Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It seems like this moment has been building up forever, but the cast of Twilight were finally all together on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′ last night.

As the gorgeous face of Donna Karan, Ashley Greene was always going to take to the red carpet in a look by the designer.

This was true as she glided down the red carpet wearing a custom gown.

Her fiery red lace strapless gown with spiralling chiffon strips was the perfect look for the actress.

This is the second time I have adored her on the red carpet, and as if by coincidence it’s the second time she’s worn a custom Donna Karan dress.

This pairing looks to be a match made in fashion heaven.

A glossy rich lip and nail colour complemented her gown whilst wavy curls tumbled down her shoulders.

Hopefully there are many more custom Donna Karan looks to come from Ashley.

Kerry Washington was the belle of the ball at last night’s Keep a Child Alive Ball in New York City.

The actress donned a modern fairytale Donna Karan Resort 2011 dress.

Her white tulle dress with asymmetrical white frayed strips was paired with some unsuitable, yet predictable, accessories.

I’m thankful she didn’t opt for the Hollywood standard, but these nude pumps just scream safe, whilst her clutch hollers wrong choice.

Her dress is stunning, so it should’ve been accessorised better.

I love the hair, but for the third time in a row I’m not favouring her lip colour.

This is Kerry’s third look this week.

Which was your favourite?

Ashley Greene attended the Avon Foundation For Women Global Voices For Change Gala in New York City last night.

My first reaction to her in this custom Donna Karan dress was, ‘This is more like it’.

Finally a spark, a genuine smile, some personality and some va va voom.

The electric-blue one-shoulder satin dress with a gathered detail at the hip also and also has a thigh-high split. It’s an amazing silhouette which shows off her figure to perfection.

Her hair was styled into loose pin curls to give an old Hollywood flavour, and she added a soft pink lip colour.

Kwiat vintage jewels and black accessories including Casadei pumps completed the look.

I would complain about the slightly uninspiring accessories, but she made such a huge effort in every other department that it would just be nit-picking on a much improved look.

Michael Michele joined many other stars on the red carpet for the New York premiere of ‘The Ides Of March’ last night.

The actress looked lovely wearing a Donna Karan Resort 2012 dress.

Her draped white one-shoulder dress is divine, but she gets no points for following the look book.

Whilst the oversized neckpiece paints an interesting picture on the model, I find it overwhelming on the red carpet.

Her YSL Tribtoos are a tad heavy for this look too.

There was no question that Nina Dobrev was the best dressed this week.

She looked stunning wearing a Donna Karan scarlet gown to the 2011 Emmy Awards.

“The Vampire Diaries” actress rarely stands out on the red carpet, but on this occasion she left more established actresses in the shade.

Her gown could’ve overwhelmed her, but she worked it like Megan Fox (sans pout).

Leighton Meester was my second favourite.

WHAT a knock out.

This is how you kick start the 2011 Emmy Awards.

Usually we have to wait a while for a magic moment, but Nina Dobrev served up a stunning red Donna Karan Resort 2012 gown right from the start.

I’m not usually a fan of Nina’s one-trick pony style, but she will most definitely book herself a place on the Best Dressed list, which I can confidently say after only seeing a few looks.

In black the strapless gown is so so, in red…I die.

Side swept glossy locks, a stunning silver Neil Lane necklace, Brian Atwood heels and clutch completed the look.

This is the one to beat.
