Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2012

For Cushnie et Ochs’ Fall 2012 collection, Carly Cushnie & Michelle Ochs were inspired by Pedro Almodovar’s The Skin I Live In- the story about a surgeon’s obsession with creating a protective second skin immune to damage.

Their femme fatale collection didn’t stray far away from their signature body-con dresses punctuated with modern details such as sexy cut-outs, zipper accents and zigzag seaming.

They did experiment this season with draping and separates which including leather pants paired with a fur trim coat and black top with a silver fitted skirt.

I was delighted to see more colour in this collection with pops of cobalt blue and green, with the rest of the colour palette including their favourite colours, black and silver plus ecru.

Liya Kebede In Cushnie et Ochs – 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards

Liya Kebede attended the 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards at the Skylight SoHo in New York City last night.

The supermodel looked outstanding in top-to-toe yellow.

She also donned a Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012 look. If only Olivia Wilde had been so bold.

Sporting lacquered locks she shone wearing a yellow sharply cut tailored jacket, with a matching blouse and flared skirt.

When it comes to her accessories, the black clutch fades into the background, but the yellow sandals stand out.

Stylish and beautiful sans makeup. I’m so jealous right now.

Olivia Wilde In Cushnie et Ochs – 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Olivia Wilde took to the red carpet in New York last night for the 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards.

She wore a Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012 dress.

Her flirty haltered black cotton eyelet dress with a keyhole detail was paired with black pointy pumps (two sizes too big), a black velvet clutch and a black cuff.

With an ATL (attempt to locate) out on her red carpet mojo, this look once again falls flat on Olivia.

I think just one interesting accessory would’ve made this look more appealing.

Sweeping bangs, cat-eyes and nude glossy lips completed her look.

Reese Witherspoon In Cushnie et Ochs – LACMA’s Art and Film Gala

Reese Witherspoon opted for a head-to-toe black ensemble at LACMA’s Art and Film Gala on Saturday night.

The actress always embodies sophistication and elegance – and this was no exception.

Reese opted for a black one-shoulder Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2012 dress.

What stops this frock from being a snooze was the sexy keyhole detail.

She accessorized the look with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, black satin Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ heels and a matching Louboutin clutch.

Two diamond bracelets and matching stud earrings added just the right amount of sparkle to the look.

Reese balanced off the subtle sexiness of the dress with a cute ballerina bun and soft, natural makeup.

Her overall look wasn’t wow-worthy, but then again it’s been a very long time since Reese wowed us on the red carpet.

Lake Bell In Cushnie et Ochs – “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy” LA Screening

Lake Bell was smoldering hot on the red carpet at the LA screening for “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy” last night.

The brunette actress opted to wear a very sexy Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2011 LBD.

Her black stretch moiré dress with elastic boning details and a central split was teamed with a gold crystal cuff, a box clutch and Ferragamo Fall 2011 top-cap pumps.

Shoerazzi rightly predicted that toe-cap pumps would become a red carpet trend.

I love that these heels have the Fall 2011 signature houndstooth prints on the sole.

Lake thankfully wore her hair up, but the style is more ‘just out of the shower’ rather than being red carpet ready.

Are you having a deja vu moment?

That’s because Miss Kelly Rowland wore the same dress almost exactly one month ago.

A soft nude lip colour looks like the only touch of make-up to grace Lake’s flawless skin.
