Lena Dunham In Erdem – 2013 Met Gala

‘Girls’ star Lena Dunham attended the 2013 Met Gala in New York City with designer Erdem Moralioglu by her side.

For the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fashion party of the year, she covered up in a custom Erdem gown that was flattering but verging on more forgettable territory—especially on the radically themed red carpet of this year’s event.

With the high bib neckline and the frills, what immediately came to mind was ‘prairie-girl-punk.’

On this occasion, Lena’s tattoos work quite well with the rebel theme, while a smokey eye and nude lippie, along with a slicked-back bob finished the look.

She’s sometimes been a red-carpet enigma, puzzling us with her sartorial statements. How do you think she fares at the Met?

Alexa Chung In Erdem – 2013 Met Gala

The always fashion-forward Alexa Chung wore a dress from Erdem’s Fall 2013 collection to the Met Gala.

I don’t read punk here, but I do love the subtle peek-a-boo factor of this dress. Bare midriffs are a huge trend this spring, and I like the trendy-without-being vulgar version this dress offers. I also really like the effect of wearing the black hotpants under the dress.

My one fashion complaint here is the extra high neckline, which takes this into victorian territory–it looks better on the runway stopping at the collarbone.

Alexa’s soft updo and simple makeup are well paired with the bold dress–Alexa never looks overdone, and tonight is no different.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Erdem – Manchester Visit

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge finally showed off her growing baby bump when she paid a visit to Willows Primary School in Manchester, England this afternoon, where she helped to launch a project to help reduce the impact of drug and alcohol addiction on children in the UK.

On such a glorious day she could no longer hide her bump under a coat, so she wore an Erdem silk Sophia Visconti-bloom shift dress from the Resort 2013 collection.

She teamed her dress with navy-blue suede pumps, a navy clutch and her glossy locks.

Let’s pray the sun comes out for all her official engagements so we will get to see plenty more of her maternity style sans coat.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Erdem – ‘Iron Man 3′ Paris Premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow attended her first premiere for ‘Iron Man 3′, which was held at Le Grand Rex in Paris, France on Sunday evening.

The actress gave us our first look from Erdem’s darker Fall 2013 collection.

Her navy top and pants with colourful signature embroidery was sadly let down by her hair styling.

The top, which features a wrap-around capelet-like detail, is competing with her hair.

As showcased by the model, her hair didn’t need to be up, but most definitely pushed back off her shoulders, but there is a possibility that Gwyneth’s hair was too short to to this successfully.

Navy Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps completed her look.

Does Gwynie’s hairstyle put you off this look, do you love it regardless, or is this too avant garde for the mini-dress-loving actress to pull off?

Naomi Watts In Erdem – 2nd Annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon

Naomi Watts just whirled through a successful 2013 awards season—at least when it came to her red-carpet style—and she continued her consistent, sophisticated run at ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ and Jimmy Choo’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon on Wednesday in West Hollywood, California.

The actress wore an Erdem Resort 2013 abstract floral-print dress in shades of Venetian blue, smartly paired with nude Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and a matching nude Valentino ‘Rockstud’ clutch.

We’ve previously seen Jessica Chastain and Gemma Arterton in looks from Erdem Moralioglu’s floral-focused collection.

But who can argue with this scoop-neck frock that’s ladylike and lovely, especially with Naomi’s fresh, new wavy bob.

The modish mastermind orchestrating Naomi’s ultra-sleek looks? Her stylist, Jeanann Williams, whose clients also include Emily Mortimer, Ryan Hastings and Robert Pattinson.

Jessica Chastain In Erdem – 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon

Jessica Chastain was no wallflower when she took to the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon on Monday, held at The Beverly Hilton in California.

The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ actress plucked out a vibrant sheath dress from Erdem’s Resort 2013 offering.

With its simple silhouette, the main impact of this midnight navy design was the intricate texture of the bright rose and dusty blue floral embroidery and the sheer lace sleeves.

Luncheon-like and lady-like, the look was finished with a pair of nude, pointy Christian Louboutins that faded into the background—not nearly as bold as the model’s shoe.

Jessica wore her flame-red locks long and curled, and she matched a pink lippie to those petals on her dress.

She’s not the only star who has lately been channeling the flower power of Erdem. Anne Hathaway recently wore a look from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, as did Marion Cotillard—twice, in fact.
