Nikki Reed In Prabal Gurung & Brittany Snow In Duro Olowu - Vogue 'Triple Threats' Dinner

Patterns and prints definitely proved to be the evening’s main dish at Vogue’s ‘Triple Threat’ dinner, hosted last week by Sally Singer and Lisa Love, at Goldie’s in Los Angeles.

Two more examples of the trend du jour were PYTs Nikki Reed and Brittany Snow, who posed together in their power prints—each with tousled bobs, perfectly shorn for spring.

Nikki wore a short-sleeve Prabal Gurung frock, featuring an exploded, abstract blue-lily design that looked everything like a high-fashion Rorschach test.

Her Manolo Blahnik black sling-backs could have been more interesting, but they did let the dress do all the talking. I would love to see the Prada necklace when it’s not lost in the shuffle of a trippy floral kaleidoscope print.

As for Brittany, her Duro Olowu printed design was chaotic and cool with its strong nod to Jackson Pollock. The bold tea-length dress was toned down with simple gold sandals by Aquazurra and a pale-pink DVF clutch.

Even though the denim jacket paid homage to Triple Threat’s sartorial theme, I would have left this uninspired version at home.

That punchy red-orange lip may have been my favorite addition to this look.

You can buy Brittany’s Citizens of Humanity ‘Borderline’ jacket from
Revolve Clothing, Bloomingdale’s, Bloomingdales UK and Piperlime.

Keira Knightley made a guest appearance on the ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ show, taped at the Rockefeller Center in New York City yesterday evening.

The British actress was not only there to promote her new movie ‘Anna Karenina’, but she also squared off with Jimmy in a guessing game that tested their musical prowess, as they played songs on random instruments.

Opting not to wear one of her favoured brands (Valentino or Chanel); she wore a Duro Olowu Spring 2013 dress.

The Nigerian-born, London-based designer is known for his powerful patchwork, and his disciplined eye for splicing bold prints together.

This was put on full display with this beautiful dress which Keira styled with Bottega Veneta platform shoes.

As a lover of bold prints I’m salivating over this look, but I have a feeling this will not be favoured by everyone one. The only thing I don’t like are those heavy platforms.

Do you like this change of pace from Keira? Or is there too much print going on for your liking?
