Who Wore David Koma Better? Elodie Yung or Lindsey Morgan?

Elodie Yung and Lindsey Morgan both wore their David Koma dress in very different ways.

Back in April, Elodie took the less is more approach to the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ LA premiere going au natural with her hair and makeup, whereas Lindsay’s look was all about full on glamour with luscious waves and deep coral pout during Comic-Con.

When it comes to repeated looks, I always first look at the shoes.

On this occasion Linsday wins for her complementary pair of silver sparklers. Elodie beige pair don’t work for me at all.

Comic-Con 2017 Weekend Roundup

A constellation of more stars were at Comic-Con 2017 in San Diego, California throughout this past weekend.

Naomi Watts: Attending the ‘Twin Peaks: A Damn Good Panel,’ Naomi played to a vintage spirit in this Roksanda Resort 2018 colour-block design. Perhaps it was the combination of hues that had somewhat of an aging effect on her.

Krysten Ritter: Taking a graphic, black-and-white approach, Krysten was at ‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ press line in a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 dress. I love the striking attitude of the look in partnership with her ruby-red lip and Kurt Geiger booties for a touch of rebel edge.

Kaley Cuoco: This exploded Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 pinstripe shirt dress translated more like an afterthought with the slouchy, undone front and the head-scratching, chunky shoes when Kaley stopped by ‘The Big Bang Theory’ panel.

Sofia Carson In David Koma – ‘Despierta America’

Sofia Carson was at ‘Despierta America’ to promote the Disney film, ‘Descendants 2,’ on Tuesday (July 18) in Miami, Florida.

While her last ‘Descendants’ promo look resonated as a bit dated, that would not be the case with this sleeker David Koma Spring 2017 offering.

Clean, chic lines dominated the button-studded midi dress.

Sure, it would have ended on a more sophisticated note should she have worn a simple sandal. But, I can only surmise that the chunky, black platform heels were selected for a quirky, youthful finish.

Hailey Baldwin In Alexandre Vauthier Couture & David Koma – 2017 Maxim Hot 100 Party & 2017 NBA Awards

Hailey Baldwin has graced a number of the hottest events in the last few days with appearances at both the 2017 Maxim Hot 100 Party in LA on Saturday (June 24), and the 2017 NBA Awards on Monday (June 26) in New York.

Maxim Hot 100 Party: More is more seemed to be the model’s ethos (or less is less if you consider the hemline) as she amped up the sex appeal donning an Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2017 Couture backless dress. I particularly love the draping and the back of this look which feels coquettish and crisp. I don’t mind the length at all, but the pewter sandals prevent me loving this entirely.

2017 NBA Awards: The interesting cut-out design on this David Koma Fall 2017 dress is not for the shy and retiring. Hailey wore her look with unabashed confidence and charisma. I love the powerful feel to the gold and black hues, especially when paired with the Vita Fede two-tone hoop earrings. This risqué look may not be to everybody’s taste, but from her tousled hair to her unapologetically high Charlotte Olympia pumps, Hailey committed to this look.

Suki Waterhouse In David Koma – ‘The Bad Batch’ LA Premiere

Suki Waterhouse oozed utilitarian chic at the premiere of ‘The Bad Batch’ on Monday (June 19) in Los Angeles, California.

I love the olive green colour of her David Koma Fall 2017 dress which was paired with some black ribbon details which call to mind camouflage, but in a very fashionable – and sultry – way.

The strictness of the structure feels masculine but is softened by the feminine flared hem and the built-in bra and mini skirt layer, bringing a perfect balance to this look.

I love the designer’s vision of an edgier look, however, Suki swapped the runway lace-up boots for strappy heels and the sleek straight hairstyle for a wavy one, yet still possessed a military mood.

Are you onboard with Suki’s interpretation?
