Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Diane von Furstenberg – British Consul-General Private Reception

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William were the guests of honor at a private reception held at the British Consul-General’s residence in LA on Friday evening.

Still wearing the same nude pumps, Catherine changed into a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Maja’ green silk dress.

An exotic Diane von Furstenberg Lytton snakeskin clutch added a remarkable contrast to her look.

This is a great colour for the Duchess; I hope we see more colourful looks from her as I’m on navy, beige, grey overload.

Something tells me this won’t be the last DVF dress we see from Catherine on this tour.

Catherine’s dress is available from Saks.com, Matches Fashion and Boutique1.com

Models @ The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards

Here’s a look at my favourite models who graced the red carpet at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards last night.

They just made picking a Top 10 for this event almost impossible.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Prabal Gurung walked the red carpet very proudly with his supermodel date for the night. Alessandra was unbelievably breath-taking in her Prabal Gurung Fall 2011 gown. She blew everyone out of the water at this event as she worked every seam in this amazing gown.

Karlie Kloss: Jason Wu also dressed his favourite model in red. Karlie’s jewels were more subtle and she added a black clutch and a black belt to her sophisticated look.

Jessica Alba In Diane von Furstenberg – 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards

Best Colour-Blocking Award
Jessica Alba is the hardest working mother-to-be in Hollywood.

She attended the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards looking radiant wearing a custom Diane von Furstenberg dress.

The coral and purple colour-block look was inspired by the Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011 collection.

This has to be my favourite maternity look from her so far.

Jessica accessorized with Fallon jewels. I especially love those gold cuffs.

Her look was complete with sparkly embellished Casadei peep toe pumps and a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit Cotte de Maille clutch.

Cheryl Cole In Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg & Burberry Prorsum – The X Factor US Auditions

In the manner of Chelsea Handler, “What…a hot mess.”

I haven’t used that term in a long while, but Cheryl Cole looked frightfully and uncharacteristically bad as she made her way to the first round of auditions for ‘The X Factor’ at the Galen Center in LA yesterday.

I don’t know if this a case of trying too hard, or not trying hard enough, but this look leaves me cold considering how cute she looked during auditions in the UK.

Cheryl has the right intentions by wearing American brands to appeal to her new American audience.

She wore an Oscar de la Renta ruffled silk top, with Diane von Furstenberg Simca stretch-cotton pants.

As styled by Net-A-Porter.com.

The British star added a Burberry Prorsum patent leather belt for a touch of Brit spirit.

Whilst colour-blocking is on trend, the two things that kill this look for me are as follows:

The Pants: They are too long. I don’t understand why people like to wear pants that drag along the floor like that.

The Belt: I really don’t like the turquoise with the orange and purple. It was one colour too much in this look.

What do you think of Cheryl’s first X Factor US look?

Paula Abdul is the second female judge.

She also arrived wearing purple opting for a YSL draped silk-satin dress with YSL Tribute sandals, as she cozied up to Simon Cowell for the photocall.

It will be very interesting to see how the dynamics of this relationship work. Cheryl and Paula are both used to being Simon’s favourite.

Being Simon’s favourite all depends on where you sit. Sharon Osbourne was moved from sitting next to Simon, for Dannii Minogue, who was then moved down for Cheryl Cole.

I wonder who’s got the hot seat this time.

Jessica Alba In Diane von Furstenberg – Baby2Baby Event

Celebrity mothers Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie attended The Baby2Baby event held at The Palihouse Holloway in West Hollywood, California yesterday.

Jessica opted for an all black look, but added a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Keyroon’ blazer from the Spring 2011 collection.

The white blazer has an elaborate swirling gold detail which helps add a touch of pizzazz to her look.

Nicole showed that she’s still a boho chick a heart by adding a House of Harlow five-strand headpiece to her black velvet dress.

A snake-skin clutch and nude peep-toes completed her look.

The Red Ball

Diane von Furstenberg hosted the Red Ball at Zhang Huan’s studio in Shanghai, China yesterday to celebrate the opening of her “Journey of a Dress” exhibition at the PACE gallery.

Jessica Alba and Ziyi Zhang attended both wearing Diane von Furstenberg sequin dresses.

Jessica’s dress, which proudly display’s her growing baby bump has a sexy draped neckline and a side split.

Sleek locks and a Diane von Furstenberg Lytton clutch completed her look.

Ziyi Zhang opted for a lush forest green sequinned dress with a plunging neckline and slightly padded shoulders.

I would die for Ziyi Zhang’s dress. The colour is breath-taking on her.

Yasmin Le Bon In Diane von Furstenberg & Amber Le Bon In Jonathan Saunders

The second Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours showcased an extraordinary collection of India’s unique Classic Cars on Saturday at The Polo Grounds, New Delhi.

Jury Member Yasmin Le Bon and daughter Amber soaked up the atmosphere at the event.

The weather looks absolutely divine. I’m so jealous.

Yasmin kept cool wearing a Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011 one-shoulder silk print dress with gold peep-toes.

Her daughter – who could easily pass as her sister – opted for a Jonathan Saunders sleeveless print dress with a side split from the Resort 2011 collection, which she teamed with some cool shades.

The mother and daughter have height, beauty, perfect olive skin, brunette locks and great taste in clothes in common.

Don’t you just hate them? j/k
