Runway To Gossip Girl Season 4 Episode 8

On Monday night in the US ‘Gossip Girl’ aired episode 8 of Season 4 titled, “Juliet Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”

I won’t give the storyline away because I haven’t seen it myself as it airs tonight in the UK, but it looks like the girls are going to a grand ball as they’re all looking very elegant in their gowns.

We’ve already seen pictures of Leighton Meester in Ralph Lauren with a Judith Leiber clutch and Christian Louboutin heels, plus Blake Lively in Zuhair Murad with a Halston clutch.

The additional pictures are of Katie Cassidy and Jessica Szohr.

Katie wears a stunning blue pleated J. Mendel Spring 2010 gown with nude cap sleeves.

Her look is paired with a stunning Ranjana Khan necklace and Carlos Falchi clutch.

We’ve seen this gown worn by Tatiana Blatnik and Vera Farmiga.

Jessica wore a printed Christian Cota Spring 2010 gown with a ruffled neckline. Her gown was paired with a tan Lauren Merkin clutch.

On the runway the J.Mendel is my favourite look, but I’m not crazy about how it looks on Katie as it has too much added to it for such an ethereal gown.

On the ‘real-way’ I just love the Ralph Lauren gown on Leighton. It’s the perfect chic look for the Upper East Side princess.

Audi And Chopard Emmy Week Kick-Off Party – Jayma Mays In Christian Cota

Jayma Mays also attended the “Emmy Week Kick-Off Party” hosted by Audi and Chopard last night.

The ‘Glee’ actress shimmered in a silvery lame Christian Cota Spring 2010 one-shoulder dress.

The first thing I said when I saw Jayma was, “Thank God she shortened her dress”.

If she’d kept the length she would’ve looked quite matronly and not as fun and sassy.

She added metallic silver accessories to her look which included Brian Atwood ‘Wagner’ peep toes, and a Salvatore Ferragamo box clutch.

As it was a Chopard event Jayma dazzled in their jewels.

Head-to-toe I love this look.

13-Hour Meet & Greet – Taylor Swift In Christian Cota

Singer/Songwriter Taylor Swift spent 13 hours signing autographs for fans and playing several songs with her band during The CMA Music Festival this weekend.

The star looked cute wearing an enchanted garden floral print Christian Cota Spring 2010 dress which is so typically Taylor.

It’s the perfect summer dress.

Taylor knows that her fan base is mostly young girls, and I love that she continues to set a good example for them.

“Date Night” New York Premiere – Tina Fey In Christian Cota

Tina Fey stars in “Date Night” with her co-star Steve Carell who also walked the red carpet at the New York premiere last night.

I was surprised to see Tina wearing a Christian Cota Fall 2010 dress.

The surprise was because Christian is still very much a young up-and-coming designer, I wouldn’t have thought he was on Tina’s radar.

Tina didn’t pick one of the edgier graphic pieces, instead she look fabulous wearing a black jersey dress with blue hand painted organza detail going down one side of the dress.

I love the look. It’s chic sophisticated without looking too young nor too old.

Everything balances out nicely.

Her look was paired with Givenchy shoes.

2010 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards – Selena Gomez In Christian Cota

Best Dressed Award
Selena Gomez brought out the sun on the orange carpet at the 2010 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards yesterday.

She was my Best Dressed of the night wearing a yellow Christian Cota chiffon dress with gold beaded belt detail from the designers red carpet capsule collection.

I’ve been campaigning long and hard for Selena to wear something more youthful and this dress was the perfect choice for the teen actress.

It’s not a gown, it colourful, youthful and most importantly age appropriate. I’m glad she’s back to having fun with fashion again.

Her look was paired with Sergio Rossi Girandola Bis gladiator sandals, a Lauren Merkin oval gold clutch and Ippolita jewels.

Runway To “Flying Lessons” Santa Barbara Premiere – Maggie Grace In Christian Cota

We don’t see much of Maggie Grace on the red carpet these days, but the “Lost” actress still knows how to put her best foot forward on the red carpet.

Maggie wore a Christian Cota Fall 2009 dress to the ‘Flying Lessons’ premiere during opening night of the 2010 Santa Barbara International Film Festival recently.

Her navy strapless mini dress is adorable with the sweetheart neckline and silver details.

Her look was paired with a Arianne Tunney navy clutch and nude Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

Had she styled her hair better, I would’ve been in love with this look.

Christian Cota Fall 2010

Christian Cota’s Fall 2010 presentation was inspired by Cubism.

He took organic forms disassembled them and puzzled them back together angle by angle.

This would explain the strong shapes and asymmetrical details on many of the pieces which gave them a futuristic feel.

Some of my favourite pieces were the ones with graphic prints and brush strokes, as well as the shimmering metallic looks.

Christian dresses many celebrities on the red carpet in his short and sassy numbers, and this time he added some floor-length numbers into the mix.

The legwear was by Hue and the shoes were by Aldo.

Anna Wintour was at the presentation for approximately 4 minutes.

I wonder if she was flattered by the Anna-esqe wigs the models were wearing.

Maybe not since they were grey.

Melissa George also in attendance and she was particularly taken by the silver laminated lace drape gown, which was open at the back.

I was fascinated by how Melissa tried to make eye contact with Anna.

Contact was not made.
