Chanel & Charles Finch Pre-Bafta Dinner

Lovely ladies celebrated awards season at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Bafta Dinner at Mark’s Club on Saturday (February 17) in London, England, where they were outfitted in charming Chanel pieces for the occasion.

Tessa Thompson: The BAFTA Rising Star Award nominee looked sweet in a Chanel Spring 2018 ensemble with its white and yellow tweed evoking a cheerful summer sentiment. The jovial mood was kept up with her twisted topknot, white shoes and red lip.

Poppy Delevingne: The model also embraced the designer’s signature fabric with a seafoam and pale blue Spring 2018 ensemble. The silhouette and chevron seams are quiet details so it was wise of her to not overdo the accessories. Like Tessa, her high updo added youthful fun to the tailored pieces.

Greta Gerwig: The ‘Lady Bird’ director, who is nominated for best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAs, swept me away with her Chanel Spring 2018 dress. It’s playful with the tinsel-like fringing creating captivating dimension. My only gripe is the black shoes feel a bit heavy against the rest of the ensemble.

Margot Robbie In Chanel Couture – EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Margot Robbie stepped out at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party on Saturday (February 17) in London, England, joining Caitriona BalfeGugu Mbatha-Raw and Anya Taylor-Joy.

She is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role and her Chanel Spring 2018 Couture dress has a celebratory feel.

The white tweed is enlivened with frothy fringing decorating the hems and neckline. The whimsical charm was enhanced with the softly flared skirt.

The high pockets were another sweet addition, which she gamely showed off.

She has worn Chanel to a couple of awards season events so it will be interesting to see whether she picks the designer again. Given the ethereal sophistication of this look, I hope she does.

Caitriona Balfe In Chanel – EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Caitriona Balfe opted for monochromatic separates at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party on Saturday (February 17) at Kensington Palace in London, England alongside Kate MaraNatalie Dormer and Anya Taylor-Joy.

I must say that when I first glanced at the photo, the ‘Outlander’ actress reminded of Bella Hadid when she had a wispy bob.

That’s where the comparisons end as the Irish actress’s Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 outfit is very much in her wheelhouse.

Rather than a skirt, she channeled the sharpness of a tuxedo with a white halter top and black flared pants.

It’s a shame about the creases. I’m willing to overlook those as that is the nature of the fabric, but I wish the trousers had been shortened to the length on the runway so we could have really appreciated that dramatic flare.

Ellie Bamber In Chanel – Dunhill & GQ Pre-BAFTA Filmmakers Dinner And Party

Ellie Bamber joined Lily James for the Dunhill & GQ Pre-BAFTA Filmmakers Dinner and Party on Thursday (February 15) in London.

It’s hard to miss the integration of chic whimsy into this Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 design that offers a new look at sheer in the wispy skirt—thankfully worn with the leggings underneath.

I love how it all echoed the label’s classic nostalgia in the textural tweed coupled with embellishment and Chanel accessories whilst simultaneous presenting forward-looking, youthful modernity.

Did you miss the runway’s embellished shoes for a final flourish?

Tilda Swinton In Chanel – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Photocall

Prior to cutting a sharp figure at the opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere, Tilda Swinton attended the ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Photocall on Thursday (February 15) in Berlin, Germany.

The actress was once again drawn to the dramatic cut of a Chanel suit as she wore another style from the Pre-Fall 2018 collection.

This time, she brought together brown tweed separates to form a striking ensemble. It was at once crisp and flowing from the wide-legged trousers with their graceful drape and the rounded cut of the jacket.

The silhouette suited her statuesque beauty, but what truly made it special for me was the colour.

She frequently wears white, black and ethereal pastels, but brown isn’t normally in her wheelhouse. Gold, yes, but brown, no.

It was a slight deviation and it has made me excited to see what else she will turn up in.

Tilda Swinton In Chanel – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Tilda Swinton was on top form for the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany this evening (February 15), where she took to the red carpet for the opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere alongside Greta Gerwig.

There is no doubt this Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 androgynous look is very much in tune with Tilda’s style, but I feel like I have exhausted my excitement over this when Keira Knightley wore a similar look during Sundance Film Festival.

Some said Keira’s look (number 72) resembled a Charlie Chaplin costume, but would you tag the same label to Tilda’s look (number 73)?
