the Queen was also rather taken by Erin’s veiled fascinator.

MBE Party: I love how Erin co-ordinated her MBE badge to her Erdem Spring 2018 brocade dress. Few could make those embellished opera gloves work, but as I often associate opera gloves with high status and a vintage era, they couldn’t have been a more perfect match to her look. When it comes to the printed pumps, I can’t say the love extends to this piece. But she looks fabulous as always.

2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many modes of so-called glamour were represented at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 13) in Brooklyn, New York. Here’s a look at some of the other femmes in attendance.

Sailor Brinkley: Simple seduction was precisely what this ZAC Zac Posen Resort 2018 sequin slip gown was all about—with Sailor’s romantic ringlets to follow form.

Yolanda Hadid: For Yolanda, an LBD meant a long black dress in this Akris gown that smartly hinted at seduction in the keyhole detail and side slit.

Sofia Coppola: Fresh and snappy, this Michael Kors Collection Resort 2018 floral frock brought a boldly printed twist to Sofia’s comfortable, no-nonsense style.

Carey Mulligan In Erdem – Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017

The Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2017 on Thursday (November 2) in London also saw Carey Mulligan in the mix alongside Gemma Arterton, Hayley Atwell, and Jodie Foster.

I was immediately charmed by how this Erdem Spring 2018 plaid dress delivered a flirtatious twist on prim styling with its asymmetrical, off-the-shoulder neckline and flared, swing skirt.

While the look was in keeping with Carey’s safe-chic persona, the little bit of extra attitude here made all the difference.

Lucy Boynton In Erdem – ‘Murder On The Orient Express’ World Premiere

Lucy Boynton was also at the ‘Murder On The Orient Express’ London world premiere on Thursday (November 2), where Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley were also in attendance.

Even though this embellished Erdem pouf dress hailed from the Spring 2018 collection, it had a darker floral allure that made it an ideal outing for the fall.

I really like the spike of the grass-green ribbon here, as it provided such an intriguing, regal splash to the brocade dress.

Whereas a streamlined heel would have provided a more traditionally chic finish, I even surprised myself by not entirely discrediting the chunky platform shoes. The contrasting printed footwear provided a directional, quirky twist on the look.

Kate Bosworth In Erdem – PORTER Incredible Women Gala

Kate Bosworth joined Annabelle Wallis for the PORTER Incredible Women Gala on Wednesday (November 1) in Hollywood, California.

After her princess moment in Oscar de la Renta, the actress was still in a uber girl mood when she donned this Erdem Spring 2018 frock.

I love how this look possesses a dose of bygone glamour, while the floral pattern and tulle layer adds a charming, dreamy finish.

Claire Foy In Erdem – 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards

Claire Foy introduced a new look at the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards on Friday (October 27) in Beverly Hills, California.

Taking her locks to a shorter, shaggier pixie, she further her transformation that’s taken place this year.

One thing that’s remained is her love for floral-induced femininity, as showcased in this Erdem Spring 2018 off-the-shoulder dress.

I had to smile at the whimsicality brought forth in the tufts of feathers that floated away from the design.

But, what I loved even more was the alabaster radiance of her complexion against the rich sheen of the dress—an effect that was only further enhanced by her cropped, dark locks.
