‘Black Panther’ New York Screening Red Carpet Roundup

More ladies joined Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira for the final leg of the ‘Black Panther’ promo tour at the film’s New York screening on Tuesday (February 13).

Joan Smalls: In a head-to-toe Tom Ford Spring 2018 look, the model was giving us a power suit—done in such an alluring, modern way with the jumpsuit and blazer combo. I loved the subtle seduction of this look, with the pink toe-cap heels to add an element of sass.

Letitia Wright: The patchwork, folk-rock influences of the COACH Pre-Fall 2018 collection were loud and proud in this eclectic mashup of a look that is a bit of an acquired taste in its completely disparate, quirky pieces. I’m still trying to find the rhyme and reason to it.

Zosia Mamet: I liked the styling of this Monse Spring 2018 cropped sweater on the runway, with the fringed skirt. With the windowpane, super-long trousers, it made less sense. David Yurman jewels completed the look that had me wishing for a more cohesive flourish to round out the screening.

Lucy Hale In Coach – Lunch Celebrating Minnie’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Lucy Hale attended a lunch celebrating Minnie Mouse’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame along with the launch of the Disney x Coach collection, held at LA’s Chateau Marmont on Monday (January 22).

I didn’t know what to expect with this new collaboration, but I found myself thoroughly charmed by both Minnie Mouse and Lucy Hale.

Minnie was the perfect brand ambassador in a custom-embellished prairie dress with sequined polka dots and a leather Disney x Coach moto jacket, designed by Coach’s Creative Director, Stuart Vevers.

As for Lucy, I was surprised at how much I loved her look from head to toe, as even though there was a lot going on, it was so chicly put together.

She also wore a Disney x Coach varsity jacket, emblazoned with fun patches, and it just added the right amount of edge to the cuter sensibility of her Coach Spring 2018 heart-printed top and patterned skirt.

Even the heavy platform shoes made perfect sense here to complete this interpretation on a preppy, pretty, cool-girl look.

Entertainment Weekly’s Screen Actors Guild Awards Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

The stars came out in full force for Entertainment Weekly’s Screen Actors Guild Awards Celebration on Saturday (January 20).

Crystal Reed: There’s a lot to love about Crystal’s Dion Lee Spring 2018 look, but the pleated skirt steal the show for me. I love the overlay that gives it a dual-color effect.

Tommy Dorfman: I’ve always been wholly on-board with Tommy’s obvious love of fashion and willingness to experiment, but I literally can’t even with this. I feel like the entire thing is just trying too hard, and is completely unflattering.

Sarah Hyland: This velvet and satin asymmetrical Self Portrait Fall 2017 gown is as fun and perky and Sarah herself. And us usual, Sarah’s hair and makeup team knocked it out of the park.

Tessa Thompson In Ellery, Coach & Lingua Franca – Sundance Film Festival

Tessa Thompson has also been at the Sundance Film Festival, where she attended Twitter and ARRAY’s #HereWeAre brunch at the #TwitterLodge on Friday (January 19) in Park City, Utah. And, earlier today (January 20), she was bundled up at the Respect Rally there.

#HereWeAre Brunch: What I love about Tessa is that when she wears a trend-forward look, she fully commits to it. That was ever so the case in this burnt-orange Ellery Resort 2018 vinyl look, styled with a floral silk blouse, that had retro undertones of the ’70s. Some may have left it at that, but she brought in more mod flavour with those Solace London ‘Sawyer’ shoes from the Spring 2018 collection. You’ll likely remember the white version of the sculptural shoes that she wore last month—and that Rita Ora wore this Ellery trench, too.

Respect Rally: Sweet—and statement-making—Tessa donned the timely and event-appropriate Lingua Franca ‘Times Up’ sweater with a furry, plush Coach jacket to stay warm in the snowy scene. I love the beret for an added bit of chic flair.

Maisie Williams In Coach – ‘Early Man’ London Premiere

Maisie Williams’ quirky sense of style was on display for the ‘Early Man’ World premiere held at BFI IMAX on Sunday (January 14) in London.

I’ve always admired how the young actress loves to have fun with fashion, so this Coach Spring 2018 playful look was right up her street; from the pretty hues, sparkling shoes, graphic top and embellished bag.

The only thing I couldn’t get on board with are the trousers.

Exposed zippers on trousers in that region will never curry favour with me.

Saoirse Ronan In Coach – TimesTalks

On Thursday (January 4), TimesTalks presented a discussion on ‘Lady Bird’ in New York City, with Golden Globe nominated actress Saoirse Ronan in attendance.

If you were to ask me to define Saoirse’s style, I couldn’t tell you. I love that she will always keep us guessing.

Wearing a t-shirt with suit can often be seen as “breaking the rules”, but this Coach Pre-Fall 2018 look works considering the great execution and tailoring of the pinstripe suit, plus the casual nature of the occasion.

Casadei sandals completed her look.

Maisie Williams In Coach – The Fashion Awards 2017

Maisie Williams joined a host of stars for The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London.

I’m usually a fan of the actress’ playful style, but I felt that this Coach Spring 2018 dress didn’t translate so well off the runway.

It had all the quirky sensibilities to be considered a Maisie Williams dress, so I understand why she selected it.

It’s just a shame it didn’t quite work out.
