‘The Final Girls’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

'The Final Girls' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Malin Akerman, Taissa Farmiga and Nina Dobrev attended the ‘Final Girls’ photocall during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson Theatre on Saturday (September 19) in Toronto, Canada.

Malin Akerman: I know what you’re thinking. This Valentino Spring 2015 gown is mighty dressy for a photocall. For me, that’s the least of Malin’s problems. Not only has it been worn three times before (Shailene Woodley, Fan Bingbing and Olivia Palermo), but the top half is incredibly unflattering.

Taissa Farmiga: The young starlet fared much better in her vivid girlie-chic Dolce & Gabbana macramé-lace pencil dress, even though her shoes were a snooze.

Nina Dobrev: Going against the grain, the actress wore a LBD courtesy of Versace. Translating black, this Fall 2015 green dress incorporates yellow Greek detail accents and cut out detailing for attention-grabbing effect. The look was styled with an Oroton ‘Frieze’ clutch and navy Alexa Wagner sandals.

Do you have a favourite? Or are you too busy thinking about the fact that these ladies look like they’re going to three different events?

Amber Heard In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Black Mass’ Boston Premiere

Amber Heard In Dolce & Gabbana - ‘Black Mass’ Boston Premiere

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp attended the Boston premiere of ‘Black Mass’ at Coolidge Corner Theater on Tuesday (September 15) in Brookline, Massachusetts.

The actress has been front and center during this promo tour, but on this occasion she appeared to take a back-seat.

Keeping her look simple and low-key the actress wore a sharply tailored Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit styled with Brian Atwood ‘Alis’ studded pumps.

Johnny, who has been looking quite dishevelled during this tour, finally got his act together looking pretty sharp in this coral blazer.

2015 Toronto Film Festival Weekend Roundup

The 2015 Toronto International Film Festival red carpet was filled with even more stars this past weekend. Here, a look at the beauties making the rounds at the premieres.

Toni Colette: The actress brought her own sunshine in tow at the ‘Miss You Already’ premiere, where she swept onto the scene in an Oscar de la Renta white shell top and a bustling marigold-yellow skirt hailing from the Resort 2016 collection. I wanted to take a steamer to the skirt and strip that gold cuff away from the look, which was completed with an Edie Parker pearlescent clutch.

Saoirse Ronan: I didn’t find this Chanel Resort 2015 speckled sweater and white trouser combo all that flattering nor all that appropriate as her ‘Brooklyn’ premiere outfit. She finished the casual look with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Jane Fonda: While Saoirse may have seemed underdressed, that same sentiment cannot be said for Jane who pulled out all the stops in a Yves Saint Laurent Couture by Hedi Slimane gold gown styled with an equally golden YSL clutch at the ‘Youth’ premiere. She definitely had the Midas fever.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

From LA, to Venice and London, here’s a roundup of some of our favourite leading men who took to the red carpet this week.

Chris Evans: The actor joined Alice Eve on the red carpet for the ‘Before We Go’ LA premiere on Wednesday (September 2). Offering up a dark, enchanting lustrous vision in Dolce & Gabbana, the actor styled his look with brown Louboutins and an IWC timepiece.

Joel Edgerton: The actor attended the premiere for ‘Black Mass’ during the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Friday (September 4). I love how Joel exhibits admirable refinement in his Alfred Dunhill tux styled with Louis Leeman shoes and Jaeger LeCoultre timepiece

Tom Hardy: The star of ‘Legend’ was joined by Emily Browning on the red carpet on Thursday (September 3) for the London premiere. The handsome actor played down his bad boy charm looking very dapper in a navy Alexander McQueen three-piece suit.

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana - 'Everest' Venice Film Festival & Opening Ceremony

Elizabeth Banks returned to the red carpet for the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2).

As I said in the previous post, I have longed for Elizabeth to grace the European film festival stage, so picture me almost shedding tears of joy and pure adulation at seeing my girl look breath-taking in Dolce & Gabbana tonight.

Yes, those ripples on the waist are preventing this from being a perfect 10, and yes those black ribbons at the back are far from ideal, but the gown fits like a glove.

Styled with a Dolce & Gabbana clutch, Kwiat earrings and a Harry Kotlar ring, Elizabeth was serving up nothing but movie star glamour. And that’s all I ask for.
