The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

There were many more stars in attendance at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party, joining Diane Kruger on Saturday (January 6).

Michelle Williams: As we might have predicted, the actress was dressed in a Louis Vuitton design—this one a basic variation on a sheath dress with a graphic pattern to add visual interest.

Issa Rae: Continuing her sunny-yellow mood from the 2018 AFI Awards, Issa donned a Rosie Assoulin Spring 2018 frock that featured a sense of girly playfulness in the oversized ruffle detail. With Monica Vinader jewels to round out the look, she kept the styling simple and sleek this time around.

Emma Watson: Emma debuted a short set of bangs that had a certain Sofia Boutella influence to go with her Osman Resort 2018 ensemble. The sharp look prominently celebrated the menswear trend, with Susi Studio loafers contributing to that theme.

The Fashion Awards 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

The long list of stars continued in full force at The Fashion Awards 2017 on Monday (December 4) in London.

Kaia Geber: I loved seeing the young model have some fun with the flirty nature of ruffles in this Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 two-piece, cold-shoulder look. It was style-forward, chic, and sweet at the same time. Messika jewels completed her look.

Adwoa Aboah: There was no sequin left unturned in this Halpern Spring 2018 sequin number, but it was the platform footwear that compromised its fresh potential.

Jourdan Dunn: The sultry seduction of the Versace label was fully celebrated in this orange gown. But I most loved the model’s gorgeous beauty look.

Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane – The Fashion Awards 2017

Laura Carmichael struck a pose at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London, joining Pink and Selena Gomez.

I was surprised when I saw the former ‘Downton Abbey’ star clad in a directional Christopher Kane Spring 2018 dress.

The actress often favors classic, feminine styles with timeless silhouettes so I applaud her for trying something new.

Her black version presented a more formal feel and I can hear many cheers for her lining the dress. The neutral underlayer allowed the exquisite lace detailing to not be lost.

The crisscross heels played up the edginess of the look, but I would have preferred a clutch over the micro bag.

Vulture Festival Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

The Vulture Festival Los Angeles on Saturday (November 18) in Hollywood, California saw a few other stars in its midst along with Kerry Washington.

Bellamy Young: The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a charmingly ladylike Temperley London Resort 2018 printed dress with Marskinryyppy sandals. The off-the-shoulder silhouette and flared skirt were the sweet details that contributed just the right flair to the look.

Common: I like how Common wore the punchy paint splatters of his 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2018 jacket with more neutral, solid-hued shirting and trousers courtesy of J Brand. That, combined with his bold shoes, kept the look different enough from the same jacket we just saw on Caleb McLaughlin.

Issa Rae: Showing how great she looks in stripes, the actress let this bold Christopher Kane Resort 2018 carwash-panel dress take top billing by minimizing her accessories to a simple pair of Saint Laurent sandals.

2017 MTV EMAs Red Carpet Roundup

While many will still be talking about Rita Ora’s double bathrobe moment at the 2017 MTV EMAs on Sunday (November 12) in London, there were plenty of other daring looks to likewise borrow some of the spotlight.

Leomie Anderson: I love how the model looked to vintage Vivienne Westwood inspiration in this Fall 1994 look. Her high ponytail and combat boots added another layer of sassy edge to the look that had plenty of modern edge.

Demi Lovato: Proving that plaid and a paper-bag waist can somehow maintain a sexy appeal, Demi worked the proportions of this Styland suit to her advantage. Giuseppe Zanotti plafforms were clearly necessary given the length of the pants, with Messika jewelry rounding out the look. If the super-long extensions get a pass, it’s only because of this being a MTV occasion.

Tallia Storm: Her Topshop ‘Cosmic Star’ embellished slip dress offered an accessible interpretation on red-carpet dressing. I can easily see the socks and platforms being a sticking point, however, they did bring funky appeal, with an Alexander McQueen clutch for a bit of overt British flavour to finish the look.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Premiere

The premiere of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 took place on Thursday (October 26) in Los Angeles, California, with the cast display an array of gorgeous looks.

Millie Bobby Brown: Judging by your comments yesterday, it seems that you are longing for Millie to display a more youthful style. One that better represents her tender 13 years. I do love this Calvin Klein leather dress for its chic appeal, but it sounds like you want something more playful.

Natalia Dyer: I have been obsessed with Natalia’s style since her epic red Miu Miu moment, and this Christopher Kane Resort 2018 only enhances my love. So poised and graceful for someone so young, Natalia has such a commanding presence in this lace-frilled gown. Demure yet infused with a light, modern spirit, this was my favourite look of the night. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

Sadie Sink: I love when big brand dress young talent, and Chanel is one of those brands which has always done this. Sadie’s black and white Chanel Fall 2017 is the perfect mix of classic and youthful.

Katy Perry In Christopher Kane & Attico – ‘Good Morning America’

As one of the new ‘American Idol’ judges, Katy Perry was on ‘Good Morning America’ on Wednesday (October 4) in New York City.

The entertainer offered up a double-feature of colourful looks to wake us up in the morning.

Upon leaving the ‘Good Morning America’ studios, she wore a Christopher Kane Fall 2017 body-con, ribbed dress and matching coat that provided a dizzyingly fanciful swirl of holographic-inspired hues, which actually were a brilliant counterpoint to her ice-blonde pixie cut. Her metallic booties and sculptural earrings added to the futuristic whimsy of the look.

But, even before her Christopher Kane look, she was rocking another bright-and-early morning look.

Upon arriving to GMA, she dazzled in an Attico Fall 2017 all-over sequin wrap dress in rainbow shades—clearly even needing Elizabeth and James McKinley shades to shield her eyes from the glitzy glare. To polish off the glam look, she styled the dress with Katy Perry Footwear ‘Microphone’ pumps for an added flourish—although I would have skipped the tights here.

You may remember that Kat Graham wore this same dress back in August.
