Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Kirsten Dunst attended the Premiere of her latest movie, ‘Melancholia’, which was held during the 49th annual New York Film Festival this week.

The actress opted for an effortless chic Chloe Resort 2011 dress.

Her halter dress had a plunging neckline and an embellished scarf-like detail around her neck.

I love her side-parted updo with some loose curls framing her face, plus her makeup is flawless.

Sonia Rykiel shoes and Fred Leighton jewelry accessorized her look.

Whilst the look is so very simple, she looks extremely chic and sophisticated.

I think I prefer this look to her Honor dress of last week.

The Chloe’s Spring 2012 collection was a first for British designer Clare Waight Keller who was appointed Creative Director back in June.

If she was nervous about her first outing for the French brand she wasn’t showing any signs of it when a group of us interviewed her backstage.

She told us how she enjoyed the transition from London to Paris. Whilst embracing her new city, she still brings her Londonianess with her.

Clare placed a lot of emphasis on the word ‘real’ during our interview as she told us that Chloe is about what’s ‘real’ and what’s ‘now’, and that the Spring 2012 collection was about capturing how real women dress today.

This is why she looked at a lot of blogs for inspiration. She wanted to capture those cool girls who are out there now because she found it inspiring to see how women put things together.

The Chloe look is not uptight and nothing is structured, but the Chloe girl still feels pretty and polished.

I found myself loving every piece from this Chloe collection. My personal style is quite relaxed, but I fell in love with the girlie, ultra feminine, easily wearable effortlessness of this collection.

Chiffon dresses were layered with white cotton t-shirts, shorts were paired with floral shirts, and I also loved the boyish slouchy pant suits. Striped maxi dresses, boyfriend shirts, drop-waist dresses and floaty chiffon dresses closed the show.

Pleats and stripes were the main themes of this collection, but I loved the floral pieces too.

Key accessories included bi-colour slingback pumps, low slung nude belts plus clutches and shoulder bags with wider shoulder straps.

Favourites: Tri-colour keyhole dress with chiffon sleeves and drop-waist chiffon pleated dress

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Everyone. Especially Kate Bosworth, Leighton Meester, Rachel Bilson, Kate Beckinsale, Zoe Saldana and Thandie Newton

Charlize Theron opted for an effortless casual look at the HTC “Rhyme” Launch Event in New York City this week.

The South African beauty wore a Chloe Resort 2012 dress.

Her short-sleeve emerald green dress with a drawstring tie waist was paired with very comfortable silver studded and braided gladiator flat sandals.

The star swept her golden mane over one shoulder and carried an olive clutch.

The great thing about this look is that even though she didn’t try too hard, she still looked really good.

Emma Stone was spotted arriving at the ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’ studios in New York City this morning to continue promoting her new movie, “The Help.”

The actress opted to wear a grey Chloé Resort 2012 dress.

As someone who is not a fan of grey, I’m finding it very hard to like this sleeveless dress.

What I will say is that I’m really missing the black waistband which cinches in the models waist.

Her hot pink Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps were a very strange choice, but they add pop of colour to her look.

A chic updo, gold hooped Jamie Wolf earrings and pink lips completed her look.

Love Everything But The Shoes Award
Rachel Bilson attended the 2011 Teen Choice Awards yesterday looking absolutely adorable.

This white Chloé Resort 2012 dress was the perfect choice for this event.

Her cute summery dress is cinched in at the waist and features ruffled detailing around the neckline.

Rachel accessorized Brian Atwood ‘Cohen Borchie’ studded ankle booties which for me was completely the wrong choice.

Everything else about her look, including her girly half-up, half-down hairstyle and pretty pink lipstick is so feminine and on this occasion, the juxtaposition of her tough, edgy shoes fails to work for me.

I would have loved a pair of colourful strappy heels instead, much like her aqua Casadei heels she recently wore.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proves that her “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” promo tour style wasn’t a fluke, because her street style is just as admirable.

She turned heads as she was spotted on her way to lunch with a friend in New York City wearing an effortless summery look.

Rosie’s silky separates included a sleeveless white top with a lace trim, which was paired with a mint green skirt.

I love how she accessorized her look.

She opted for bohemian feather earrings, Elizabeth and James Figueroa sunglasses, a red Chloé Paraty leather bag, nude Chloé braided ankle strap ballerina flats and a cowgirl belt.

This is the perfect model/actress ‘off duty’ look on a sunny afternoon in Manhattan.
