Rachel Bilson In Chanel Couture – 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Magnum Ice Cream Film Series Screening

Karl Lagerfeld and Rachel Bilson hit the red carpet to introduce their series of short films inspired by Magnum Ice Cream during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City yesterday.

Rachel wore a Chanel Spring 2010 Couture dress. We haven’t seen many looks from this collection worn on the red carpet.

Her pink silk embroidered strapless dress was paired with Christian Louboutin black patent Pigalle pumps and a Chanel clutch in the shape of a seashell.

Rachel let her dress do all the talking as her look was kept simple.

She didn’t wear any jewelry, her make-up was kept neutral and her look was complete with chic updo with a few pieces framing her face.

This is a good look, but I do find myself mentally running an iron over her skirt.

2011 Hong Kong Film Awards

I have been waiting for a look from the Stéphane Rolland Spring 2011 Couture collection to be showcased on the red carpet ever since I attended the show back in January.

My wait is finally over as Miriam Yeung attended the 2011 Hong Kong Film Awards last night wearing an amazing sculptural gown.

I surprised at how this gown with a gold detail on the hip doesn’t appear to overwhelm her. She totally owns it and looks very comfortable.

Whilst I’m happy to see this look on the red carpet, I’m sad that this now mean there’s less chance of Cate or Tilda wearing it.

Thankfully there are many more amazing pieces from this collection for them to choose from. Read More…

Sarah Jessica Parker In Oscar de la Renta & Chanel – “Catch Me If You Can” Broadway Opening Night

The Broderick’s had a family night out in New York City to enjoy the “Catch Me If You Can” Broadway Opening Night.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick and young James Wilke Broderick posed together on the red carpet at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Sarah opted for a Pre-Fall 2011 look, which included an Oscar de la Renta white double georgette cap sleeve sheath dress.

Her dress was modified from the runway, as her version doesn’t have the beaded hemline.

SJP paired her modified dress with a Chanel green tweed ¾ length sleeved coat, with embellished details on the neckline and sleeves plus large gold square buttons.

Trademark wavy hair, with added bounce and Christian Louboutin ‘Luxura’ ankle strap pumps completed her look.

Naomi Watts In Chanel – Tribeca Arts Gala

Naomi Watts gave us romantic boho vibe at the Tribeca Arts Gala, which was held at the New York Academy of Art this week.

Her Chanel Spring 2011 printed dress made me think of Kate Hudson. I can picture the star wearing this dress as she does the boho, carefree look so well.

Naomi kept her accessories to a minimum with beige Jimmy Choo ‘Nexus’ booties, a bracelet and simple drop earrings.

Her hair was kept loose wavy to complement the free flowing romantic nature of her dress.

This is a perfectly executed effortless Spring look.

Saoirse Ronan In Chanel – “Hanna” New York Screening

Saoirse Ronan attended the screening for her new movie, “Hanna” at Regal Union Square Stadium in New York City last night.

The young actress wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 dress with Jimmy Choo ‘Zone’ silver strappy sandals.

It’s so refreshing to see someone other than the usually suspects wearing Chanel.

Her multi-coloured metallic polka dot halter dress, has an exquisite bejeweled neckline and is also accented with an embellished waistband.

I love that she let the dress do all the talking, opting for fresh neutral make-up and minimal jewels.

She’s a BDOTW contender in my opinion.

Michelle Williams In Chanel Couture – “Meek’s Cutoff” New York Screening

Michelle Williams attended the “Meek’s Cutoff” Screening in New York City last night.

The actress opted for a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture dress.

Her lilac dress has black sequined embellishments on the sleeve and large pockets on the front of her dress.

It’s been a while since I was excited about seeing Chanel on the red carpet and this isn’t doing it for me either.

Nice, but bland and boring at the same time.

A Chanel ring and Ferragamo heels completed her look.
