Jennifer Lawrence In Chloé - 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actress Jennifer Lawrence joined fellow Oscar nominees at the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon, hosted on Monday at The Beverly Hilton hotel in California.

After a few puzzling black and blue exits, I was really hoping that she would bring something inspiring to the luncheon table. This napkin-white, embossed Chloé Spring 2013 dress was not it.

The strapless midi, with its fair share of ruffled flip and flounce, was too nonchalant and breezy for the occasion. Plus, the fold-over bodice and the overall fit did nothing for me—or for Jennifer.

The heft of a substantial pair of Casadei pumps was even more baffling. Those black heels didn’t belong anywhere near this dress.

She also debuted different styling that included half-up, half-down hair and sultrier-than-normal makeup with a liberal application of bronzer, a smokey eye and plump nude lip.

There was a brief silver lining (no pun intended) in Jennifer’s fashion repertoire with the canary yellow Emilio Pucci she wore last week. Hopefully it returns, as I cannot wait for film’s “it” girl to get back on fashion girl territory, too.

Katie Holmes In Chloé - The Other Place' Broadway Opening Night Performance

Katie Holmes attended the Manhattan Theater Club’s ‘The Other Place’ Broadway opening night performance held at Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York City last week.

Opting for chic separates, she wore an ivory shirt with black tapered pants, which she styled with an impeccably cut wool-crepe Chloé ‘Santorini’ collarless blazer from the Resort 2013 collection.

Featuring notched lapels and three-quarter-length sleeves, the typically elegant structured piece from the Parisian label smartens up what could have been a typically blah look for Katie.

I would love to see this look worn again during the summer months with the coordinating shorts.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead – who recently received a ‘Best Female Lead’ Independent Spirit Awards nomination for her role in ‘Smashed’ – joined Elle Fanning on Wednesday evening for The Variety Studio: Awards Edition event, held at a private residence in LA.

She wore an impeccable Chloe ivory dress with a neck-tie detail.

This typically ultra-feminine design from the Parisian brand was styled with a Kate Spade New York ‘Post Street Madison’ shoulder bag, a Cuyana ring and black Barbara Bui pumps.

Nude pumps would’ve perfected this look, don’t you think?

A neat bun and neutral makeup, including nude lips, provided the finishing touches.

By an incredibly small margin, Pace Wu took home the title of best dressed this week.

The Asian beauty had an amazing run during Paris Fashion Week, but it was her Chloe spring white look with nude accessories and simple styling which you loved the most.

I started off the week loving Abbie Cornish in Reem Acra and I finished the week still obsessing over Abbie Cornish in Reem Acra.

Her silver floral appliqué gown was divine, heavenly in fact.

Ms Acra gave the world a master class on illusion panelling.

Fashion Week is a predictable time as the celebs wear a look by the designer who invited them to the show (unless you’re Jennifer Lopez).

The one person who stood out during Paris Fashion Week was Pace Wu.

I saw her as I entered the Elie Saab show and she is even more beautiful in real life and taller than I had expected.

Her fashionable week started off at the Lanvin show where she wore an all-black Lanvin look with a hot-pink lip colour providing a pop of colour.

While I’m not too crazy about the dress, especially the dangerously high slit, I do love her accessories, sans black pumps of course.

Her menswear-inspired look at the Jean-Paul Gaultier show could’ve been tres boring had she not opted for several pops of pink via her belt, her Brian Atwood pumps and Olympia Le Tan clutch.

One of my favourite looks was Wu’s Stella McCartney look. Her blue lace jumpsuit with a black waistband is stunning on her. She styled it perfectly with a Stella McCartney ‘Falabella’ clutch with a blue chain and Charlotte Olympia nude ‘Dolly’ pumps.

The latest celebrity ‘It’ bag is Chloé’s ‘Alice’ tote for Fall 2012.

This 70s-inspired bag with a luxe texture and sporty two-tone colour mix appears to be the must-have of the season.

The ultra-chic style, which features expandable sides and ample interior for glamorous girls on the go like Jessica Alba, Naomi Watts and Pace Wu (carrying the shoulder bag), is available in both peach and black and cream and black.

At present the cream-and-black is favoured by celebrities; which colourway do you prefer?
