Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 31 March

This past weekend’s iHeartRadio Music Awards and Jameson Empire Awards brought out a range of ensembles from the boys. Here, a look at their entrances.

Nick Jonas: Before performing ‘Chains’ at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (March 29), the singer hit the red carpet in a Valentino Fall 2015 suit. There’s no denying he looked sharp, even if the festive red plaid reminded me of the fall season rather than spring. No matter, suave style is always in season.

Henry Cavill: The actor paired that beard with a slick three-piece Tom Ford gray suit, white dress shirt and thick black tie at the Jameson Empire Awards at London’s Grosvenor House on Sunday (March 29). It was a solid look, with the small addition of the pocket square adding a nice final touch.

Justin Timberlake: As winner of the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the entertainer stood out in a bright blue Versace suit paired with a black patterned Versace dress shirt with Medusa gold detailing and black Versace dress shoes. I love seeing this electric shade on the red carpet; I just wish his pants were better tailored—and less crumpled.

Rihanna In Dsquared² – Out In Paris

Rihanna In Dsquared² - Out In Paris

Rihanna is currently in Paris, France, where she is filming a new music video. On Tuesday (March 10) she was spotted leaving her hotel, where she was greeted by legions of her fans.

The singer wore a casual look from multiple collections.

Her shearling-lined leather Dsquared2 Fall 2015 coat is perhaps the hero piece of this look, which she wore with an Anthony Vaccarello sweater and boyfriend jeans, but my eyes instantly fell on her accessories, most notably the Simone Rocha feather-trim mules, which look more like slippers than streetwear, and the new Chanel ‘Girl’ bag, inspired by the brand’s iconic suit jacket.

I love the selection of rings and Adam Selman x Le Specs sunglasses, but the Jennifer Fisher reverse choker was overkill.

Men 25 Feb

Between premieres and the Elle Style Awards, there was a lot of man candy on the red carpet last night.

Will Smith: Looking as sharp as ever, the actor joined his wife Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet for the ‘Focus’ LA premiere wearing a striped three-piece suit working a divine combo of navy and lilac.

Lewis Hamilton: The Formula 1 racing driver wore a rich burgundy suit from Marni’s Spring 2015 collection, taking styling notes from Tinie Tempah and opting for cropped trousers that showed off his Cesare Casadei black moccasins. I’m not sure if this looks cool or comical. Cool from the calves up methinks.

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other celebs who attended the Vanity Fair celebration of Young Hollywood held at No Vacancy on Tuesday (February 17) in Los Angeles, California.

Courtney Eaton: The young actress, dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Resort 2015, was one of the few to pique my interest at this event. Contemporary and colourful in design, this look wasn’t as predictable as the others.

Emily Ratajkowski: Speaking of predictable, the ‘Gone Girl’ actress served up a gorgeous eggplant Cushine et Ochs Pre-Fall 2015 jumpsuit, which of course featured cut-outs, styled with a Lee Savage ‘180 Stack’ clutch and silver Brian Atwood ‘Melly’ pumps.

Sarah Hyland: The ‘Modern Family’ star decided to take a more prim approach, which for me isn’t a great representation of her usual style, but I don’t hate the Dsquared² look. I perhaps like her accessories, which included Nicholas Kirkwood pumps and a Charlotte Olympia clutch, more than her dress though.

Rita Ora In Dsquared² – GQ Celebrates The Grammys With Giorgio Armani

Rita Ora In Dsquared² - GQ Celebrates The Grammys With Giorgio Armani

Rita Ora attended the GQ and Giorgio Armani Grammys After Party held at the Hollywood Athletic Club on Sunday (February 8) in Hollywood, California.

It would appear that many of you, like me, expected so much more from Rita at the Grammy Awards, so this festive look goes some way to banishing that disappointment.

On this occasion she went for colour and flair, wearing a Dsquared² flower-print Pre-Fall 2015 dress possessing everything we expect from the singer: flamboyance and sass appeal.

The length is uber short, but my eyes fell firmly on her highlighter-yellow Giuseppe Zanotti Design knotted sandals, which really elevated the look.

Janelle Monae In Moschino & Dsquared² – Roc Nation Pre-GRAMMY Brunch & Pre-Grammy Gala

Janelle Monae In Moschino & Dsquared² - Roc Nation Pre-GRAMMY Brunch & Pre-Grammy Gala

Janelle Monae attended both the Roc Nation Pre-GRAMMY Brunch and the Pre-GRAMMY Gala and Salute To Industry Icons honouring Martin Bandier on Saturday (February 7) in Los Angeles, California were the focus of both looks were her wide brim hats designed by Milner Gladys Tamez.

Roc Nation Pre-GRAMMY Brunch: The singer injected a rare touch of colour to her look via her red hat and red Swarovski clutch breaking up the monochrome-ness of her polka dot suit, which on this occasion was created by Moschino. I love that she took the dotage a bit further via her Rene Caovilla pumps. Doves by Doron Paloma ring, a Borgioni ring, and a Carrera y Carrera ring complete her look.

Pre-GRAMMY Gala: The second look was classic Monae. A sharp Dsquared2 suit with a bow tie was anything but classic. She always finds a way to make her staple feel fresh and new with unique twists. Guys could learn a thing or two from her. Styled with an Edie Parker clutch and silver strappy sandals, she once again completed her look with a red lip.

Janelle served up two great looks here, but I can’t help but fall for the fun nature of the first look.
