‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The premiere of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ on Sunday (May 21) brought a number of other stars to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Clotilde Courau: Clotilde brought a gilded touch to the proceedings with her embroidered Georges Hobeika gown. Just don’t look too closely at the nude illusion components that provided a slightly distracting tint to the majestic gold filigree look.

Barbara Meier: Electric blue will always be one of my favourite colours, especially with the fiery red locks of Barbara’s. So, I’m not sure why I wasn’t completely in awe of this Alexis Mabille Couture look. I blame the stiff, structured silhouette of the off-the-shoulder bodice that seemed a bit awkward.

Laetitia Casta: The slashed-to-there look comes back yet again in this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 gown, and in case you had any chance of missing the thigh-high slit, this one’s embellished in crystals. It’s nothing revolutionary for Cannes, but a sleek bun would have been in order to better highlight her gorgeous earrings.

Juliette Binoche In Chloé – ‘Okja’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Juliette Binoche was championing purist elegance on the red carpet this evening (may 19) for the ‘Okja’ Cannes Film Festival premiere.

Her contemporary, bespoke Chloé gown with exaggerated sleeves possessed an light-as-air feel which gave this look some romantic tendencies.

I don’t think I have witness such a serene look from the actress who tends to favour dark hues.

If I had one complaint, it would be the hair.

Even those Chopard earrings can’t dazzle me enough to look passed the mullet style.

Naomi Watts In Erdem, Lela Rose, Chloe & Prabal Gurung – ‘The Book Of Henry’ Promotion

While many are at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Naomi Watts has been on the New York City promo circuit for ‘The Book Of Henry,’ making four stops over the course of Wednesday (May 17) and Thursday (May 18).

The Today Show: Her Erdem floral-printed frock may have been from the Fall 2017 collection, but it had all the fresh lightness of the season, especially when styled with white-rimmed Linda Farrow shades, Jennifer Meyer jewels, and a mauve-pink Chloe ‘Drew’ bag.

Out In New York: The summery vibe became all the sunnier in this happy, bright Lela Rose Spring 2017 flower frock. I love the retro vibe and that she wore equally vibrant, colour-block Pierre Hardy ‘Memphis’ sandals.

NYLON Young Hollywood Party

Pretty young things came out to play at NYLON’s annual Young Hollywood event, celebrating the May issue, on Tuesday (May 2) in LA.

Madeline Brewer: Wrapping herself up in a Natori bustier paired with Halston trousers, Madeline let the origami-obi belt do the work for this ensemble. A black Corto Moltedo clutch seamlessly melded into the look.

Rowan Blanchard: I love young Rowan’s fearless embrace of style, as she took the fanciful artistry of this Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2017 beaded lace dress into fashion-forward territory with her futuristic eyeliner effect and crystal embellishment under her eyes.

Emily Robinson: I have to applaud Emily for at least skipping the ubiquitous sheer lace and exchanging it for sheer latticework in this Shrimps Spring 2017 dress. While I could have given the dress a pass, I don’t understand the golden handbag and metallic heels.

OMEGA ‘Lost In Space’ 60th Anniversary Party

A collection of stars celebrated the 60th anniversary of OMEGA Speedmaster at the ‘Lost in Space’ event, held in London on Wednesday (April 26), where OMEGA timepieces were the accessory du jour.

Gemma Arterton: I love how this Jenny Packham Fall 2017 LBD featured tonal fringe adding a bit of pizzazz to the minimalist look.

Liv Tyler: The rosy-pink Valentino frock, printed in whimsical line drawings and cut through with red knife pleats, provided a striking, soft and strong colour contrast. But I do wish the dress was more nipped-in at the waist, and that Liv had skipped the larger handbag.

Clemence Poesy: Featuring a funky, retro print, this Chloé frock sent me straight back to fall when styled with tights and chunky loafers. Unfortunately, Clemence’s au naturel beauty approach did nothing to breathe vibrancy into the look.

Zoey Deutch In Chloé – ‘Flower’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Zoey Deutch looked very charming while attending the premiere for the drama, ‘Flower’ during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday (April 20) in New York City.

With a contrasting Peter Pan collar and ditsy print, this Chloe Fall 2017 mini dress sits on the right side of retro.

Chloe is all about boho, so I like this more youthful take on elegance and overall playful approach; updating a simplistic silhouette with artful elegance.

Julianne Moore In Chloé – Vogue & Chopard Opening of Ivan Shaw’s Glittering Prizes Photo Exhibition

Julianne Moore was in attendance at the Vogue & Chopard Opening of Ivan Shaw’s Glittering Prizes photo exhibition on Thursday (April 13) in New York City.

A strong vibe of gothic romance characterized this Chloe Pre-Fall 2017 frock, which was not without a sense of dark whimsy and intrigue in its spidery lace treatment.

While the dress maintained moody drama, the girly silhouette also lightened the look with a less serious sensibility.

Even so, her Chopard jewels really shone with her statement earrings a sophisticated way to finalize the ensemble.
