Chanel & Vanity Fair France Dinner Party

Chanel & Vanity Fair France Dinner Party
With the fashionable force of celebrities in town for the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival in France, no better time for another starry party. Chanel and ‘Vanity Fair’ took the opportunity to fete the occasion on Tuesday (May 20) with a dinner at the beachfront restaurant, Tetou, where a bevy of Chanel-clad beauties were on the scene.

Lily Allen: The British singer-songwriter was dressed in a blue tweed frock with glittery embroidery from the Chanel Spring 2012 Couture collection, which she paired with (not pictured) gunmetal metallic pumps. The classic silhouette received a punchy accent via the embellished cold-shoulder sleeves and patchwork hemline. While her blue pendant earrings may have been unnecessary given the glitz of the dress, the yellow Chanel clutch was definitely a questionable blot on this look.

Jessica Chastain: Whereas Lily went for shine, Jessica kept her look on a more subtle level, donning a Chanel Resort 2014 white tweed dress with pockets. From her flame-red locks to her barely-there makeup and natural nails, this was the embodiment of au naturel styling. We can’t see if her shoes added a spark, but were you bored, or did you appreciate her breezy, effortless beauty?

Poppy Delevingne Weds James Cook In Chanel Couture

Poppy Delevingne Weds James Cook In Chanel CouturePoppy Delevingne wed longtime beau James Cook on Friday (May 16) in what certainly was a glorious occasion at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London.

She was the epitome of a beautiful and blushing bride, walking down the aisle in a Chanel Couture wedding gown—a masterwork of magical floral embroidery, lace and beading, all cascading into a long, romantic train.

Much like Poppy’s signature style, this confection stepped just sideways of traditional with its structured mini-dress-like top half and style-forward sheer skirting from the thigh down.

The design came off as fresh and effortless—yet still so very elegant—despite its intricate level of detail. Her styling, including the light wisp of a veil, soft blonde waves and radiant makeup, was just as graceful.

As rightly pointed out by many of you, Blake Lively wore this same dress to the Green Lantern LA premiere back in 2011.

Blake Lively In Chanel Couture – ‘Mr Turner’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Blake Lively In Chanel Couture - 'Mr Turner' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Blake Lively was back on the red carpet this evening (May 15) for the ‘Mr Turner’ Premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

The actress wore a Chanel Spring 2014 Couture iridescent ankle-length dress enriched with sequins, tulle and organza embroideries with a silk kimono draped around her arms.

I can already feel that some will take exception to the plunging neckline, but my issue the placement of her hands in her pockets, mimicking the runway.

This is not the first time she has mimicked the runway. You may remember her Lanvin Spring 2011 look worn to the Spike TV Awards, where she parted her skirt to give it movement like the runway image.

Nonetheless, this was another amazing look for Blake, who dazzled as brightly as the frock, accessorising with Sophia Webster ‘Etta’ pink pumps with a diamante heel, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Carole Bouquet attended the opening ceremony and ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in Cannes, France.

Living up to the promise she showed at the photocall earlier in the day, she looked divine wearing Chanel again, this time selecting a pastel-pink silk-tulle halter gown with sequins, tulle and organza embroideries from the Spring 2014 Couture collection.

Missing a chic updo, the look was styled with Chanel sandals, Chanel Fine Jewelry and jarring raspberry clutch.

Kendall Jenner attended the opening ceremony and the ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) as a guest of Chopard.

Dazzling in their jewels, the model wore an edgy look from Chanel’s Resort 2014 collection.

Unlike Karlie Kloss, Kendall was able to look youthful, sexy and chic, taking her look up a notch with sleek styling courtesy of her metallic-silver clutch and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

A slicked-back ponytail is the only thing missing from this look for me.

Sofia Coppola & Carole Bouquet In Chanel - Cannes Film Festival Jury Photocall

Jury members Sofia Coppola and Carole Bouquet attended the jury photocall during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival today (May 14) in Cannes, France.

Sofia Coppola: The filmmaker’s look was even more pared back than usual, looking effortlessly chic wearing a simple sky-blue blouse with black trousers styled with ballet flats and a Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton clutch.

Carole Bouquet: The French actress provided the glam at this showing, wearing a colourful Chanel Spring 2014 dress featuring a shredded skirt which she styled with orange flats. I’m already excited to see what she’s going to wear to tonight’s premiere.
