Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ World Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture - 'The Hunger Games Catching Fire' World Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence returned to the red carpet for the UK premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ hosted this evening at Odeon Leicester Square in London.

No big shock that the actress and Miss Dior girl was donning Christian Dior, this time from the Couture Fall 2013 collection. Her white, gathered-waist gown was encrusted with a wide panel of candy-coloured embellishment that added a lighthearted note to the dress—even if it struck at what was not the most figure-flattering, hipline placement.

Perhaps the more stunning aspect of the look, which was missing some of the runway’s streamlined shapeliness, was the backless, mock cape silhouette that had all the right notes of chic sophistication.

Accessories were kept to a minimum here, with midnight-blue Kurt Geiger London pumps taking top billing and stud Sydney Evan earrings playing a minor supporting role.

While Jennifer’s newly shorn pixie locks are sure to cause a stir, I have a feeling her style will, too. Has she won you over, or is this a disappointing entrance that doesn’t meet your expectations?

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – Guggenheim International Gala

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior - Guggenheim International Gala

Joining Jessica Biel for the second evening of the Guggenheim International Gala held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City on Thursday, Natalie Portman wore her sixth Dior look within a fortnight.

On this occasion she wore a muted hybrid look featuring a part crepe, part draped double silk duchess satin dress with a sheer hem enriched with blue embellishments.

The embellishments keep the look interesting; however, I would’ve liked this look more had the black part of the dress featured tonal embellishments too, or something defining the waist.

The look just feels like it’s missing something, preventing me from falling in love with it.

Black Dior accessories, a Dior Fine Jewelry ‘Bagatelle’ ring, a wavy ‘do and a pop of pink via her nails provided the finishing touches to her look.

Is something missing for you? Or do you love this look as it is?

Jessica Biel attended the second evening of the Guggenheim International Gala held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City on Thursday.

She wore a Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture strapless black, off-white and pale-lilac bustier dress with yellow embroidered details around the neckline.

I can’t say I’m that crazy about the dress. Sadly the heavyweight fabric of the black part of her dress didn’t withstand the journey to the venue.

The accessories really lift the look. I love her Dior fine jewelry ‘Granville’ opal earrings and dual-colour yellow-and-pink pumps more than the dress.

Cobie Smulders In Christian Dior – Guggenheim International Gala

Cobie Smulders In Christian Dior - Guggenheim International Gala

Cobie Smulders joined Elizabeth Olsen on the red carpet for the Guggenheim International Gala in New York City last night.

The brunette beauty selected a black-and-white look from Dior’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection featuring a black draped asymmetrical top over a narrow white skirt.

Deciding not to overcomplicate the tricky-to-pull-off look, she styled the look with a black Dior clutch and black patent Dior pumps.

What I j’adore most about this look is her dark-cherry lip colour.

You may remember that Zhang Ziyi wore this same dress while attending the Dior Cruise 2014 show back in May.

Elizabeth Olsen attended the Guggenheim International Gala in New York City last night.

The indie starlet wore a Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture embroidered black wool and silk cocktail dress.

Her non-traditional ‘LBD’ was definitely in tune with the evening’s artsy vibe, having featured a quirky mix of details: black and citron-hued petals along the chest, delicate layers, and a below-the-knee cut, which hinted ever so slightly at being a high-low hemline too.

Black Dior pumps, a Dior Fine Jewelry ‘My Dior’ white gold with diamonds bracelet, and laid-back beach waves completed the look.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Thor: The Dark World’ New York Screening

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture - 'Thor The Dark World' New York Screening

Following her guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, Natalie Portman continued to promote her new movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ by attending a special screening at The Marlton in New York City hosted by Dior Beauty.

The actress wore Dior again, this time selecting a look from the Fall 2012 collection – which wasn’t a gown, you’ll be surprised to learn; instead she wore a multi-coloured embroidered silk bustier styled with black wool tapered pants.

After a selection of stunning gowns, including her Best Dressed of the Week couture piece from last week, this look comes as a refreshing change.

Harry Winston jewels, black Dior pumps, and a Charlotte Olympia perspex clutch – with a fuchsia pouch which complemented her top – accessorized her look, with sleek straight locks providing the finishing touch.
