Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture Red Carpet Wish List

Dear Stylists,

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to dress one of your beautiful clients in one of my favourite looks from the Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture collection, which took place today in Paris.

There is no expiration date, but I am hoping to see one as early as the BAFTAs – hoping to see one of these beauties on the red carpet for the SAG Awards on Sunday may just be a case of me being too greedy (needy).

My favourites feature stunning embroideries and embellishments, you won’t be surprised to learn, with colours ranging from ice-white to baby-blue, and a rich red caped look which simply took my breath away.

Which one tops my list?

The white gown with the mini cape, with the strapless floral gown with black embroidery and iridescent sequin detailing coming in a very close second.

Lea Michele In Elie Saab – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

‘Glee’ diva Lea Michele always knows how to strike a red-carpet pose, and the 2013 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California were no exception.

The starlet glittered from head to toe in an embellished, white Elie Saab gown from the Spring 2012 collection, matched with a stunning emerald green earring.

Offsetting the halter neck, Lea added some of her signature sexiness with the thigh-high slit through which one of her bronzed pins peeked.

After her fresh Elie Saab turn at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, it’s no wonder Lea wanted to strut out another look from the designer.

She wore her brunette locks were down and wavy, but with the neckline of the dress, her hair may have benefited from a soft updo.

With the fishtail train and beading, this look did have some borderline bridal tinges for me—minus that revealing slit, of course.

Amy Adams In Elie Saab Couture – 38th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards

Amy Adams joined Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California for the 38th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards yesterday evening.

The red haired actress went back into the archives to select this stunning Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture creation.

I had goosebumps when I saw her in this lilac lace strapless frock, because it’s from one of my favourite Elie Saab collections to date.

The delicate dress which gathers from the waist and accented with a grosgrain ribbon was styled with nude Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps.

Even her dazzling statement earrings can’t upstage this beautiful dress – as much as they tried.

Nicole Kidman In Elie Saab Couture – 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala

After a busy night in Hollywood, we start with Nicole Kidman.

The Australian actress attended the 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE in California, where she donned an Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture dress.

I was initially really excited to see the A-lister wearing this coral sleeveless fit-and-flare dress, even if it does feel a bit twee for the statuesque beauty, but then I realized that this is a rerun.

You may remember that Laetitia Casta wore this same dress back in September during the Venice Film Festival.

With so many pieces yet to be worn from this collection, I wish she’d given one of the unseen pieces a run-out.

Pale pink Bottega Veneta pumps and Fred Leighton earrings accessorized her look with a wavy updo providing the finishing touches.

Lea Michele In Elie Saab – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Pretty in head-to-toe pink, Lea Michele was radiant on the red carpet last night for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California where she picked up the ‘Favourite Comedic TV Actress’ award.

Would you believe this is Lea Michele’s first Elie Saab dress?

The ‘Glee’ actress delights wearing a pink short-sleeve cocktail dress with embellished lace detailing from the Spring 2012 collection.

To showcase her perfect pins, the dress was taken from knee-length to thigh-length, which is something we expect from the likes of Kristen Stewart.

After Lea wore so many samey gowns towards the end of last year, I’m glad to see her opting for something more fresh and youthful.

My one-to-watch in 2013 is yet to disappoint.

A braided updo, and matching pink Elie Saab sandals plus Anita Ko jewels completed her look.
