Chopard, Vanity Fair and HBO Cannes Parties

A Vanity Fair and HBO dinner party was held on Saturday (May 20) as part of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, with a group of glamorous gals in attendance.

Julianne Moore: While the actress did stick to a darker colour palette, she brought a dose of whimsical fun in this Chanel Resort 2017 embellished gown with multi-hued, feathered pouf sleeves. Exchanging the pink sash for a black one along with a sleek bun and Chopard jewels ensured plenty of her signature modern elegance was brought to the table.

Kristen Stewart In Chanel – ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Remember the time when Kristen Stewart wore a big frothy Oscar de la Renta gown and it didn’t feel authentic?

Well, as much as I want to hate this, this feels authentically Kristen.

Had you told me someone was going to wear a boob tube with frayed bouclé pinafore dress – despite it being Chanel – to the ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening, I would’ve had to check your pulse.

But it’s mine I’m checking as I really like the look. Scratch that, I kinda love it.

It’s cool in a “take it or leave it” kinda way which I’m totally buying into.

I’m bracing myself for the comments on this one.

‘Loveless (Nelyubov)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Loveless (Nelyubov)’ premiere at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 18) included a number of other bold names on the red carpet, although I fear that none of them will have upped the Cannes style ante this year.

Susan Sarandon: I was underwhelmed by Susan’s look at opening night and this Chanel Resort 2017 ensemble didn’t really change that sentiment. with Stella Luna ‘Le Smoking’ slingbacks, Chanel Fine Jewelry and Chanel shades

Robin Wright: Robin opted for a long gown this time out, but while the colour was magnificent, the satiny slip dress fell rather flat. A blue velvet Hayward clutch completed the look.

Uma Thurman: Uma impressed me yesterday, but I was left supremely puzzled by this Giuseppe Zanotti Fall 2017 ensemble consisting of a ‘Connie’ black croc-stamped biker jacket—why in the Cannes summer?—paired with an ill-fitting, creased satin skirt and a Tod’s clutch. It was a bit of a mess.

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel & Chanel Couture – ‘Wonderstruck’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

While Michelle Williams was racking up a LV double, Julianne Moore was also setting her own path by opting for two French brands for the ‘Wonderstruck’ photocall and premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival today (May 18).

Photocall: Green and red has always been fruitful red carpet combination for Julianne and this leafy Sonia Rykiel Spring 2017 dress was no different. Despite the bold hue, the look is relatively understated, offering a modern take on the classic shirt dress with timeless appeal. The look was styled with Gianvito Rossi ‘Coco’ sandals.

Premiere: Much like green and red, Julianne and Chanel have always produced awe-inspiring results. I was already swept away by the embellishments, but feathers always adds an additional eye-catching allure. Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals and Chopard jewels induced more shimmer and shine.

Marion Cotillard In Chanel – Cannes Film Festival Opening Gala Dinner

From my recollection, Marion Cotillard’s last Chanel look was from the 2008 BAFTAs, and I never thought I would see the day, again, but that she did for the opening gala dinner during Cannes Film Festival, following her Jean-Paul Gaultier and Y/Project looks from earlier in the day.

I like how this fresh-off-the runway Chanel Resort 2018 tunic-style dress takes the shift silhouette to a new, eclectic terrain.

Keeping the same natural hair and makeup, the look was styled with barely-there transparent PVC sandals.
