Who Wore Chanel Better…Keira Knightley or Astrid Berges-Frisbey?

Who Wore Chanel Better Keira Knightley or Astrid Berges-Frisbey

Keira Knightley wore a vintage Chanel navy dress with white trims including bow detailing to the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ back in January.

While hardly an exciting choice for an LA premiere, this ladylike look did suit Keira to a tee.

Fellow Chanel ambassador Astrid Berges-Frisbey wore the same dress during Deauville American Film Festival in September for the ‘I Origins’ Photocall.

Sadly, her styling fails to impress. The shoes give the look a matronly feel, the necklace overcooks the look and I am missing the second bow at the waist.

Keira wins this for her more favourable styling.

Felicity Jones In Vintage Chanel & Paule Ka – ‘The Theory Of Everything’ New York Screening

Felicity Jones In Vintage Chanel & Paule Ka - 'The Theory Of Everything' New York Screening

Felicity Jones attended a screening of ‘The Theory Of Everything’ hosted by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in New York City on Tuesday (October 21).

Opting for a simple chic look, the British actress wore a grey vintage Chanel turtleneck sweater with black Paule Ka trousers.

I perhaps would’ve glossed over this look had it not been for the finer details, including the pointy collar, standout cuffs and bow accent on the trousers, giving this look an ultra-feminine flourish.

Styled with Manolo Blahnik ‘Campari’ Mary Jane patent-leather pumps, I love the modern-day Audrey Hepburn vibe I’m getting from this look.

Rinko Kikuchi In Chanel Couture - 'Last Summer' Rome Film Festival Premiere

Rinko Kikuchi attended the ‘Last Summer’ premiere held during the 9th Rome Film Festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica on Saturday (October 18) in Rome, Italy.

The actress wore a Chanel Spring 2014 Couture gold sleeveless corseted dress embroidered with multicolour pastel sequins.

It’s quite a unique, hard-to-pull-off design, yet her poise and confidence, plus the complementary Chanel gold accessories, help her master this look with relative ease.

Chanel Dinner Celebrating ‘N°5 THE FILM’ By Baz Luhrmann

Chanel Dinner Celebrating 'No5 THE FILM' By Baz Luhrmann

Chanel hosted a dinner party yesterday evening (October 13) in New York City to celebrate N°5 THE FILM by Baz Luhrmann, with plenty of usual suspects hitting the red carpet.

Lily Allen: Always on hand to show support for any Chanel project, the British singer wore a Chanel Resort 2015 boucle multi-coloured dress, which was presented as a coat, bringing a mod touch to her look with platform Chelsea boots.

Poppy Delevingne: The socialite looked beautiful and graceful wearing a colourful chiffon Resort 2015 look comprising three tiers, which she effortlessly styled with a blue Chanel clutch. She was by far my favourite at this event.

Gisele Bündchen: The Brazilian model, who appears in the film, selected a look from Chanel’s Fall 2014 Couture collection. Complementing the shimmering silver embellished look with silver accessories including a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Minati’ pumps with an asymmetrical strap, I can’t help but feel that no matter what she wears, she always looks the same. This is usually a good thing, but not on this occasion. She’s just doesn’t strike me as a Chanel girl. Her over the top posing at this event proved that.

Mia Wasikowska In Chanel Couture – ‘Madame Bovary’ London Film Festival Screening

Mia Wasikowska In Chanel Couture - 'Madame Bovary' London Film Festival Screening

Mia Wasikowska joined Laura Carmichael on the red carpet for the screening of ‘Madame Bovary’ during the 58th BFI London Film Festival held at Odeon West End on Saturday (October 11) in London, England.

Usually I reserve my rights to judge any Chanel runway look until I see it on the red carpet, as the red carpet look is usually much more preferable; sadly, that is not the case on this occasion.

Mia breathes no life into this metallic-silver Chanel Spring 2014 Couture futuristic-style dress which creates the illusion of a tiny waist.

I don’t even feel the black pumps are to blame here; perhaps it’s the hair and makeup bringing down the look, or that she simply lacks presence.
