Ruth Negga In Dolce & Gabbana – Virtuosos Tribute

Ruth Negga joined Janelle Monáe for the Virtuosos Tribute on Saturday (February 4) in Santa Monica.

The all-over lace and heavy-handed lattice and fringe treatment of this Dolce & Gabbana dress could have gone wrong. But the actress lifted the ensemble with her styling.

I love the way her jewel-toned accents included an emerald-hued Edie Parker clutch and earrings along with a ruby lip brought an aura of vibrancy to the look.

Yara Shahidi In Dolce & Gabbana – Harper’s Bazaar Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women

Yara Shahidi was also at Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women on Friday (January 27) in West Hollywood, California.

She was a BDOTW contender last week, and the starlet continues to bloom brightly in a Dolce & Gabbana dress embroidered with dazzling pink flowers.

Her love of floor-length, long-sleeve gowns shows no sign of waning, and it’s nothing short of delightful to see the fresh and youthful personality she brings to them each and every time.

Shailene Woodley In Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana & Salvatore Ferragamo – 2017 Winter TCA Tour & ELLE’s Women in Television

Shailene Woodley was also with Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon on-stage for the ‘Big Little Lies’ panel during the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour on January 11 at the Langham Hotel before attending ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration 2017 on January 14 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California.

2017 Winter TCA Press Tour: The actress wore a Bottega Veneta ensemble that paired a black sheer sweater with a rust suede skirt that was much like a contemporary version of sexy-chic secretary. The styling elements with the metallic wrap sandals and black leather belt really made the look click.

ELLE’s Women in Television: Glam doesn’t always mean gown, as Shailene so effectively demonstrated in this Dolce & Gabbana outfit consisting of wide-leg trousers and matching top, which was so streamlined it could have been mistaken for a jumpsuit. But what made all the difference in the look is her cranberry Salvatore Ferragamo coat, which was all the more relevant because she wore it as a cape and matched her lippie to it.

Zoe Saldana In Dolce & Gabbana & J. Mendel Couture – 2017 Golden Globe Awards & ‘Live by Night’ LA Premiere

Zoe Saldana presented alongside Sienna Miller at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on January 8 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel before once again joining Sienna at the ‘Live by Night’ Los Angeles premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on January 9.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: Zoe was thinking pink on the red carpet, with her girly turn in a Gucci tiered, ruffle gown that was topped off with a version of the bow motif that we’ve recently seen crop up in several other Gucci looks on Emma Stone and Sienna Miller.

Amy Adams In Dolce & Gabbana & Tom Ford – BAFTA Tea Party & 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Amy Adams made an appearance at the BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel on January 7 before attending the 2017 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 8, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in ‘Arrival.’

BAFTA Tea Party: The actress wore a sophisticated twist on an LBD by Dolce & Gabbana that featured the added impact of a sheer lace inset neckline. I applaud her skipping the standard black pump, but the baby-pink version has left me in limbo as to what to make of them. They wouldn’t have been my first or second choice as they almost looked white.

Golden Globe Awards: Perhaps she was channeling her sci-fi film, ‘Arrival,’ with this dark-sequined Tom Ford gown which had somewhat of a futuristic touch in the sculpted bodice and slinky, reflective silhouette.

Kerry Washington in Dolce & Gabbana – 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 8) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where she was nominated for her role on ‘Confirmation.’

However, for the Globes, she played the role of goth golden girl with her Dolce & Gabbana sheer lace, metallic corset dress and dramatic, dark lippie.

The strange black patchwork pin detail at the side was one of the first things that turned me against this ensemble. That was closely followed by the highly visible appearance of what looks like black shapewear under the see-through frock.

The two of those things together completely distracted from the look and tarnished any gold factor.
