Joan Smalls In Emilio Pucci – ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Joan Smalls In Emilio Pucci - ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

For those of you tired of tulle and sick of sequins, Joan Smalls’ look at the ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening should serve as a welcome tonic.

The beautiful model, who’s still working an ombre ‘do, wore an Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 romantic look.

Her powder-pink lace long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline was styled with a crystal encrusted belt, white strappy sandals and smouldering smoky eyes.

Do you enjoy this change of pace, or is it not enough for Cannes?

‘Fruitvale Station’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

'Fruitvale Station' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The ‘Fruitvale Station’ premiere took place during Cannes Film Festival this evening following the photocall earlier today.

Octavia Spencer: As expected, the actress wore a Tadashi Shoji custom gown. We’ve seen the actress don many gowns in shade of cream, lavender, black and blue, but never a fiery hue like this red tulle-and-lace draped cape sleeve gown. The colour is so striking and the style so very flattering.

Ahna O’Reilly: The actress selected an ivory fully sequined Elie Saab one-sleeve gown with cut-outs at the waist.

Melonie Diaz: Like Octavia, Melonie also opted for a bold colour wearing an Emilio Pucci sea-blue chiffon gown accented with a black beaded belt and styled with silver jewels. Once again she worked a bold lip colour.

Claire Julien In Emilio Pucci, Taissa Farmiga In Valentino & Katie Chang In Dior – ‘The Bling Ring’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

'The Bling Ring' Premiere - The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival

It was very much a girls’ night out as Emma Watson and her ‘The Bling Ring’ co-stars took to the red carpet tonight for the movie’s premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

Claire Julien: Having stepped out in Balmain earlier today, the blonde actress selected a blush-coloured Emilio Pucci gown which was custom made for her. The strapless gown with sheer inserts and an epic organza train was styled with a gorgeous smile and natural golden waves.

Taissa Farmiga: For her second Cannes look, the actress wore a Valentino Fall 2013 gown, a privilege many more established actresses are yet to enjoy. Her sleeveless black gown with an off-white lace bodice with leather insets at the sides features a tonal lattice beaded embellishment throughout. Side swept tresses and diamond drop earrings completed her look.

Katie Chang: The young actress had the honour of being dressed in Dior tonight. The brand are really staking their claim on this festival this year. Katie wore a Dior white silk crepe gown with a black sash which she styled with Dior Fine Jewelry.

They may be relative unknown celebrities to us, but it looks like fashion brands are taking notice, which is to be applauded.

Zoe Saldana In Dolce & Gabbana & Emilio Pucci – Extra

Zoe Saldana In Emilio Pucci - Extra

Zoe Saldana wore two summery looks which showed off her slender legs on Monday afternoon for her promotional duties for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ at The Grove in California.

For her guest appearance on Extra, she wore a nude Dolce & Gabbana blouse with lace and button accents with white Dolce & Gabbana shorts, styling the look with contrasting turquoise-and-yellow Christian Louboutin ‘Flo’ patent slingbacks.

Later the same day, while exiting The Grove she was spotted wearing another pair of shorts, this time a turquoise pair with a matching silk top with an elaborate print from the Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 collection.

On this occasion it’s clear that the dual-colour slingbacks were intended for this look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Nina Dobrev In Monique Lhuillier, Chris Pine In Ralph Lauren & Amber Heard In Emilio Pucci

BDOTW 13 May

Nina Dobrev’s Monique Lhuillier Met Gala look was your best dressed this week.

Even though you guys didn’t rate her, Amber Heard in Emilio Pucci was my best dressed this week by a very long mile.

Between the colour, the embellishments, impeccable styling and that sexy open back, I was hooked.

When it came to the guys, it was a two-horse race between Eddie Redmayne and Chris Pine. Eventually, Chris won for his very dapper Ralph Lauren pinstripe three-piece suit.

Amber Heard In Emilio Pucci – 2013 Met Gala

Amber Heard In Emilio Pucci - 2013 Met Gala

Amber Heard, wasn’t working the role of blonde bombshell as she’s sporting darker locks these days, however, she still looked stunning as she took to the red carpet for the 2013 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday evening.

The actress was the guest of Peter Dundas, who created this gorgeous red Emilio Pucci gown especially for her.

Her red chantilly lace backless gown with red sheer point d’esprit panels and ruby red crystal and scarlet beaded embroidery all over was accessorized with a matching studded minaudière also from Pucci.

Glossy side-swept wavy locks and a nude lip colour completed her look.

I am glad she didn’t opt for a red lip colour; it would’ve been too obvious, even though punk theme probably required it. I love how her natural beauty stands out here.

The first to make it into my top ten tonight.

Alice Eve In Emilio Pucci – ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin Premiere

Alice Eve In Emilio Pucci - 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Berlin Premiere

Alice Eve took to the red carpet for the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin premiere held at the CineStar in Germany yesterday evening.

The British actress has upped the ante on the promo tour since the arrival of Zoe Saldana, and I am very grateful because after a succession of ‘meh’ dresses she pulled this Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 number out of the hat.

Making a clear statement that she is not the understudy on this tour, Alice totally holds her own in this red-hot gown with a cut-out detail under the bust.

A few of you were sceptical about the bangs, but I think it has given her a new lease of life.

Keeping the red theme shimmering, she added red lips and a red manicure to her look.

I think this is a BDOTW contender. Do you?
