Mia Wasikowska In Christian Dior – ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Mia Wasikowska In Christian Dior - 'Only Lovers Left Alive' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Mia Wasikowska attended the ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ premiere during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival held at Ryerson Theatre in Toronto, Canada yesterday evening.

The actress stunned once again wearing a bright-red Christian Dior sleeveless gown in a figure-hugging silhouette showcasing her amazing figure.

While I love the minimal styling, I wish more effort had been made on the hair and makeup.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better…Claire Julien or Kelly Chen?

Who Wore Christian Dior Better Claire Julien or Kelly Chen

Before her epic promo tour for ‘The Bling Ring’, Claire Julien took to the red carpet at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2013 pale-pink satin-duchesse and metallic-blue organza one-shoulder dress, which she styled with nude pumps.

Kelly Chen transformed the look, giving it an edgy vibe by adding black shorts, Stella McCartney hologram heels and a Balenciaga cuff.

So who wins? Sweet or edgy? Kelly’s interpretation of the runway look is far more enticing so she wins for me.

Jennifer Lawrence For Miss Dior Fall 2013

Miss Dior AW2013

Jennifer Lawrence works an au naturel look for the Miss Dior Fall 2013 ad campaign which was released this week.

This is Jennifer’s second campaign for the French brand since being named as the face of Miss Dior back in 2012. On this occasion the vibe of the campaign feels more relaxed compared to the couture feel of the Spring campaign, as we see Jennifer wearing a grey wool Dior coat and minimal makeup while modelling red, black and cream Miss Dior leather quilted chain-strap bags designed by Raf Simons with a single silver earring.

Jennifer’s relationship with the brand continues to go from strength to strength despite many differing opinions about her suitability for the brand. She has worn Dior on several occasions, including the Met Gala, Cannes Film Festival, and most of award season, which ended with her taking a graceful tumble as she collected her Best Actress award at the Oscars.

Pixie Lott In Christian Dior – GQ Men of the Year Awards

Pixie Lott In Christian Dior - GQ Men of the Year Awards

Pixie Lott was also at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, hosted tonight at The Royal Opera House in London.

Not ready to kiss summer goodbye, the British songstress gave us another glimpse at the Christian Dior Spring 2013 collection with this micro-dress. The white lapel-influenced top was overlaid with a lavender-purple iridescent skirt.

Although her shoes are also by Dior, they seemed quite contrary to the effervescent look, treading into heavy, non-complementary territory. I had the same sensation with her mini-clutch.

A bouffant-inspire half-up, half-down ‘do and heavy kohl-rimmed eyes also didn’t play as nicely with the dress, which was ultimately compromised by the styling.

You may remember Sun Li wore this frock earlier this year, to arguably much better effect.

Cate Blanchett In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Blue Jasmine’ Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Christian Dior Couture - 'Blue Jasmine' Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett attended the premiere of ‘Blue Jasmine’ held during the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France on Saturday evening.

This is Cate’s second red carpet appearance wearing a look from the Fall 2013 Couture collections, following the opening ceremony on Friday evening.

On this occasion she selected an exquisite Christian Dior gown with colourful embroidered details.

As beautiful as the gown is, I did have some issues with it.

Firstly, it didn’t photograph all that well in a few pictures. This leads me to my second issue, which is that the gown may have been just an inch or two too long.

On the model the gown barely touches the ground, preventing it from looking like a tent on her.

Is this nearly perfect for you? Or does Cate blow you away in this gown?
