Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011

I was very excited about my first Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011 presentation and I wasn’t disappointed.

The back drop of the show had stairs which I thought was for decoration, but the models had to walk down the stairs to get to the runway.

As true professionals they navigated the stairs with no mishaps or falls.

We were presented with vibrant colours and stand out prints which we expect from any DVF collection.

Sleek silhouettes dominate the runway alongside the icon signature wrap dress.

Jumpsuits, hooded sleeveless tops, and pantsuits, shorts, harem pants and

Like the designer herself Diane designs for the bold confident woman which was very much reflected in this collection.

Favourites: Printed halter top with contrast printed harem pants and the electric blue plunging dress

Front row: Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Bilson, Molly Sims, Poppy Delevingne, Estelle and Katie Cassidy

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Bilson, Molly Sims, Poppy Delevingne, Katie Cassidy, Jessica Lowndes, Kelly Ripa and Olivia Palermo

Jessica Lowndes’ Emmy’s Party Weekend

After wowing us on the red carpet at the 2010 Entertainment Weekly And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Party this weekend wearing an adorable red Luisa Beccaria dress, Jessica then went onto 3 other events this Emmy weekend.

She started off at The Art Of Elysium’s 2nd Annual “Genesis” Event.

Unfortunately for her the black background made it hard to make out much of the details on her beautiful black one shoulder cocktail Paule Ka dress.

This dress is ironically from Paule Ka’s ‘Black Carpet’ collection.

On the model you can clearly make out a bow on the waist, but not so much on Jessica.

Jess paired her look with black Sergio Rossi pumps, a black clutch and green Rina Limor drop earrings.

A black dress paired with green earrings continues to be a red carpet trend.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus sported this combination at the Emmys this weekend.

At the 8th Annual BAFTA/LA TV Tea Party the star arrived wearing an Alice + Olivia high waisted polka dot skirt from the Fall 2010 skirt with a black Topshop scoop neck vest.

Her look was paired with a black clutch, Scott Mikolay jewels, a Topshop sequin leaf headband and those Sergio Rossi heel again.

This is a fresh, cute and utterly charming look.

The final stop this weekend was AMC’s Emmy Awards After Party.

Jessica’s looked angelic wearing a Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2010 strapless dress.

The dress had been slightly modified from the runway to give more coverage on the bust.

This time she swapped her black Sergio Rossi heels for grey ones to match her dress.

What I love most about this dress, is the rosette detail on the skirt which is cleverly worked into the dress.

An Arianne Tunney silver clutch and Miriam Salat jewels completed her look.

Of all these looks her DVF dress is my favourite, but the Luisa Beccaria dress is my favourite overall.

Runway To Sidewalk – Kim Kardashian In Diane von Furstenberg

Kim Kardashian was spotted on Robertson Boulevard in LA yesterday picking out some new additions to her closet.

In the pictures below I spot Madison, Diavolina, Tory Burch and Rock & Republic shopping bags.

Kim’s already shopped at Diane von Furstenberg, because she was wearing a dress from the designers Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

Her Diane von Furstenberg Pialla dress was paired with black patent belt, a Balenciaga bag and Christian Louboutin suede ‘Piros 120? ruched boots.

I would’ve thought it was still too warm to be wearing Fall boots in LA, but I do love them with this look.

Blake Lively was spotted on the set of Gossip Girl wearing a very similar dress with ankle boots.

Kim bumped into “Entourage” actor Adrian Grenier who was filming in the area.

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is surprisingly in it’s 5th season which starts Sunday, August 22 at 10/9C on E!

13th Annual Super Saturday Event

Kim Kardashian, Kelly Ripa and Ashley Greene were some of the many guests invited to the 13th Annual Super Saturday Event which was held in Water Mill, New York.

Kim looked opted to wear a peach draped skirt with a Helmut Lang cowl-neck top.

She adds divialious Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly leopard print heels to complete her look.

This is quite a nice look for Kim. She loves to accentuate her womanly figure by adding large belts to nip in her waist.

Since she was going for a soft look maybe she should’ve toned down the smokey eyes.

Kelly Ripa’s Diane von Furstenberg beige Taleen dress with cascading ruffles and lace trims was complemented with matching peep-toes.

“Twilight” actress Ashley Greene completed the trio of summery looks wearing a DKNY white ruffle hem dress.

This is how you create an effortless summery look with a simple dress, simple styling and make-up.

Her white dress was paired with beige accessories which included a thin belt and Sam Edelman wedges.

On The Gossip Girl Set With Blake Lively In Diane von Furstenberg

The stars of “Gossip Girl” are back in town, as they continue filming the hit series in New York City after a stint in Paris.

Blake Lively was spotted on set yesterday wearing a Diane von Furstenberg batwing silk dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

I love how this dress was cinched at the waist with a big belt as the baggy dress isn’t very Serena, but the plunge is.

The look was paired with tan Pierre Hardy ankle boots and a large Nancy Gonzalez ombre python tote.

Before Blake’s second scene, filming was delayed because of the rain.

The blonde actress shielded herself under an umbrella wearing a mint tank, denim vest, and printed culottes paired with caged heels.

I prefer the previous look as I’m not fond of that denim vest.

Which do you prefer?

“So You Think You Can Dance” – Cat Deeley In Diane von Furstenberg & Vivienne Westwood Anglomania

British TV presenter Cat Deeley hosts the America TV show “So You Think You Can Dance” which had a live show yesterday.

One of her looks was this beautiful Diane von Furstenberg Asuka shift dress.

This dress from the Spring 2010 collection has a very striking exotic print, cut-out details and wood beading.

I love that she opted for rich earth-tone accessories which included a chocolate belt and bronze gladiator heels.

I didn’t quite get the hair accessory.

Maybe she was trying to style it like the runway.

For her second look Cat opted for a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania check dress.

I wasn’t particularly keen on this dress, mostly because Cat looks like a grown woman wearing a school girls uniform from a posh private school.

The look doesn’t work for me at all, but I did like her hair and the jewel accessory on her shoulder.

Which look do you favour?

Olivia Palermo Night & Day

Olivia loves to dress up, but even her dress down look is effortlessly chic.

Last week ‘The City’ star attended the “Civic Leadership Spring Benefit” in New York looking cute wearing an Topshop embellished cardigan over a Diane von Furstenberg top.

She added so crispy white summer shorts and peach Aldo Starace sandals to complete her evening summery look.

The following day she was spotted out in New York filming scenes for ‘The City’ wearing a very simple look including a navy blazer, white tee and khaki J Brand jeggings.

Her high end accessories complete the look as she added a tan Hermes Birkin and wore Lanvin cap-loe leather sneakers.

I think this is the most casual I’ve ever seen Olivia
