Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture – Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture - Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters at a ceremony held at the Ministry Of Culture on Monday (September 22) in Paris, France.

Going back into the archives, or perhaps in this case her closet, the German actress selected a look from Chanel’s Fall 2007 Couture collection.

The navy halter tuxedo-inspired frock, which still holds up now with its contemporary peplum, has many more interesting elements such as the black sequin bodice underlay, contrasting black stitch detailing and bow accent.

I love that she selected this dress for such an honourable occasion and setting. Usually she’s all about getting the fresh-off-the-runway look first.

Retro waves and silver jewels including an ear cuff rounded out her chic Parisian look.

Do you love it or should this dress have stayed in the archives?

Juana Acosta In Chanel, Elie Saab & Isabel Basaldúa – 2014 San Sebastian Film Festival

Juana Acosta In Chanel, Elie Saab & Isabel Basaldúa - 2014 San Sebastian Film Festival

Juana Acosta serves on the jury for the 62nd San Sebastian Film Festival which kick-started on Friday (September 19) in San Sebastian, Spain.

This is great news for us, as we get to see more of the Colombian beauty’s style.

Aladina Foundation Press Conference: First up was a chic Chanel Spring 2014 dress with frayed edges outlining the look. This look was made more adorable and ladylike with the pops of pink via her Elie Saab shoes and clutch, plus her white-framed Bimba & Lola sunglasses.

‘Time To Smile’ charity campaign: By nightfall Juana had changed into an Elie Saab Spring 2014 raspberry gown with a sultry lace bodice. The colour couldn’t have been more perfect for her, enhanced with a matching lip. Opting for yet another Elie Saab clutch, this time gold with silver detailing, the look was complete with stunning Carolina Herrera jewels and wavy tresses à la Veronica Lake. This look has BDOTW contention written all over it. She brings so much glamour to this event.

‘La Isla Minima’ premiere: On Saturday (September 20) the juror returned to the red carpet, ensuring all eyes were on her wearing a bright yellow Isabel Basaldúa strapless fitted dress. My admiration doesn’t just fall on the dress; the accessories make this look. Yellow and navy has always been my favourite colour combo; however, her styling of green satin Aquazzura sandals and beaded clutch is perfection personified.

I’m stuck between looks 2 and 3 for my favourite. Are you also on the fence or do you have a clear winner?

Kirsten Dunst In Chanel Couture – ‘The Two Faces Of January’ New York Premiere

Kirsten Dunst In Chanel Couture - 'The Two Faces Of January' New York Premiere

Kirsten Dunst attended ‘The Two Faces Of January’ New York premiere held at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema on Wednesday (September 17) in New York City.

The actress wore a Chanel Fall 2014 Couture white and silver-embroidered dress featuring a voluminous skirt. It’s a design with an easy sensibility which couldn’t be more perfect for her chic and understated style.

However, I can’t say I am a huge fan of the white Ferragamo clutch. It doesn’t add anything to the look, whereas her silver sandals complement the embroidery, waistband and her silver jewels.

Clutch aside, I still feel this is a BDOTW-worthy look.

Do you agree?

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel – Deauville American Film Festival

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel - Deauville American Film Festival

Astrid Berges-Frisbey has made several stylish appearances on the red carpet during Deauville American Film Festival in France this week, with all of her looks courtesy of Chanel.
This comes as no surprise as the French beauty has been an ambassador of the brand for quite some time; unlike Keira Knightley, who will wear Valentino here and Simone Rocha there, Astrid stays fiercely committed to Chanel.

‘Before I Go To Sleep’ Premiere: Going for a more laidback, yet still dressy approach, the actress wore a simple white tee with a textured leather skirt, dialling the look down from the runway to make it her own, which worked in her favour. While I will mark her down for mixing her metals and carrying a shoulder bag when a clutch would’ve elevated the chicness of this look, she is always a class act on the red carpet.

‘I Origins’ Photocall: For her second look, she wore a navy and white dress which, despite the cute bow, still had a touch of schoolmarm to it. This was further compounded with the lace-up brogues and 40s updo. You may remember that fellow Chanel ambassador Keira Knightley wore this same dress back in January this year, with a lot more success methinks.

‘The November Man’ Premiere: Yesterday evening the actress dazzled in a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 ballet-inspired black tulle gown rendered with gold star sequin embroidery throughout. Playing up the romantic mood of the look she teased her hair into a loose braid, accenting a complementary gold heart-shaped headband with Chanel pearls draped around her neck. Of the three looks this has to be my favourite as I’m swept away by the fairytale vibe, although I do find myself wanting to swap her shoes with Look 1.

Keira Knightley In Chanel Couture – ‘The Imitation Game’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley In Chanel Fall 2014 Couture - 'The Imitation Game' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley attended the premiere of the film ‘The Imitation Game’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

For the event, the star wore a gorgeous short sleeved, off-white neoprene embroidered dress with a silk tulle skirt from Chanel Fall 2014 Collection.

Of course it’s no surprise that Keira is wearing Chanel, but why on earth mix things up when it works so very well for you? This lovely, ethereal dress is so luxuriously fabricated and looks so feminine on Keira’s petite frame.

The peep toe, ankle-strap, bow-accented silk shoes are also the perfect girly pairing with this dress, and I love that she chose a color, but a very subdued one to complement the look.

Voluminous waves, and dark-rimmed eyes with a tiny wing and mauve lips complete this divine look.

Perfection, right?
