‘Ocean’s 8’ Worldwide Photocall

It was a fashion fiesta at the ‘Ocean’s 8’ worldwide photocall at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday (May 22) in New York City

Sarah Paulson: The fashion-forward actress put her own stamp on ladylike style in Michael Kors Collection Fall 2018. The exaggerated collar, sheer fabrication and contrasting godets add a quirky finish to the feminine look without taking away from its charm.

Awkwafina: The rapper and actress cut a sharp figure in a monochromatic ensemble. The cutout and sleek tailoring juxtapose the austerity of the Victorian collar.

Sandra Bullock: Opting for bright colour, she was outfitted in Elie Saab Resort 2018. No loud accessories were necessary between the striking shade and silhouette. If I must nitpick, the trousers need to be taken up.

Cate Blanchett: Another beauty in bold colour, she looked regal in Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2018. The colour combination, accessories (especially those Aquazzura ‘Simply Irresistible’ spicy red pumps) and fabrics exude sumptuous glamour, elevating the runway style into something formal enough for the event.

Anne Hathaway: Wearing ethereal white Maticevski, she looked like a dream. The choice of fabric and the metal zip prevented it from becoming a saccharine princess moment. Alexis Bittar jewelry completed her look.

Mindy Kaling: She normally shines in bright colours, but opted for inky black Stella McCartney and Louboutin shoes. It still had impact thanks to the sprinkling of embellishment. The soft silhouette has a sophisticated ease, but with the undone hair, some might critique it as having too much of a boudoir vibe.

‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Closing Ceremony Red Carpet Roundup

Lovely ladies joined Khadja Nin, Cate BlanchettKristen Stewart and Olga Kurylenko at ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ premiere and Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony on Saturday (May 19).

Léa Seydoux: Going for a bold, glittering finish, the French actress was outfitted in a Louis Vuitton dress and shoes. There have been some critics of the designer of late, but I’m hoping this shimmering, sensual silver style will go down favorably.

Ava DuVernay: The director oozed sophistication in a custom Stella McCartney gown. This rich maroon is divine with her complexion and the sweeping shoulder detail has such refined elegance.

Models @ amfAR Gala Cannes 2018

With the limited showing of actresses – Kristen Stewart, Laura Harrier and Coco Konig – at the amfAR Cannes Gala this year, it was left to the models to provide the glamour.

Maria Borges: It’s been so great to see Roberto Cavalli back on the red carpet at Cannes. Maria was one of many models to don a look from the Couture collection this year. This platinum piece dripping with citrine micro-crystals and draped fringes was as dazzling as she was radiant.

Karolina Kurkova: Always a cut above, the model looked very elegant and sexy in her Miu Miu column dress which she perfectly accessorized with Miu Miu shoes and drop diamond earrings to complement the Swarovski crystal bow.

Sara Sampaio: Even the models outstretch leg couldn’t upstage the dazzling sheen of her pleated lame Elie Saab Resort 2018 blue gown.

‘Burning (Beoning)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The second Wednesday at Cannes Film Festival is always one of the quietest days as celebs gear up for tonight’s amfAR Gala, but there were a few models who turn out for the ‘Burning (Beoning)’ premiere last night (May 16).

Toni Garrn: The model looked breath-taking wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2018 gown. Had it not been for the required Cannes bling – courtesy of Messika – I think that bodice would’ve been considered detail enough.

Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

There was no shortage of high octane fashion at the premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Monday evening (May 14). Celebrities joined Damaris LewisLaura Harrier and Naomi Campbell.

Natasha Poly: The pastel purple hue brought an ethereal quality to the unabashed sexiness of her Atelier Versace Spring 2018 dress. It had every sensual element and came to life when in motion. I’m of two minds about removing the front skirt panel as it often seems like it’s in the way.

Winnie Harlow: The vivid green hue of her Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Haute Couture outfit has such a bewitching quality and looks wonderful with her complexion. Alas, the material is not holding up very well for a couture look. It’s rather wilted.

Amber Heard In Giambattista Valli Haute Couture – ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Amber Heard made her second appearance on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ this evening (May 12).

Cannes and gowns are synonymous, but Amber and her stylist Karla Welch are two women who don’t care to play by the rules.

The actress wore a detail orientated Giambattista Valli Spring 2018 Haute Couture mini dress which had an edgy beauty to it which I adore.

Helen Mirren In Elie Saab Haute Couture – ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Helen Mirren graced the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ this evening (May 12).

Usually I don’t greet Fall looks with much love at the festival, but this Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture royal blue gown was fit for a Queen, and Helen is as good a royalty in my eyes.

The medieval theme can’t be denied, so I love how the actress played to up to the vibe with her gold accessories which included Avakian jewels.

Stunning, is an understatement. She always delivers.
