Lily Allen In Chanel – Chiltern Firehouse

Lily Allen In Chanel - Chiltern Firehouse

Lily Allen was back home in London following Monday night’s Met Gala.

Not allowing jet lag to set in, the singer was spotted leaving the Chiltern Firehouse in London on Wednesday (May 7).

Dressing up for dinner, Lily wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 black organza jacket and skirt accented with black, white and red stars, which is an inimitable statement look which glimmers from every angle.

It’s possible that this picture was taken at the end of her night as the collar on her white blouse is undone and she opted to go sans bow tie.

Simple black pumps and a black manicure completed her dinner-date look.

You may remember that Diane Kruger wore this look with considerably more polish to ‘The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden’ premiere during Berlinale Film Festival.

Mary-Kate Olsen In vintage Chanel & Ashley Olsen In vintage Gianfranco Ferré & – 2014 Met Gala

"Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen attended the ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

While their kid sister Elizabeth Olsen opted for a summery hue, Ashley and Mary-Kate worked a dark colour palette.

As you know, I have probably never been a fan of their style, but on this occasion I found myself not shouting ‘next’ upon seeing Mary-Kate’s striped vintage Chanel gown and Ashley’s military-inspired Gianfranco Ferré.

Neither was unnecessarily oversized and both accessorized perfectly, with Ashley just edging out as my favourite here as I favour the sleek design.

My one wish, as always, is that they would stand apart on the red carpet so we could get a good look at their frocks.

Lily Allen In Chanel Couture – 2014 Met Gala

Lily Allen In Chanel Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Lily Allen attended the 2014 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 5).

Working many shades of grey, she turned to the Chanel archives in a Fall 2012 Couture gown, which was embellished by ballet-pink accents via bows at the shoulders and ribbon panels.

Sparkle came in the form of Chanel Fine Jewelry pieces, and dynamic nail art brought some sass appeal.

So, too, did her dramatic, overly exaggerated cat-eye and her sculpted, jet-black hair, which was piled high atop her head, perhaps in an effort to bring in more vintage-inspired flair.

Chloe Moretz In Chanel Couture – 2014 Met Gala

Chloe Moretz In Chanel Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Chloe Moretz looks darling on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

Chloe was dressed in the Chanel Paris-Dallas collection with Chanel Fine Jewelry.

This dress is such a fun and edgy take on classic Chanel, which is chic yet age-appropriate for the young actress. The quirky collar and belt with hints of timeless tweed and whimsical layers come together beautifully on her.

Chloe’s long blonde hair in loose waves is prettily pulled back in the front to showcase a subtle smoky eye. Everything about this look gets major approval from me. A picture-perfect moment for a fashion star in the making. What is your take?

Kristen Stewart In Chanel Couture – 2014 Met Gala

Kristen Stewart In Chanel Couture - 2014 Met Gala

Kristen Stewart attended the 2014 Met Gala in New York City on Monday (May 5).

The face of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2014 campaign donned an edgy Spring 2014 Couture look which brought out a gorgeous smile from the actress.

Kristen’s black and gold sequin, tulle and feather embroidered dress which was styled with Chanel Fine jewels and black Louboutin pumps turned out, with all due respect, better than I expected.

You see, I was worried about the bright orange hair, but it doesn’t play a factor. If anything it enhances it.

Do you agree?

As the host of tonight’s proceedings, Anna Wintour was the first to take to the red carpet for the ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

As expected, she wore Chanel Couture, selecting a Fall 2013 organza gown with black, pink and white appliqués featuring a sheer yoke.

Aside from the removal of the black belt, there were no modifications to be had on this occasion, but she did switch things up in both the footwear and jewels department for a refreshing change.

Rita Ora In Chanel – 106 & Park

Rita Ora In Chanel - 106 & Park

Continuing the promotion of her latest single, ‘I Will Never Let You Down’, Rita Ora paid a visit to 106 & Park at BET studio on Wednesday (April 30) in New York City.

Dressed in a distinctive Chanel Spring 2014 colourful frock featuring an asymmetrical strap and nipped-in waist, the singer perhaps overcooked the look with the gold rope sandals.

On this rare occasion the bold red lip works well with the look, and I love the styling of her cropped ‘do.

You may remember that Naomie Harris previous wore this dress.

I’m sure the next time we will see Rita is at the Met Gala, where she will join the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emmy Rossum, Margot Robbie, Jessica Chastain and many, many more.

We will be covering the event live on Monday evening.

Lily Allen In Chanel & Fendi – Chanel VIP Beauty Launch & Fendi Bond Street Store Opening Party

Lily Allen In Chanel & Fendi - Chanel VIP Beauty Launch & Fendi Bond Street Store Opening Party

It’s hard being fashion’s current ‘IT’ girl. Lily Allen was invited to not one but two fashion events on Thursday (May 1) in London, England.

Her night started at Chanel’s Beauty VIP launch held at Covent Garden, where she wore a Chanel Spring 2014 green tweed dress with white embellished short sleeves, which she styled with a Fendi mini ‘Peekaboo’ bag with a Buggies accent.

If you think it’s rather strange that Lily, of all people, would attend a Chanel event carrying anything other than Chanel, the next look will help things fall into place.

Opting not to do a quick change in the car, Lily’s next stop was New Bond Street, where she donned a multi-coloured Fendi Fall 2013 fur coat over her Chanel frock for the cocktail party celebrate the opening of their new store and preview the Fendi ‘Peekaboo’ customised bags.

This isn’t the first time this coat has been seen off the runway; Anna Dello Russo was, naturally, the first to wear this fuzzy creation over a year ago.

The Fendi ‘Peekaboo’ bags, customized by iconic women, will be auctioned off online at Fendi.com/peekaboo-auction with all proceeds going to Kids Company.
