2015 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Glamour Woman of The Year Awards

There were many more lovely ladies besides Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Hudson and Kerry Washington who attended the 2015 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards at Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday (June 2) in London, England.

Gemma Chan: The British actress served up visual splendour wearing an Mary Katrantzou’s intricately printed ‘Cassandra’ dress. I’m glad she kept the spirit of this look alive with a moss-green clutch.

Gillian Anderson: There was a distinct lack of drama at this event, so up stepped Gillian Anderson wearing a nude caped gown by Australian couturier Paolo Sebastian. Some might find this a touch dated, but I’m too busy diverting my eyes away from the upper mid section.

Louise Redknapp: The British presenter usually finds herself at near the top of the my best dressed list, but that wasn’t to be the case on this occasion. While I loved the gorgeous cobalt-blue hue and her breakaway from the expected, this Proenza Schouler basket weave fringe dress fails to flatter, plus her pumps were really dull. The only plus side was the complementary Bottega Veneta clutch.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While tasteless was the dominant trend at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night (May 17), I was grateful to see that a few good men brought some class back to the show. Here, a look at some of the Billboard styles plus a look at the latest round of gentleman at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Matthew McConaughey: His terribly scruffy beard had no place this glossy Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit at ‘The Sea of Trees’ premiere, which he attended with Naomi Watts during the Cannes Film Fest on Saturday (May 16). The nightshade hue of his jacket was divine though. Will the facial hair ever meet a razor.

Nick Jonas
: Also rocking an inspiring eggplant shade, Nick looked mighty fine in his monochromatic Kenzo suit at the Billboard Music Awards, although the pants could have been less slouchy and rumpled. His plus one, Olivia Culpo, was among the girls in sparkly, skin-baring attire, hers a black Elie Saab playsuit that still ranked as more tasteful than some of the other sartorial tragedies of the night.

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana - 'The Sea Of Trees' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Matthew McConaughey joined Naomi Watts at ‘The Sea of Trees’ photocall, held during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 16) in Cannes, France.

With his slate-blue Dolce & Gabbana suit, worn with a half-unbuttoned white dress shirt and a patterned scarf, the actor exuded a relaxed sense of sporty handsomeness that was easy-going without being untidy.

The same thing cannot quite be said about all that hair, though.

I’m still trying—unsuccessfully thus far—to accept his scruffy, mountain-man beard and slicked-back strands, which I had originally hoped would be short-lived, but is turning into a rather long phase.

Diane Kruger kicked off one of her first official appearances at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival at the ‘Maryland’ photocall on Saturday (May 16) in Cannes, France.

Donning a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2015 mini dress in a glorious sky-blue colour, the actress struck a captivating balance between chic sophistication and sprightly charm.

While I’m generally not a fan of too many knick-knacks cluttering a look, on this occasion, the embellished rose and the decorative vintage-inspired buttons at the sleeves and back were a delightfully whimsical addition.

Styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ nude sandals, tousled waves, and a rose-pink lip, this enchanting and effortless entrance was like a breath of fresh sea air.

Colin Farrell joined Rachel Weisz and Lea Seydoux for ‘The Lobster’ photocall during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 15) in Cannes, France.

The Irish actor was looking mighty fine in his Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit; rendered in a breezy light-grey hue. I found this look so very refreshing in light of all the black we have seen during photocalls today.

I love how this look is timelessly elegant, and with Colin’s sartorial styling the look has a very debonair feel.

Charlotte Olympia Dinner

Charlotte Olympia Dinner

Charlotte Olympia Dellal and Liz Goldwyn co-hosted an intimate dinner at The Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday (May 12) in West Hollywood, California, where the accessories were definitely the life of the party.

Charlotte Olympia: The designer and host stood out for all the right reasons in a bright and summery Dolce & Gabbana floral-print frock worn with a pink sweater, Charlotte Olympia ‘Pomeline’ pom-pom sandals, and a Charlotte Olympia ‘Shocking Vanina’ red clutch. The feminine and flirty retro flair of her look was made complete with pin curls and red lip.

Elle Fanning: In light of Charlotte’s radiant ensemble, I was rather indifferent to Elle’s navy Ralph Lauren collared dress. While the Charlotte Olympia ‘Head To Toe’ gold sandals and Charlotte Olympia ‘Anette’ clutch, not to mention the red mani-pedi, attempted to bring more youthful zing to the look, the starlet could have easily had more fun.

Dita von Teese: Dita was the epitome of Dita here in a signature sexy hourglass silhouette, this one a more casual rendition with a white plunge blouse and high-waist black pants. I love that she injected some kitschy spirit into the sophisticated sizzle of the look with Charlotte Olympia ‘Desert Night Meredith’ wedges and Charlotte Olympia ‘Cactus’ clutch. Naturally, the red lip made an appearance, too.

Cat Deeley In Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 FOX Programming Presentation

Cat Deeley In Dolce & Gabbana - 2015 FOX Programming Presentation

Cat Deeley attended the 2015 FOX programming presentation at Wollman Rink in Central Park on Monday (May 11) in New York City.

Known for her play-it-safe style, the TV presenter shook things up when she hit the red carpet wearing this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2015 frock.

Oozing with sensual Sicilian sensibilities this striking fan print silk dress, which appears to have drawn inspiration from flamenco dancers, unearths a love for flair and colour I didn’t know Cat possessed.

My senses would’ve been ignited further had she considered one of the other colour options from her frock, such as pink or orange for shoe choice, however, her black pair don’t pull down the look.
