Uma Thurman In Chanel Couture – 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Uma Thurman is the only one so far giving Gwen Stefani a run for her money on the red carpet at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival this evening.

The juror for this festival wore yet another Chanel Couture gown, this time from the Fall 2008 collection.

Her grey gown with floral appliqué around the neckline is drastically improved off the runway without the floral detail around the waist.

I adore this colour on Uma, and I’m not usually a fan of anything grey.

She has quite a knack of looking so statuesque in flats.

Wearing flats has the opposite effect for me.

Rachel Bilson In Chanel Couture – CW Network’s 2011 Upfront

Rachel Bilson attended the CW Network’s 2011 Upfront event in New York City last night.

The actress was there to help promote, “Hart of Dixie” which she stars in

Rachel wore a Chanel Couture tweed dress with Brian Atwood ‘Donna’ pumps.

This look is simple, elegant and effortless.

I’m starting to warm to her red carpet style again recently, despite her reluctance to let that ombre go.

A Chanel ‘Camelia’ necklace completed her look.

Ines de la Fressange Loves Roger Vivier

Ines de la Fressange, model and Chanel muse in the 80s, has been attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival as one of the spokespersons for L’Oreal.

She was once included on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame and I can see why.

On the first day she wore a Carven Fall 2011 black gown for the opening ceremony.

The following day she wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 strapless eggplant satin gown with draping at the waist to attend the “Sleeping Beauty” Premiere.

Finally for the “Habemus Papam” Premiere she wore a Chanel Fall 2007 Couture dress.

Each look is very different, but she styled them all with Roger Vivier accessories.

First wearing black Vivier flat sandals, then gorgeous fuchsia pink flats and finally grey flats.

I love each of her shoe choices, but I wish she’d also made her clutch choices as interesting and varied as her footwear.

Uma Thurman In Chanel Couture – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Premiere

Only Uma Thurman can wear flats on the red carpet and still look 6ft tall.

The actress joined Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp on the red carpet for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Premiere this evening.

She wore a Chanel Fall 2008 Couture gown.

Her gown with beaded embellishments also had a layered train and a satin sash which falls from the back.

I loved that Uma has gone back in the archives for this gown, but still manages to make her gown look like it’s fresh off-the-runway.

Uma has been outstanding during Cannes without upstaging the main stars of the premiere, which is no easy feat when you are as tall and gorgeous as she is.

Karolina Kurkova In Chanel – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Premiere

Despite the rain in at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Premiere, it didn’t stop Karolina Kurkova opting for a mini dress.

The supermodel wore a Chanel Spring 2011 black feathered dress with black Jimmy Choo ‘Emily’ sandals and a black patent Chanel clutch.

I almost didn’t recognise her with her hair pulled back like that.

2011 Cannes Film Festival “Wu Xia” Photocall

Tang Wei arrived at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Wu Xia” Photocall in very good spirits.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey has made Chanel so boring for me over the past few days, that I’m glad Tang Wei was able breath life and vitality into this Chanel Spring 2011 ensemble.

I would never have picked this look for any celebrity in the fear it would look matronly or costumey, but I love it on Tang Wei who is effervescent and charming.

Her jewels are complementary and I love her black strappy shoe choice.

I know many of you have issues with this tea length, but I love it on this occasion.
