Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Emilia Wickstead – Palm Sunday Service

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Emilia Wickstead - Palm Sunday Service

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge touched down at Dunedin International Airport on Sunday (April 13) in Dunedin, New Zealand ahead of attending a Palm Sunday service at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral.

Wearing another colour-popping look on day seven of the royal tour, following yesterday’s emerald Erdem coat, she wore a turquoise Emilia Wickstead long-sleeved dress cinched in waist featuring a pleated skirt, falling above the knee. I’m sure this shorter length will please those who said her Jenny Packham dress was too short.

The Duchess paired her eye-catching Sunday best frock with a matching blue hat by milliner Jane Taylor, with some sparkle courtesy of the Queen, Catherine wore her diamond fern brooch, which was given to the Queen in 1954 by the women of Auckland.

This look is particularly significant considering London-based designer Emilia Wickstead is originally from New Zealand.

Dark-green suede accessories, which don’t work for the look for me, completed her look.

You may remember that Catherine also owns this dress in pink, which she has worn twice before.

Fall 2014 Celebrity Looks On ModaOperandi

Fall 2014 Celebrity Looks On ModaOperandi

The current Fall 2014 trunk shows feature a few looks we’ve recently seen on the red carpet.

Poppy Delevingne wore Emilia Wickstead’s funnel-neck crop top with sheer-lace bonding throughout with the high-waist wrap skirt while attending the Elle Style Awards last month. She was spotted the following day doing the walk of shame wearing an Emilia Wickstead jacquard silver floral coat featuring a notched collar and a caban silhouette while making her way home.

Cate Blanchett’s Roksanda Ilincic ‘Sand Lea’ sleeveless felted-wool dress – which features a bateau neckline and multicolour abstract-floral inset, as worn to the Film Independent Spirit Awards earlier this month – is also available.

As is Allison Williams’ stunning Emilia Wickstead pink wool-crepe finale dress with an open back, which was worn to the Vanity Fair party.

Check out all the current Fall 2014 trunk shows, including Antonio Berardi, Isabel Marant, Equipment, Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Rosie Assoulin and many more.

Allison Williams In Emilia Wickstead – Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Allison Williams In Emilia Wickstead - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

The recently engaged Allison Williams was glowing at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday (March 2).

She wore an Emilia Wickstead Fall 2014 dress right off the runway with a Roger Vivier ‘Prismick’ Pochette.

Although it looks very conservative, the seemingly covered up dress has an elegant open back. Even so, I think Allison constantly plays it either too safe, or too old.

She rounded up the look with her usual flawless, simple and sleek hair and makeup.

I for one am dying to see her take fashion risks! Are you with me?

Poppy Delevingne In Emilia Wickstead - Out In London

Following her turn on the red carpet at Tuesday’s Elle Style Awards, Poppy Delevingne was seen heading home from Claridge’s Hotel in the same outfit early this morning (February 19).

Dubbed the walk of shame, we at least got to see the full Emilia Wickstead Fall 2014 look in action, as the model donned the metallic-grey-and-white floral-print oversized coat.

Opting for sunglasses when the sun hasn’t shone in London for quite some time now, the walk of shame has never looked so stylish.

Poppy Delevigne In Emilia Wickstead – Elle Style Awards 2014

Poppy Delevigne In Emilia Wickstead - Elle Style Awards 2014

Poppy Delevingne confirmed her status as a trend-setter at the 2014 Elle Style Awards held at London’s One Embankment (February 18) by wearing an Emilia Wickstead Fall 2014 outfit seen only just a few days ago on a London Fashion Week catwalk.

Breaking away from her usually pretty palette, Poppy opted for much more grown-up shade of ochre which was certainly refreshing.

It was also great to see Poppy break away from her usual look and opt for a cropped lace high-necked long sleeve top with mid-length pencil skirt.

While I’m thoroughly enjoying seeing London’s socialite scene experiment with ladylike looks by Emilia, I do however think the skirt looks a little frumpy which is surprising considering Poppy’s super slender frame.

Overall this is a well thought-out look even though slightly unexpected, but I know Poppy has much more to offer. Do you agree?
