Who Wore Edition by Georges Chakra Better? Carrie Underwood or Sarah Harding

Carrie Underwood was the first to wear this stunning red Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2010 gown last year to the 2010 American Country Awards.

The Country music singer wore her asymmetrical red chiffon gown with beaded cummerbund and beaded tulle bodice with Rene Caovilla gold heels, Coomi jewels and a gold Rene Caovilla sequin clutch.

Sarah ‘try way too’ Harding wore the same dress to be 2011 BAFTA Awards last week.

She totally ruins the look for me with the full on red lips, eye make-up, frizzy locks, red platform heels and black clutch.

There is nothing subtle about this look. It’s too ‘in ya face’ for my liking.

Class and sophistication wins over desperate to be noticed, so Carrie wins for me.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Emmy Rossum In J. Mendel & Queen Latifah In Edition by Georges Chakra

Despite Kristen Stewart taking an early lead, Emmy Rossum was your eventual winner this week.

She caught you attention wearing a gorgeous J. Mendel Spring 2011 two tone orange ensemble which she wore for her appearance on the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” show.

I knew Queen Latifah would be my favourite the second I saw her in her breath-taking Edition by Georges Chakra gown, which she wore whilst presenting the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

It may be the first BDOTW poll of the year, but I know come December 2011 I will still remember this gorgeous look whilst putting together my BDOTY list.

Whether she actually makes the list only time will tell.

Queen Latifah In Edition by Georges Chakra – 2011 People’s Choice Awards

Joint Best Dressed & The Hostess with the Mostest Award
Queen Latifah was the host for 2011 People’s Choice Awards last night.

Both her stunning looks were custom made Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2011 gowns.

In both cases her look was preferred over the runway.

This turquoise ombre chiffon halter gown with Lucite beaded necklace neckline is heavenly against her smooth skin.

It’s like looking out into the Caribbean sea.

This was my favourite of the night.

Her second Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2011 gown was a vibrant fuchsia crepe one shoulder gown with crystal beading and satin strap detail.

All the detail is lost in white on the runway, so I’m glad Queen Latifah brought it to life for us.

She totally works both looks.

Katie Cassidy In Edition by Georges Chakra – 2010 Hollywood Style Awards

Katie Cassidy looked very chic at the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards which took place at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, California this weekend.

Prior to her stint in ‘Gossip Girl’, Katie used to wear a lot of fitted mini dresses, but on this occasion she opted for an Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2010 gown.

Her glorious black gown had sexy lace panels on the bodice and running down both sides of her dress. These lace panels were embellished with beaded details.

Katie kept her accessories very simple by adding a black clutch and diamond bracelet.

Carrie Underwood in Edition by Georges Chakra – 2010 American Country Awards

I love Country Awards as it’s the one place I’m guaranteed to find some gorgeous gowns by Lebanese designers.

Carrie Underwood never lets me down at these events.

She looked stunning wearing an Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2010 gown – which is sold exclusively at Dia-Boutique – to the 2010 American Country Awards last night.

It was my favourite dress from this collection and Carrie – as always – does it justice.

Her asymmetrical red chiffon gown with beaded cummerbund and beaded tulle bodice also has a sexy thigh-high split which reveals her Rene Caovilla gold heels.

Coomi jewels and a matching Rene Caovilla sequin clutch complete her look.

It’s going to be hard narrow 10 looks for BDOTW. This is another worthy contender in my eyes.
