On The Gossip Girl Set With Leighton Meester Wearing D&G

In the UK we are slightly behind the US on Gossip Girl, so this week episode 21 of season 2 titled “Seder Anything” was aired.

The episode shows Serena returning from her trip to Spain. Blair making a secret deal with Nate’s grandfather and Dan taking a job to earn money for college.

Leighton Meester’s character Blair Waldorf wore this gorgeous pink and black floral D&G silk organza halter dress in one of her scenes with Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald.

The dress is so floaty and feminine with it’s ruffled trimmed collar and flounce hem.

You too can channel your inner Blair Waldorf by buying this dress from Revolve Clothing for $945/£578.19.

D&G’s Pre-Fall 2009 Collection, Will Bring Out The Social Butterfly In You

The newest additions to Net-A-Porter D&G range are all adorned with butterflies, as this was the inspiration behind the collection.

“If you aspire to be this year’s social butterfly but want to avoid the tedious small talk that goes with it, you can make an impact with a stunning D&G Pre-Fall piece that screams charm and elegance instead.”

The collection also has accessories including butterfly shaped sunglasses, and butterfly adorned shoes.

We’ve already seen these butterflies on the red carpet, as actress Tamsin Egerton wore a D&G silk bustier dress to the Royal Academy of Art Exhibition, which I have added to my favourites this week.

Her dress was worn with black heels, embellished with contrasting butterflies to complete the dainty look.

Winona Ryder wore a butterfly embellished corseted dress on the cover of Elle UK, so the look is already catching on.

I’m guessing Mariah Carey will be all over this.

2009 Cannes Film Festival – Dolce & Gabbana Party

Kylie Minogue would’ve been the stand out guest, arriving wearing a hot pink strapless Dolce & Gabbana ruched cocktail dress with an embellished belt, and gold heels.

Love the colour and the confident sassy strut.

Eva Herzigova wore black sheer and lace sleeveless Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 dress with ruffled straps and a sheer front panel.

The straps have been replace by the runway sleeves, but this modification makes the dress even more sexier.

Eva completes the look with black peep-toes, which are trimmed with lace.

Of all the looks Peaches Geldof has sported at Cannes, I love this one.

It much more her style, than those gowns she has been wearing.

This silver ruched Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress is very much like Kylie’s dress, but with square paillette detailed pom pom sleeves.

It must have been a busy night because the hair, earrings and make-up all remain the same, from her previous events.

Lucky girl.

I believe this is the image they should put in a dictionary to describe ‘death warmed up’.

Pixie Geldof’s being pale is not the issue, its that heavy make-up which is so garish.

I do like her navy and white anchor print plunging halter D&G Spring 2009 gown, just not on her but I’m glad she opted out of the pleated gold lame fan pieces.

If you hate this look, it could’ve been worse because she was spotted at Dolce & Gabbana’s store in London trying on an animal print gown.

Olivia Palermo decided to ignore the unwritten rule of courtesy, by wearing a light blue off-the-shoulder dress not designed by her hosts.

Looking through the Dolce & Gabbana collection, I struggled to find a piece that I could’ve pictured her wearing, so I guess she made the right choice.

I adore the colour on her.  It’s a very pretty dress which she accessorizes with silver jewels.

Of course she is wearing her favourite YSL tribute sandals.

I guess she only packed one pair of heels for this trip.

Kerry Washington wore a Dolce & Gabbana silver cocktail dress with exaggerated off the shoulder sleeves.

Again, this is not a favourite Kerry look for me.

Dita Von Teese sticks to her trademark polished style wearing a black sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress, with exaggerated sleeves.

Her elbow-length lace gloves adding an extra touch of glamour, whilst her make-up was flawless and her necklace was striking.

Claudia Schiffer wore a black strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown with a black clutch, black peep-toes, and a single gold bracelet.

I know Carine Roitfeld is a style maven to many of you, so all I will say about this look is we all have our bad days.

Who Wore D&G Better? Katy Perry or Alexander Burke

Katy Perry was in Milan to attend the D&G Spring 2009 show back in September, before heading over to the design duo’s showroom to perform a showcase of her songs.

She was sporting a cute nautical dress from D&G’s Spring 2009 collection, with matching heels, and a big red corsage, channeling her usual retro glam.

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, wore the same D&G dress to the 2009 Elle Style Awards. The singer was less adventurous with her look, sporting all black accessories, and losing the red corsage, so Katy wins for me.

Runway To "Grand Palais Museum" – Lady GaGa In D&G

Either she loves to express herself with fashion, or she’s loving the attention, either way Lady Gaga is always very entertaining to watch.

She has been whipping up a storm in Europe, with her barely there ensembles, eye-poking hats, and china doll make-up inspired by the Christian Dior Fall 2009 collection.

Earlier today, she was spotted taking in the sights of Paris, wearing a strapless satin quilted D&G Fall 2009 mustard dress, when visiting the Grand Palais museum, to see the exhibition of Andy Warhol.

I will guess when she entered, no one was looking at the exhibition, and all eyes were on her.

Her look was completed with sky-high heels, which Victoria Beckham would scratch Lady GaGa’s eyes out for, a well place D&G clutch, and a houndstooth umbrella, which could be from the Alexander McQueen Fall 2009 collection.

I love this picture. The caption writes itself.

“Does my bum look big in this?”

Dita von Teese Goes Cheap & Chic To The Coachella Music Festival

Dita Von Teese sported a very casual – for her – look this weekend, when she joined many music lovers at the Coachella music festival.

On the second day she was seen wearing a Moschino Cheap and Chic Spring 2008 white and red circle print sleeveless dress with a ruched bottom.

The dress is gorgeous, but the surprise here was wedged heels. Yes they are perfect for the occasion, considering she would have been walking over grass, but the surprise is to see Dita sans Louboutin’s or Dior heels.

The major surprise was on the first day when Dita wore FLATS.

OMG. Not just any old flats, but Keds flats.

First Victoria Beckham in flip flops, now this. Lol.

Her hair was still perfectly coiffed, as the wore a cute nautical print D&G dress with sailor collar, and retro shades.

I applaud her for coming out of her comfort-zone. Couldn’t have been easy.
