Taylor Swift In Contrarian New York - Dinner at The Farm

Taylor Swift was spotted having dinner at The Farm in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday.

The songstress, who will be presenting at the VMAs on Sunday, looked super cute wearing a Contrarian ‘Colette’ v-back dress with a sweet strawberry print with a fit-and-flare silhouette.

Rose-pink bow-front Kate Spade New York ‘Kalle’ wedges, a Lauren Merkin ‘Stevie’ equestrian-style shoulder bag and black Ray-ban wayfarers accessorized her look, with her signature red lippie and a half-up, half-down style completing her look.

Victoria Justice looked to be in very high spirits as she took to the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. live for the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday evening.

She posed on the red carpet wearing a bright orange Contrarian New York.

Her ‘Highland’ backless halter silk maxi dress from the Resort 2013 collection was simply styled with a beautiful gold crystal Oroton ‘Opera’ mini hobo clutch and Swarovski jewels which included a gold armlet.

A loose updo, stunning smile and glossy lip provided the finishing touches.

Nikki Reed took to the pink carpet at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday in Universal City, California.

She kept it simple by wearing a Contrarian New York look which featured a navy satin v-neck corset with a gathered black silk skirt.

Whilst I’m not at all excited about the top and skirt, I loved her accessories: a silver glitter Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch and gold Brian Atwood ‘Karin’ platform peep-toe sandals attempted to liven up the look.

Ista, Sorelina and Bing Bang jewels, a Dana Rebecca Designs ‘Carly Michelle’ ring plus a bouffant ponytail provided the finishing touches to her sweet-yet-boring look for her Teen Choice Awards.

I wish she’d had more fun with the look. A more vibrant colour combination would’ve been preferred.

Yesterday, Freida Pinto hosted theFlaunt Magazine and Agave Denim ‘All Wraped Up In Blue’ dinner at Sherbourne in Los Angeles.

The stunning actress wore a Contrarion New York top and A-line skirt, topped off with a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps.

It’s always hard to find fault with someone as stunning as Pinto, but this ensemble isn’t doing her justice.

The gorgeous red tone of her Contrarion skirt is played down by the black and white top, and the two components of the look fail to achieve any kind of harmony. The bow on her top only makes the rest of the outfit appear costume-y and thus, her gorgeous, classic shoes are lost in translation.

The one good thing I can say about this look is that Pinto left the jewelry at home — with two strong competing colours, it would have been distracting to throw adornments into the mix.

If Pinto did want to do red and black, a top sans bow would have been preferable, and I would have liked to see a more feminine cut with some shoulder details to add a little intrigue into the mix.

Do you agree? Or are you a fan of Freida Pinto’s look?

Taylor Swift celebrated the launch of her new debut fragrance ‘Wonderstruck’ at Sephora Americana in Glendale, California yesterday.

The singer wore a Contrarian ‘Byrdie’ silver metallic party frock with a plunging v back, and a flirty bow detail.

Taylor styled her look with glittering Jimmy Choo ‘Vita’ peep-toes and a wavy, chic ‘do.

She traded her signature red lips for hot pink lips on this occasion.

The look is not embellished, but it does shimmer.

Does Taylor get your seal of approval for this look?

Taylor Swift picked this pretty Contrarian ‘Barbara Bibb’ dress to attend Brooke and Dunn’s ‘The Last Rodeo’ in Las Vegas back in May.

The cute lavender dress features a deep V-neck, silk sash belt and ruffled trim around the hem.

Taylor kept her look simple, accessorizing with her trademark ringlet curls and metallic silver peep-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

Katie Holmes chose the same dress to wear to the 2011 LA Film Festival “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark” Premiere.

The actress chose a navy blue version of the dress and paired the look with Lanvin tan T-strap pumps, a gold Jennifer Meyer “S” pendant necklace, a horseshoe charm bracelet and pearl stud earrings.

Katie finished her look with lightly smoky eyes, pink lipstick and glossy straight hair.

I’m slightly torn on this one as I love the lavender version on Taylor but adore Katie’s chic, sophisticated look – especially her gorgeous heels and pretty jewelry.

My vote is going to Katie as I much prefer her accessories and the elegant look she went for, plus I think this look is nothing new or exciting on Taylor.
