Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The 2010 Essence Music Festival took place in New Orleans this weekend, with many major stars performing.

Jada Pinkett-Smith enjoyed the entertainment still sporting her vacation glow.

The actress wore a white short sleeved shirt, Chloé Spring 2010 shorts and Proenza Schouler platform high heels.

I love this look.

She wouldn’t look out of place on a safari.

I love how the tan leather trim of her short complement her heels.

Keri Hilson looked hot wearing a Dolce & Gabbana leopard print bustier dress.

This blue leopard print dress has been very popular with celebs.

I love the look, but the heels waaa waaaa.

I love that Jessica Biel is giving me something to smile about these days.

‘Boring Biel’ seems to have disappeared and in her place is a gorgeous women who’s no longer stuck in a rut with greasy hair.

This week in Paris, Jessica and the rest of her “The A-Team” cast mates attended a press conference at the L’Hôtel Le Bristol.

She looked stunning wearing a Chloé Pre-Fall 2010 camel coloured dress with a ruffled collar and sheer sleeves.

It’s a very pretty, very lady-like look which is perfect for a press conference in Paris.

Christian Louboutin Canonita heels from the Fall 2010 collection complete the look.

Didn’t Jessica Alba recently cut her hair?

Well a long hair Jessica arrived on the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival screening of “The Killer Inside Me” in New York.

The actress opted for a floaty ethereal Chloé Spring 2010 dress.

Her romantic ivory dress with pleated embroidered layers is so beautiful.

The look was complete with statement necklaces, a sculptural gold cuff, tan strappy Marni sandals and a white studded clutch.

I like the way Jessica is mixing things up, going from edgy in Proenza Schouler to boho in Chloé.

On the red carpet Jessica saved Kate from what could have been a very embarrassing moment as a gush of wind caught Kate’s skirt.

Jess deserves a spot on the BDOTW poll.

Best Dressed Award
Zoe Kravtiz is very much the poster child for the Film Independent Spirit Awards, so it was not a surprise to see her grace the red carpet at the LA event.

What I did find surprising is how much I loved her look.

Normally I tired of her boho vibe, but if her Chloé Spring 2010 look is to be considered boho it was a least done in a modern, fresh, less contrived way.

Zoe was definitely one of my favourites of the night as she looked so soft and elegant.

Julianne Moore is the face of Bulgari’s Spring 2010 ad campaign, so she was the guest of honour at the “Bulgari Chandra Event” in Milan recently.

Julianne often keeps things interesting on the red carpet as she’s never predictable, and she hasn’t aligned herself with a particular brand like Renee/Herrera and Cate/Armani.

Her style is always classic and even when she takes the odd risk they always pay off.

On this occasion she kept her look simple with a black Chloé silk satin dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

The dress has light ruffles and a sheer yoke.

She opted for a thicker belt with her dress, completing her look with black sandals and a black jewel detail bag.

I love everything about this look, but I find her bag distracting.

I would’ve preferred her to carry a clutch.

Still BDOTW worthy imo though.

Looking at these series of photo’s I wouldn’t blame you if you thought they’d been taken over a period of a year, as it looks like Katie Holmes has endured many seasons.

This is in fact over a space of a week, starting with her wearing a white dress to the Superbowl on Sunday.

What’s consistent in each photo is her Chloé Python Marcie bag.

Regular readers will recognise that this isn’t the first time I’ve spotted a Katie Holmes bag crush.

She fell madly in love with her Chloe Paraty Python tote and equally hard for her Roger Vivier Mikado flat bag.

Her Chloé python Marcie bag is available to purchase from Matches Fashion.

Browns Fashion have a beige version, or you can buy this Marcie bag in a variety of colours and sizes from Net-A-Porte’s US site or Net-A-Porter’s International site.
