Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Christa B. Allen attended the American Red Cross Annual Red Tie Affair in Santa Monica on Saturday evening.

The ‘Revenge’ actress supported the organization in a tea-length Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 dress with origami-like folding details on the bust line.

Playing up the dress’ vintage quality, Christa accessorized with a vintage Hermes belt and vintage YSL earrings, both from Decades.

Black Christian Louboutin heels and a gold Judith Leiber clutch and a side swept ponytail completed the look.

As gorgeous as Scarlett Johansson looked on the red carpet for ‘The Avengers’ in Hollywood, California last night, Cobie Smulders did one better.

The actress upstaged her co-star by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing a Donna Karan Spring 2012 dress.

Even with the modified plunging neckline, the actress still set temperatures soaring.

Her sleeveless patchwork gown with copper and black sequined embellishments was styled with loose wavy tumbling locks and a crystallized copper clutch.

Cobie lived up to her name by smouldering on the red carpet.

She was easily my favourite on the red carpet at this event as she books herself a place in the BDOTW list.

Allison Williams was out celebrating her new HBO TV series ‘Girls’ at the premiere in New York City last night.

This time she opted for the standard celebrity Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps, but my attention is fully fixed on her Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 strapless frock.

Her white dress with a black bow and tulip skirt is a chic, elegant look for this premiere.

Had she swapped the pumps for sandals I would’ve been head over heels in love, but she looks pretty nonetheless.

Gorgeous long brunette waves, a silver cocktail ring and neutral makeup completed her look.

Rose McGowan was in Vienna, Austria, this weekend to take in the glitz and glamour of the annual Orange Filmball which celebrates entertainment, dance and song in honour of the Austrian film industry.

The actress wore a Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 strapless black-and-white gown for the occasion.

Her gown provided the perfect modern princess-like look for this grand ball.

Elizabeth Cole earrings added some sparkle while side-swept locks and a bright pink lip colour completed her look.

Donna Karan’s Fall 2012 collection was inspired by Hollywood’s most androgynous icon, Marlene Deitrich.

On a colour palette of grey, red, midnight blue and black the designer served up seductive menswear for the sophisticated and spiritied woman.

The collection started with oversized pinstriped double-breasted coats, impeccably tailored skirts and pant suits, plus smart jackets with asymmetrical black satin panels to replicate cummerbunds.

Feminine pieces like body suits were given masculine touches as they were paired with tapered pants while the dresses had stiff cuffs.

The presentation didn’t solely focus on menswear. Donna Karan eased in some form-fitting dresses and evening gowns.

All the looks were teamed with an array of Stephen Jones hats perched to the side which varied in size, style and colour.

The presentation ended with Whitney Houston’s version of ‘I’m Every Woman’ playing in the background which had everyone singing along.

By everyone, you know I’m excluding Anna Wintour, right?

Front Row: Ashley Greene, Emmy Rossum, Rose McGowan and Adriana Lima

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Evan Rachel Wood, Tilda Swinton, Rose McGowan, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Susan Sarandon, Penelope Cruz, Amber Heard, Rooney Mara, Angeline Jolie, Diane Kruger and Diane Keaton

Katharine McPhee celebrated the premiere of her new show, ‘Smash’, in New York City on Thursday evening with Sarah Jessica Parker.

She wore a black and white Donna Karen Pre-Fall 2012 dress with a navy bow sash.

The voluminous dress pairs well with Katherine’s tousled lob, but for the premiere of her own show, I would have preferred something a little more glitzy and a little less aging.

The show is about Broadway, after all.

A stack of bangles and sapphire drop earrings do help the simple look, though.
