Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A trio of men have been making the rounds lately, each with his own version of sophisticated style.

Chris Hemsworth: At the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ New York City screening on Monday (October 30), Chris continued to show his penchant for relaxed-suave appeal in this Dolce & Gabbana suit, yet again skipping a tie in favour of the partially unbuttoned dress shirt.

Eddie Redmayne: It was a Valentino double feature for Eddie and wife, Hannah Bagshawe, at the OMEGA Aqua Terra on Saturday (October 28) in Venice, Italy. He was impossibly dapper in a rich midnight-blue Valentino suit from the Fall 2017 collection that I loved not only for its colour but also for its fresh precision and skinny variation on a bow tie. Hannah, who recently confirmed she’s expecting their second child, was glowing in a Valentino Resort 2018 feminine ruffle dress.

Dakota Fanning In Dolce & Gabbana & No. 21 – Telethon Gala & ‘Please Stand By’ Rome Film Fest Photocall

Dakota Fanning is currently in Italy serving up two amazing looks during the 12th Rome Film Fest for us.

Telethon Gala: I was quite surprised by this blue Dolce & Gabbana high-shine chainmail dress as it feels very dynamic for the usually reserved star. A part of me wishes this was floor-length, however, I do believe the length kept the look relaxed and youthful for Dakota, allowing her to present her brand of glamour with metallic accessories including Giuseppe Zanotti sandals rounding out the look.

Dakota Fanning In Dolce & Gabbana – 5th Annual Save The Children Illumination Gala

Daktoa Fanning joined Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde and Leona Lewis for the 5th Annual Save The Children Illumination Gala on Wednesday (October 18) in New York City.

Dolce & Gabbana knows how to flatter the feminine figure, as proven here with this alluringly beautiful dress.

Infusing this sophisticated style with a dose of fun, the dress sports a love heart ‘Per D&G sempre’ paw print patch at the waist, referencing the designers’ beloved pets to embody the design duo’s playful side.

Bella Heathcote In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ Press Conference

As Bella Heathcote continued promotion for the ‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ film, she was at a press conference last Friday (October 13) in Hollywood.

For the occasion, she wore classic lace—with a twist—in this Dolce & Gabbana two-tone dress that modernized the effect through its fringed, black lace accents.

I would venture to say the embellished T-strap shoes weren’t necessary, but they did contribute a certain level of vintage-inspired charm to the look.

I loved seeing the star let her hair down, so to speak, with the soft romance of her waves and natural makeup to complete the look.

Katherine Langford In Dolce & Gabbana – 6th Annual Australians in Film Award & Benefit Dinner

Katherine Langford joined Abbie Cornish at the 6th Annual Australians in Film Award & Benefit Dinner on Wednesday (October 18) in Los Angeles.

The ’13 Reasons Why’ actress opted for an all-black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble which brought a sensual flair to tailored suiting. The sheer corset with visible boning offset the jacket and pleated skirt.

I can see the potential in this look, but I don’t think things have come together as harmoniously as intended. The proportions of the bustier and skirt are a few inches from being perfect and the draped jacket combined with her flowing hair was a bit too much.

More successful was the red lipstick and green earrings which brought to mind Dolce & Gabbana’s signature glamorous styling.

Mandy Moore In Dolce & Gabbana – Variety New Leaders Event

Mandy Moore stepped out in another bold ensemble, this time attending the Variety New Leaders event on Wednesday (October 18).

The actress has been drawn to bold prints while promoting ‘This Is Us’ and she continued the trend with this Dolce & Gabbana frock. The black background against the bright blooms had a more formal feel, but the dress still had plenty of the designer’s feminine charm thanks to the off-the-shoulder neckline and frilled hem.

John Hardy jewels, Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a red lip help bring together all of the colors in the dress.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Dolce & Gabbana – 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards

Moments of unquestionable glamour always captivate me on the red carpet.

And, that is exactly what Anya Taylor-Joy delivered, in spades, as she joined Hayley Atwell for the 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards on Saturday (October 14).

Glittering from top to toe, she stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that was simple in silhouette, but oh-so-dramatic in effect.

I was entranced by the flared skirt that formed a moderate train behind her—and how the light scintillated against the sea of nearly holographic sequins.

Allowing the sequins to speak for themselves, she finished the look with the alluring side sweep of old-Hollywood waves and minimal jewels.
