2017 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is our roundup from Sunday’s 2017 Emmy Awards.

Shannon Purser: I felt this was quite a magical, fairytale moment for Shannon. Her custom Sachin and Babi gown was simply breath-taking. Not only in colour, but also in design. The look was styled with Swarovski jewels.

Judith Light: Some might say this Christian Siriano gown is dated, but Judith brings so much energy to the look, that one can’t help but be left in awe.

Lea Michele In Elie Saab – 2017 Emmy Awards

Lea Michele has experimented with a variety of silhouettes and colours at past Emmy Awards, but drama remains constant—and there was no shortage of it at the 2017 Emmys on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

Working every inch of her Elie Saab Fall 2017 gown, she showed off the frock’s shimmering pleated skirt and side pockets to full effect.

The coordinating plum belt might have sometimes gotten lost amidst the yards of dazzling fabric, but the actress’s Lorraine Schwartz multicoloured earrings were one detail that I couldn’t ignore. The shot of green was sublime.

Silvia Abascal In Elie Saab – FesTVal 2017

Silvia Abascal attended the ‘La Catedral del Mar’ premiere at the Principal Teather during the FesTVal 2017 on Friday (September 8) in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

The actress wore an Elie Saab Spring 2017 dress with refined pleats and a loud print for a chic and contemporary maternity look.

I love that she decided to amp her look further with sparkling accessories from Elie Saab and Cartier jewels.

Berenice Bejo In Elie Saab – Deauville American Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Joining Charlotte Le Bon at the closing ceremony of the Deauville American Film Festival, Bérénice Bejo was also on the red carpet on Saturday (September 9) in France.

As Charlotte wore Dior throughout the festival, Bérénice showed the same affinity to designer Elie Saab.

For her finale look, she wore a piece from the Spring 2017 collection that continued her rich, glamour-forward stance—with a slightly more lighthearted mood in the sheer and fringe elements.

I love the electric teal-blue hue that flashed through the dress.

Rachel Weisz In Dolce & Gabbana & Rachel McAdams In Elie Saab – ‘Disobedience’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

The ‘Disobedience’ Toronto Film Festival premiere on Sunday (September 10) presented differing romantic lace ensembles courtesy of Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams.

Rachel Weisz: Offering an elegant version of lace, the actress was dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana dress. The gown with elbow-length sleeves was banded with crisscrossing black lace. Although it was still head-turning, it was a different take on Dolce & Gabbana’s typical maximalist embellishment. Rachel’s sleek bob and diminutive drop earrings lent an air of timeless sophistication to the two-tone gown.

Rachel McAdams: Dressed in ethereal mint ruffles, the other Rachel opted for the lingerie-inspired route with her Elie Saab Resort 2018 creation. I would have expected this to be styled with a very ethereal beauty look, but enjoyed the actress’s darker pink lipstick, smudge of black eyeliner and bedhead-y waves.

HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party Roundup

More femmes flaunted their style at the HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party on Saturday (September 9), joining Emma Roberts, Greta Gerwig and Jess Weixler.

Jessica Chastain: The actress took a flirty turn in an Elie Saab Resort 2018 embroidered in swirls of colour; a cleavage-forward look that proved that sexy and sweet can go hand in hand.

Margot Robbie: I loved the retro-mod, rock-star-chic vibe of this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 mini that brought maximum impact via the signature bold shoulder and crystal embellishment to an otherwise minimal LBD.

Dianna Agron: Despite the deep plunge, there was a quietly sophisticated allure that permeated this Schiaparelli gown that featured an ever-so-faintly transparent skirt. This is the kind of sheer I can fully get on board with.
