The actress wore a black Elie Saab sleeveless frock with a nipped-in waist and flared skirt.

Halle Berry In Elie Saab Couture - 2014 Huading Film Awards

Halle Berry collected the Global Icon Award during the Huading Film Awards on Sunday (June 1) which were held at Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Los Angeles, California. This was the first time China’s #1 film awards has been held in the U.S.

The actress, who made Elie Saab a household name by wearing one of his gowns to the 2002 Oscars, went back into the designer’s archive to select her look for this occasion.

Her Elie Saab black floral-embroidered gown featuring sheer sleeves and a lace-accented side slit, hails from the Spring 2003 Couture collection, the first Couture collection by the Lebanese designer.

Even though this dress is old, it is refreshing to see something different from Elie Saab; as I noted in my Elle Fanning post, those beaded gowns are all starting to feel like red carpet repeats.

Jourdan Dunn In Elie Saab - World Music Awards 2014

Jourdan Dunn attended the World Music Awards 2014 at Sporting Monte Carlo on Tuesday (May 27) in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The leggy model wore a green Elie Saab Spring 2014 mini halter dress rendered in embellished details, as is customary with most of the designer’s pieces – as is the thin tonal leather belt.

While the designer matches his dresses and shoes, Jourdan opted to match hers to her hair, wearing a pair of metallic-gold pumps to complete her sultry red carpet look.

Elle Fanning In Elie Saab Couture - ‘Maleficent’ World Premiere

Elle Fanning joined Angelina Jolie on the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre on Wednesday (May 28) in Hollywood, California for the world premiere of Disney’s ‘Maleficent’.

Continuing to be the yin to Angelina’s yang, the young actress looked divine, working the princess angle wearing an Elie Saab lilac-blue short-sleeved fully embroidered tulle A-line gown with a matching belt from the Spring 2014 Couture collection.

The gown is stunning, elegant and romantic with a striking silhouette; however, it instantly reminded me of an almost identical Elie Saab Couture gown Katy Perry wore to the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Plus, I am not a fan of the choker. Despite that, this breathtaking gown still deserves a place on the BDOTW list.

The look featured an asymmetrical hem and neckline with a puffy shoulder styled with yet another dazzling pair of De Grisogono earrings, with white Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals completing her look.
